why?  we have hurts.  trial by fire, like wentz.  it'd be their argument to us.  we have a decorated college qb on the bench which can take over.  he'll have another weapon now which can go with reagor, jaccpot, jeffrey, etc.

getting obj for a 2021 1st and a 2022 2nd makes sense for US.. but again, browns are winning.  why give up assets right now?  especially one which would affect your winning chances going forward?  if you're gonna do that, you BETTER take the farm from the other team.

In what world does it make sense for a trash team to give up 2 first round picks for an expensive receiver

I thought the blog was a place to get away from idiot topics like, trade Wentz for obj or  2 1st round picks for julio.

And of course somebody has to suggest the eagles need a big back, like derek henry's are just growing on trees😒

I know the Browns aren’t giving up obj. I’m just pointing out that the Eagles need to add weapons desperately and I don’t trust Howie in the draft. Wentz needs weapons. The best WR by far he’s had has been a healthy Alshon who played at a pro bowl level that season. He had Desean at a pro bowl level for one game and lit it up.

Hurts got benched in the national title game for a freshman. What great or even good nfl QB did that happen to in college? It was a dumb pick. He’s a more athletic Tyrod Taylor.

Well it’s not so go back to hanging out with one of your wives... 😏

from your quote that you highlighted, i said a 2021 1st and a 2022 2nd..  not two first round picks.  also, we haven't been drafting well.  i COULD see giving up that, but not two firsts.

Still too much. Might as well be 2 firsts if the team stays this bad. This team cannot afford to lose premium draft picks. Beckham isn't the last piece of a super bowl puzzle. You want us to look like the cowboys? Losing games 40 something to 30 whatever?

Nice pick

if eagles said that about hurts in negotiations for trading for obj with the browns, in an attempt to keep wentz, they'd laugh and hang up.

even "he's not ready" would not work.  they'd bring up wentz's trial by fire.  i'd want NO ONE on the birds' roster currently other than wentz.  cox, nope..  ertz, lul..  you get a first and wentz for obj cause you're winning.  you watch the team you send obj to continue to be a dumpster fire.

Well technically Fournette was there for the taking.

LOL. The falcons have Julio and Ridley and are 0-3. They haven’t been relevant in years. We don’t need that.

Our team needs to spend our next 2 1st rounders on O-Line and D-Line. It all starts at the line. That’s where the successful franchises spend quality capital. Not on WR.

You guys need to stop playing Madden. Falcons aren’t taking on over $30M in dead cap to trade Julio Jones

That’s fine. We got Travis Fulgham now anyway

they also have quinn as the head coach and that whole staff, which coached their team to just stand back instead of recovering a LIVE ball.  i wouldn't put it all on their receiving squad.

Love when Andy clears his throat after a win.

No. The team needs to invest in getting weapons for Wentz. Unless Alshon can return to at least his 2018 self he is done, Desean is cooked, JJAW is officially a bust, Reagor is still unknown and looks like he’s getting basically a medical redshirt.

Greg Ward is an average slot WR acting as the team’s number 1 for what the 7th game now?

Wentz needs playmakers on the outside. Do whatever you need to get them.

This team is far from being 1 WR away.

Again I’ll point you to the falcons spending all that capital to move up to get Julio. Sure he’s an amazing weapon. But it set the team back for years and they haven’t been relevant in 10 years except for 2016.

Our team has way too many aging players on the lines(where you need to spend high draft capital to get decent quality) than to give up 2 very high picks in exchange for a WR( where you can get quality players day 2 of the draft/FA).

Successful franchises(Pats, Chiefs, Packers, etc) do not trade a kings ransom for a WR.

Suggesting they need a big back isn't exactly saying they're out there though

Eagles could definitely use one

Believe Quez, Parks and James (and Vinny, but why?) are eligible to come off IR this week. They can activate Parks and James practice windows too.   One roster spot open.   Eagles have five openings on the PS (waiting Burnett and Arnold to return and possible Killins resigning).  Wonder if they approached Miller after he cleared waivers.

It’s a good point and a couple years ago I would have agreed with you. If I trusted this team to draft even quality WRs in the mid-rounds I’d feel differently.

As far as the O-Line goes. We’ll be fine there. Offensive holding calls are down dramatically, meaning the refs aren’t calling it. The league wants them to call games that favor shootouts. So I don’t think having pro bowlers at 3 or 4 positions on the OL won’t be that important. The Chiefs certainly don’t.

I get your point but Wentz needs playmakers. Not just fast guys but guys who make plays down the field.

The Falcons defense may actually be coached worse than Dallas. There are busts on every play.

Their scheme is awful too.

Falcons need a reset button on the franchise

They are down four or five Ss.

They haven't been the same since that SB embarrassment

Then play man coverage. GB is missing a ton of WRs. Atlanta insists on playing zone.
