He did get a touch on that motion and lost about 10 yards on the play. Pretty sure he had a catch as well for almost no yards.

Wasn't that the double reverse behind the QB?

For who?  For what?

Srs does that mean someone is actually healthy?

My only two issues with the defense besides the linebackers which i think we all can agree is probably the weakest part of this team is their red zone defense and making stops at critical moments in games on 3rd down. The red zone they have given up 11 tds in 16 trips. One trip Washington Gave them a stop up 10 with under a minute. That had to be better. To their credit better last night as mcleod got a pick.

Other area is 3rd down and long in critical moments. It was a 3rd and 8 from the 38. We could have gotten either a long fg attempt or even a punt if we get the stop. Aiyuk goes for 38 yards and a touchdown. Same thing happened last week on 3rd and 15 and Bernard gets 42. 3rd and 8 and 3rd and 9 against Washington on the game winning td drive they couldn’t get off the field. Rams got 28 yards by Henderson on 3rd and 9 to set up a touchdown. This has been an issue in the past. Still seems to be an answer. We really need to be better in this area.

I'm not arguing that the defense has been great.   But, the bigger issues have been on the offensive side of the ball.

Miles played behind an O line with 4 backups playing.

He's not Barry Sanders.

He was slow and indecisive. I think hes still hurt. He left a lot of yards on the field last night

And I am no Clement fan, I dont think he's an NFL level RB anymore to be honest.

But Miles wasnt good last night and Im not going to make a big fuss about them going another direction for a few drives

I didnt see much difference between Scott and Sanders last night

It doesn't matter who was better last year, last night is all that matters and Sanders was slow and indecisive, I assume he's still hurt.  So I dont think I can kill Doug for that, I dont believe it hurt the team last night

Boston scott has been awful all year. This isn’t about last year. And Scott was bad again last night. Say whatever you want sanders had a 3.5 yards per carry last night and was not great but Scott got two carries got a total of 1 yard. Again I’m not taking my best offensive weapon off the field in the biggest moment in the game for a backup running back who’s been bad all season especially not when sanders has the potential to bust a huge run even when he’s looked pedestrian all night. That 28 yard receptions was all miles sanders. That’s why i don’t take him off he field at that moment in time

The offense has not scored more than 18 pts in a game.  It has been abysmal.

They had nine guys on the line. If you don't throw super quick you're going to be engulfed.

I haven't rewatched the game, so I don't know that what you are saying is true... but I think the play there is a pass, not to run the ball into that stack... just my opinion.  2:01 on the clock... what's the downside?

Oh for sure. I think the offense comes down to injuries piling up and wentz hadn’t played well through the first three weeks. The defense besides maddox being hurt and hargrave/Barnett at the beginning of the year have been mostly healthy.

He was good enough doing those things to get the Eagles home field advantage in 2017, and was good enough to be considered the MVP, and good enough that WRs around the league were clamoring to play with him, but then Doug took over the offense and since then....

Carson has his faults, but if the game is called to accentuate what he does best he is MVP quality.  And it shouldn't go unnoticed that after calling a game that suits Wentz, when they needed a dime dropped from.the pocket on 2nd and 18 with 6 minures left int which game to a practice squad WR to take the lead, he was money.  Confidence breeds Confidence.

I think crediting that dime to Fulgham to designed rollouts is peak confirmation bias.

Woulda been nice to have Fournette there.

I thought he called a very good game. He had a practice squad to work with. Going for two after the first TD dominated the whole game.

This isn’t talked about enough.  When the Eagles lined up to try for two I said to myself "WTH is he doing!?”  That extra point came in very handy.

Yes.

And given the OL troubles, that's not surprising.

I think he works best as a pass catcher.  They have been terrible in the screen game and that hasn't been on the RBs.  I think they have had one good screen pass in 4 games and that was the one on Sunday that went for 8 yards to Ertz.

That was a "yeah, sorry for showing zero faith in you last week.”

He had the cleanest pocket I've seen all season on that play... I think that played a huge part in it.

Well he was out yesterday with an injury. But i was for bringing in a veteran back to backup sanders. I preferred Freeman cause he still can be helpful in the pass game.

I think there's a lot of blame to go around from Wentz, to the o-line, to the play design and play calls.

I wasn't shocked by that decision.  It was back to 2017 Doug.

Clement's time has come and gone.  Sadly the injuries caught up to him.  He was a beast in 2017 and huge for SB52 but that was 3 years ago.  He isn't even JAG, he's below average and not helping the team at all.  He's a good hype man, lots of pre-game dancing but not sure that wins games in the NFL.  They claimed Huntley, even dressed him last night.  Let's see what he can do...but even with him you have another mighty mouse running back.

Howie has an odd ability to find players on other practice squads.  Might be time to start searching for a few backs, or call up Holyfield.

He’s hurt and out, he’d fit right in

Don’t disagree. I think he’s actually best utilized as a third down type back but they don’t have a no. 2 back behind sanders on the roster. Their screen game has been a mess. Frankly first down would have been a great time to call a screen considering they hadn’t done it all game and might have caught the niners off guard. However i don’t think they had their best personnel out there to run that. Or even have sanders out wide on a quick pass and let him use his agility and ability to make people miss. With 9 guys at the line there was a chance if you got it out fast to sanders in the flat it could have been a huge gain

You can't block all those guys so there is a real possibility of a blocked or deflected pass for starters, especially with four backups on the OL. I do get the point that a pass is as good as a run as far as the clock is concerned.

Curious timing. I wonder if they are trying to poach someone.
