Unfortunately the Eagles went into the same vanilla prevent defense that CLE went into against DAL.  I think Schwartz figured since he came in cold he wouldn’t complete 15/17 or whatever it was

The thing is he should have switched it up on pass 5 instead of pass 15

All this talk about beathard is silly. He was slinging passes to the middle of the field against a soft prevent defense, any qb is going to look good in that circumstance.

Still one would like to see a defense in prevent tighten up the screws a bit more.

This isn’t just an Eagles thing either, defenses across the entire league do this when they are up two scores with around 5 or so minutes left to go. It happens all the time and I never get it. I understand not wanting to give up the big play but there has to be some sort of middle between not giving up the big play and not giving up 10-15 yard chunks at a time.

Miami owns Houston's 1st and 2nd round picks too!

I think the only reason BOB was keeping a job and consolidating any power was because Deshaun Watson was progressing and for some reason there are people that think BOB is a QB guru of sorts.  It'd be pretty funny if the owner asked Watson what was wrong in the organization, and Watson said "BOB"

Should have done it at the end of the last season. They might still have the best WR in the NFL on their team.

On another topic Foles proved he is the hot and cold QB most of us remember.

We were lucky he went on a hot streak in 2017

The loss had nothing to do with Foles, the Bears had no run game at all, they put up less than 30 yards rushing, you can't sustain drives like that,

Foles was actually pretty good second half and he still runs a two minute drill as well as anyone in the league.

Not unexpected,  gm O'Brien got hc o brien fired

To be honest, he wasn't that great of a coach either.

If you're going to fire a coach this early in the season, why would you even bring him back? He should have been gone 2 or 3 years ago.

I think the season is so uncertain there's no reason not to move on from him.  There's been rumors of him losing the locker room and it was clear Watson was not happy with the Hopkins trade.  https://sports.yahoo.com/de-andre-hopkins-tried-to-soften-blow-but-perception-of-toxic-texans-remains-for-bill-o-brien-to-clean-up-212241701.html

Miami is going to draft Trevor Lawrence now.

Almost sounds like another team we all know, doesn't it?

And Foles completion % in the first half was pretty bad

How many playoff wins did he have?

I agree, prevent defense has always driven me nuts especially as early as Schwartz went into it last night.

I can't believe the owner allowed it all to happen. Bill made a ton of stupid deals

Dont know but ,bad HCs dont win 4 div titles in 5 years .

Loved BO at penn state.

He will be a HC again, just dont give him GM power.

Reub has such a man crush on Clement.  What exactly is going to untrack Corey Clement?  9 yard wide holes to run through?

I'm pretty sure if Bob McNair hadn't died, then BOB would have been fired quite awhile ago.

Especially when your pass rush is hitting home - play tight coverage and make the throws difficult.  It's not like they had a speedy WR that can beat Slay deep.

They've gone against Haskins, Burrow and Mullens.

How'd they look against Goff and a competent team?

Well you want to talk about a "concern" THIS week.

Pittsburgh's got some young bucks that can play at wideout.

Smith Schuster , Claypool the kid from Notre Dame,  Diontae Johnson.

Defense looked bad but figured that game to be a shootout. Offense just couldn't go toe to toe. (Carson in a FUNK)  Least that's how I saw it. I'm not everybody.

Oh and I also think the Rams are the best team in the NFC this year which I'm sure is not the consensus opinion.
