feels like not too long ago there was a panic around not getting Everson Griffen. I still think those sack numbers are inflated a bit due to playing bad o-lines but it's encouraging regardless.

Reagor has looked good.  I would like to see the Eagles use Reagor like SF and CLE have used their WRs in the running game.

I think he looked good on one reception really. I don’t have a good vibe about Reagor being a number one WR. A gadget slot guy to make a play here and there, yeah. But we need much more than that, especially out of round frikn one.

He has 5 catches on 8 targets for 96 yards.  He has played 2 games.  Wentz also overthrew him on a deep pass where he was wide open.  He has looked the part of a good WR.

Said it dozens of times.

Where every Nelly ends up he will look like a good, competent WR because he will be used correctly. Doug didnt use him correctly after Reich left and it showed.

He has 118 yards in 4 games.  He's not killing it.  Doug didn't do anything to make him drop catchable balls.  I agree he is a better number 3 receiver but  Doug didn't have any choice due about how to use Agholor due to the injuries the team had.  Agholor is a good slot receiver.  He can't play outside.

Where are the good o-lines?  Not many to be found.

I agree there aren't many. Steelers and Ravens are pretty good up front. The Rams O-line managed to hold up pretty well against this defense. And who knows down the stretch what will happen.

Imagine the nerve of Doug to ask his WR to track a deep thrown ball?

They put in their big back and their hard to see back which makes sense.  Bigger back, Clement, on first down to try to push the pile, smaller but well balanced quick hitter hoping for a squirt play.  Both failed as it played to the strength of the 49ers D last night.  A quick slant to Ward on first down would have been a better call.

Frankly i want my best players on the field at the most critical times. I’m not taking out my best weapon for clement or Scott. I don’t care of Clement is a bigger back or Scott is a harder to see back. they aren’t nearly as good as Sanders. And have been terrible so far this year. That’s the I think I’m the smartest person in the room problem. You overthink and try to be smarter than what you need to be. Sanders can find a crease and hit it. Neither one of those guys this year has done that. I’m not taking my best offense of player off the field at the most critical juncture of the game. That makes no sense. It would be like taking Carson Wentz off the field to put Jalen hurts into the game at the end of the game because hurts is a better runner.

Oh i agree on that he needs some Plays off. However he had 13 carries last night. There’s no way in the biggest moments of the game i have him on the sideline. This isn’t corey clement from 2017 or Scott from the end of last year. Both have not been particularly great this year.

I agree they don’t have great depth behind him right now. Clement and Scott haven’t been good enough in the carries they have gotten this year. Not all on them but really they haven’t been nearly good enough

Miles played like crap last night

Top of the NFC East. No more "who will the eagles take top 5 in the draft"?

Sanders was playing hurt yesterday.  Every time he came off the field they were working his glute.

I'm pretty sure the reason he wasn't in at the end had mostly to do with him being hurt and/or preventing further possible strain, etc and little to do with Duce or Doug preferring to use Clement and/or Scott.

And Clement and Scott have played like crap in all four games. I still want my best player on the field at the most important time. Not a guy who has 3.3 yards per carry and not a guy who has 2.7 yards per carry on the season which kd still on the season worse than what Sanders did last night at 3.5. Scott had to carry 0.5 yards a carry last night. Clement had 1.5 yards per carry. Both were worse than sanders.

the hoops and defending of taking your best offensive weapon at the moment off the field is ridiculous. Especially for two guys who have been worse so far in that game and two of the most unproductive backs in the league with more than 10 carries.

I can only go Off what doug said in his presser and saying don’t read too much into it and he wasn’t hurt. If that’s the case that is not reasonable to take your best player off the field. Frankly even Sanders at 75% has been better than Scott and clement. Go look around the league with running backs with 10 or more carries Scott and Clement are up there with some of the worst in the league with more than 10 rushes. And that’s not all on the offensive line

Depends how they won.

Did he call a good game? yesterday was the 4th game in a row where Doug called a bad, to shitttttiieee game.

I thought he called a very good game. He had a practice squad to work with. Going for two after the first TD dominated the whole game.

Doug refusing to put Sanders in on that final drive was weird. He clearly doesn’t trust him in a situation like that.

That didn't bother me. It reminded me of the Eagles drive after the Julio Jones incompletion on fourth down in the playoffs. The Eagles still needed to get a first down to ice the game, otherwise they'd have been forced to punt the ball to the Falcons and allow them a couple of Hail Mary attempts. And it was Clement that they gave the ball to and it was he who got them the first down after a Falcons penalty gifted them five yards. You can trust Clement with the ball. He was the guy who flipped it back to Foles on the flea flicker to Smith against the Vikings. And it was Clement who took the snap on the Philly Special.

Ball security is pretty f'n important at that moment.

My issue with the play calling on their final possession was running into a stacked line with 2:01 on the clock. A throw is much more likely to gain positive yardage. And the clock stops either way.

Yeah, the play-calling and gameplan were about as good as they could have been.

Yeah maybe.  My best guess is that Duce still handles the RB rotation and he knew Sanders was tender.  (They were literally working his glute in between series) So for them to say he wasn't hurt (or at least sore) is sort of lol.

Sanders has had ball security issues too.

If sanders isn’t healthy enough to go out there say that.  don’t play it like it was your decision. It doesn’t help either of you. And I would buy that except for the fact last year we talked about them taking Zach Ertz off the field similarly when they got into the red zone at the end of the game with a chance to take the lead   And minimal time left so they were forced to throw. so this isn’t the first time we’ve done something like this with one of our best weapons (have to go back and find what game that exactly was but I distinctly remember discussing why are they taking Zach Ertz the best receiving weapon off the field at that point in the game where it was on the line late in the 4th quarter)

Part of this issue is their backups at running back have really been Completely underwhelming to this point in the season. i don’t know how anyone has any trust in clement he’s looked awful this year. I’m sorry this isn’t 2017 anymore. He’s not looked good in his carries. Scott hasn’t been much better.

Yep. Doug has a few playcalls that were just bad, but they have to dumb the offense down for players who aren’t used to playing or are new to the team/position.

We were down to four offensive starters for a lot of that game.

People’s expectations for a coach are really out of whack.

I think you're getting all sorts of twisted up in YPC numbers. I understand your overall point, that you want your best guy out there to finish the game. If I had to bet on it, I think Doug/Duce trusted Clement/Scott to hold onto the ball more than they do Sanders. I don't think they'd every publicly admit that, but it seems to be the only thing that makes sense. We can argue if Clement/Scott are more secure handlers, but I think that's why we saw what we saw.

But that goes back to part of your issue with Corey Clement. You don’t want him to run into a stacked line with two minutes and one second left but what play are you gonna call for him? He’s not good enough anymore to get to the outside on a stretch. And he’s not been nearly as effective as a receiver as sanders is out of the backfield over he last 2 years. There’s a reason why he’s averaging 2.7 yards per carry on the year.

Are you gonna call pass play? That’s pretty ballsy for a offense that doesn’t exactly have a great playmakers at wide receiver right now and ertz was completely taken away in the game. It works if you complete the passes but if not then the Niners are gonna have timeouts so then you’re in a ton trouble.

so to me It comes back to i feel you can run way more things with sanders out there then clement and Scott as he’s ore diverse, better and teams fear him and have to account for him which might help open something up or the defense overcompensates.
