Oh i agree on that he needs some Plays off. However he had 13 carries last night. There’s no way in the biggest moments of the game i have him on the sideline. This isn’t corey clement from 2017 or Scott from the end of last year. Both have not been particularly great this year.  downright awful

I agree they don’t have great depth behind him right now. Clement and Scott haven’t been good enough in the carries they have gotten this year.

FYP.  I was hesitant with all of the Boston Scott love and handing him the #2 RB after just 4 games.  JK Dobbins instead of Hurts would be nice.

What’s crazy is that Agholor is doing that now in Vegas. So frustrating. He looked really good in the bit I watched yesterday.

Yea. Everyone could see he needed a new start in a new city. It will be interesting to see if he can sustain it or if he falls back into his mental slump. Either way, if he stayed, he's not catching that ball Fulgham did.

That was the name I said when their pick came up.

LOL and I hate "THE OHIO STATE Unicursity"

Ok gotta go... work to do ... stay safe.

Doug's not stupid. Give the guy a break and see if it works out .... OR if what gets you through the week is "Hanging him in Effigy? "

All the power to ya. So long as I don't have to watch it.

Agreed.

Doug talking about why Sanders wasn't in at the end of the game. I still don't understand. Apparently having Clement in for that situation was "by design" It doesn't look like he can run to me.

Well it did take them forever to finally admit Sproles was done

Thread.

There's no act Champ.

Was Doug right or wrong about saying that EVEN when you win there's going to be people who have a problem?

You don’t even get it

OK that's Edwards, Ford, DJack, Parks all with severe hamstring injuries.  Again, the strength and training team they have must be doing something wrong.  The soft tissue injuries this team suffers year in and year out are just unreal.

I can understand not wanting to have Sanders in all the time. He does need a break. But you just don't have a #2 RB who can be a threat behind him. If only they had a way to acquire someone, say through the draft, this past offseason.

Fournette was out there -- and we gave the money he signed for to Peters.  Not saying Fournette wouldn't have signed in TB anyway, but ...... again, use of financial resources.

Yea, I said it before the game.  I would much rather go through growing pains with Mailata as he steadily improves and learns the game instead of the same mistakes from JP as he declines.

From a fan perspective watching the game last night you wouldn't have known the difference if it was JP or Mailata.

Actually, Mailata looked far better last night than Peters did against the Bengals.

If Mailata was so great in the ground game and they still have expectations for Dillard, it might be time to think of a future for Mailata at RT.  If you want to fly off the rails and say woe is us about injuries every year, then you might want to re-evaluate our future relationship with a certain over 30 RT who hasn't played 16 games since 2015 and is one of the highest paid OL in the NFL.  I'm sure that thought will be well received by you guys 😅

I mean, I've ran that through my head.  With the cap hell they are facing.  EVERYTHING needs to be on the table to A. save money B. get younger C. get healthier

No doubt Johnson is in the twilight of his career, even hurt with him playing yesterday much better than Driscoll.

I'd rather the Aussie Destroyer stay at LT.  If Dillard is the collateral damage of that, so be it.  Of course one game a career does not make but I think he is at this moment better than Dillard

It was nice to see them rolling Carson out of the pocket a but more.

One other positive we know this team plays well with their backs to the wall. Let's see how well Dallas holds up.

As to the season

Ertz out there with 4 receptions for 9 yards is really not making the case for an extension.

You have to understand some people feel the need to be experts and predict the demise of the team and insist that no matter what we suck and need to fire and trade everyone. Of course every 12 years or so they're right.

And I'd like to thank those who quote those nuts for helping me to see that I'm not missing anything worth noting when they post.

I think the greatest value is in keeping Mailata as a swing tackle back-up, with the provision that Dillard lives up to his draft status (not a given by any means).

I had this thought as well. Lane Johnson is here until 2023 (this year + 2 more years). Lane is still fantastic when he plays.

It'll be Mailata vs. Dillard next year...if Driscoll can play, then Dillard is on the block.

Id still force Doug to give up the OC role of game planning and scripting. Go back to winning formula of 2017. Trust your staff.

By that do you mean healthy players?

I think they need to figure out what Mailata really is...and the balance of this season will help with that.

If he's got a real shot to be a superhuman franchise LT, then Dillard is acceptable collateral damage.  If he's a big athletic monster who might still be a little too big for a perfect pass protecting LT and might fit well at RT. then I'd try to let Dillard take this job back and would think about RT for Mailata.

Or maybe Mailata is just a backup, another Vaitai.

I don't want to actively get rid of possibly the best RT in franchise history.  But we do, collectively, freak out about injuries.  And Lane Johnson is, officially, someone for whom it will never be a surprise to see him out of the lineup.

We were healthy in 2017? Wentz, Peters, Hicks, Sproles just to name a few. We were far from Healthy.

True.  But spent a lot of time as the inline TE last night, helping the OTs.

Also had a -6 on a poor choice by Wentz.
