It seems like Gym Shorts has been blitzing a bit more this year (not sure where I could find the exact numbers). And the blitzes seem to be effective when he's used them. I hope to see a bit more.

I’ll think much higher of Wentz if he can lead the team to a win in at least 1 of the 2 next games. Both are winnable games vs. overrated teams, imo.

And I live in Baltimore and used to live in Pittsburgh so I’d love to talk lots of smack.

We were healthy in 2017? Wentz, Peters, Hicks, Sproles just to name a few. We were far from Healthy.

Yes, we had some big name injuries in '17. The names you cited. But across the bulk of the rest of the roster, they were relatively healthy that year.

But the last three years have been ridiculous because it's always specific units that are getting wiped out. This year it's OL and WR. And CB to an extent. It's hard to function when you have waves of injuries across the roster like that.

I wonder if the Eagles file a grievance about that game clock not running down past the two minute warning on the last kickoff. They ended up winning which kind of made it a moot point, but still, that was gross. As far as the ref falling over and being "hurt"....I don't know if I've ever seen such a thing, especially in a 2 minute drill. It all seemed very dubious at best, and sinister at worst.

where he rolled to his side, that nailed my vote for oscar.

OK that's Edwards, Ford, DJack, Parks all with severe hamstring injuries.  Again, the strength and training team they have must be doing something wrong.  The soft tissue injuries this team suffers year in and year out are just unreal.

Not sure if its 100% on them this year, a lot of the training was done independently due to Covid, but its a bad look... again.

In the RZ, you’re going to have to play more LBs against bigger personnel. We play two absolute scrubs a lot of snaps in the RZ. (That’s not even counting Edwards, who has too small of a sample size to determine whether he is in fact a scrub)

If we want to blame Schwartz for the personnel, I guess, but bad players are going to play badly most of the time.

This is nonsense. Doug called plenty of plays to help us be successful, but the players (many times the QB) screwed it up. You’re being results oriented vs process oriented.

I disagree.  I think up until this game he relied way too much on simply having Carson in the same 5 yard shotgun and keeping him in the pocket.  Against the Bengals he moved him under center more and last night finally moved him, had him under center, truly mixed it up which helped his young offensive line and struggling QB.  Carson has missed throws no doubt, but until last night Doug had not called a game that truly fits what Carson does best.  He finally did and they win even with 7 back ups starting, Ertz ineffective, and the pocket routinely collapsing.  Carson is a better QB with a heavy dose of the following four elements: under center, pace, movement, read option all of which were present last night

What grade do you get for just standing there and doing nothing, because that's basically what Gerry did for most of the game.

The defense hasn't been the problem, outside of the Rams game.  In the Rams game, they got schooled.

What’s crazy is that Agholor is doing that now in Vegas. So frustrating. He looked really good in the bit I watched yesterday.

Yup, he even caught a deep over the shoulder ball that was called back.

Even against bums that’s impressive.

9ers have good depth players and a good defensive cord. that's scheme's games and makes adjustments so mailata should get props

What makes it worse right now fans are seeing all these first round wide receivers playing really well and our guy is hurt. I have no problem with Reagor. I think he’ll be fine. It just sucks seeing all these guys performing and then our guy somehow gets hurt. It’s just our luck

Then "fans" ought to wait for Reagor not to be injured before declaring how much better receiver x or y are. Now if they want to beyotch about JJAW have at it

But that goes back to part of your issue with Corey Clement. You don’t want him to run into a stacked line with two minutes and one second left but what play are you gonna call for him? He’s not good enough anymore to get to the outside on a stretch. And he’s not been nearly as effective as a receiver as sanders is out of the backfield over he last 2 years. There’s a reason why he’s averaging 2.7 yards per carry on the year.

Are you gonna call pass play? That’s pretty ballsy for a offense that doesn’t exactly have a great playmakers at wide receiver right now and ertz was completely taken away in the game. It works if you complete the passes but if not then the Niners are gonna have timeouts so then you’re in a ton trouble.

so to me It comes back to i feel you can run way more things with sanders out there then clement and Scott as he’s ore diverse, better and teams fear him and have to account for him which might help open something up or the defense overcompensates.

That play should have been a pass anyway... Catch them stacking the line and get a good chunk or even another first down.  No matter what happened on that play... completion, incompletion, in bounds, out of bounds... the clock was going to stop for the 2 minute warning.   A pass play would have taken a little more time off the clock, even if Wentz just heaved the ball as far as he could out the back of the end zone, rather than running a dive right into the stacked LOS.

Felt Wentz played better than the previous 3 games. I still think he needs to get rid of the ball quicker, he's holding on too long. But is he holding onto it longer because we are on our 4th+ string WR and can't get separation, or is it more the O-Line not giving him a clean pocket?

I like how Wentz was asked to roll out of the pocket some more to help with the issues on the OL, but feel our WR's still struggle to consistently get separation. This is the 2nd year in a row where we are starting 4th string WR's. Howie has not done a good job of getting healthy players in here. Too many old, injured, or untalented players at premiere positions.

Why can't you all stop quoting that guy. You're all like a moth to fire.

We are among the league leaders in RPOs. We’ve been putting Wentz on the move outside of the Washington game.

The Rams game was a good game plan by Doug. Wentz failed.

Cincinnati was fine, but Wentz’s two awful interceptions torpedoed us.

Yesterday’s game plan was fine considering what we had (chicken salad out of chicken S), but it wasn’t some great performance by the O. It was a slog.

The JJAW one will always be scrutinized kind of like Marcus smith.

Agreed, although the RZ defense needs to improve. With bad LBs and a bad CB2, I’m not sure it will.

If Mailata was so great in the ground game and they still have expectations for Dillard, it might be time to think of a future for Mailata at RT.  If you want to fly off the rails and say woe is us about injuries every year, then you might want to re-evaluate our future relationship with a certain over 30 RT who hasn't played 16 games since 2015 and is one of the highest paid OL in the NFL.  I'm sure that thought will be well received by you guys 😅

They've played Mailata at the RT spot in the past (I think he played there a lot in PS last season).   So, having Mailata as an option at RT as well is a good thing.   I'd love to see this go well with Mailata, and I believe Dillard is a good LT... not a 'road grader' type, but a good LT (as seen in limited action).
