I’m a huge Wentz supporter, but Rodgers is out there lighting it up without ideal talent at WR. Wentz is not close to his level.

yeah. and somehow not immune from entire season long struggles. Rodgers this year should provide hope for the Wentz doubters. Its apparently possible to regain form.

Rodgers was far from bad last year. He took his team to the nfc title game and lost because he had no o-line. 
 

In 2019 he threw for 4K- 26tds and 4 ints... I think Wentz already has 7 or 8 ints.

bet he is more comfortable behind his o line , makes a QB look better when he isn't worried he's about to get his head ripped off.

I don't think the Falcons ever got over blowing that SB.  Sure, they've had players come and go since then, but the core that has remained has just been ruined by it.  They need a total overhaul.

So GB doesn't exactly have a great D having given up 85 points their first 3 games, yet the Falcons with Ryan, Julio and Ridley have only put up 16pts so far and Julio and Ridley have had 8 targets for 4 receptions and only 32yds with 0 TDs.  Meanwhile, Rodgers has his WR1 Adams and WR2 Lazard out and he's gone 26-31 for 307yds with 4 TDs and 0 INTs.  Yeah, the Falcons' D is bad, but still Rodgers is shredding them with his most productive WR only having 3 receptions for 39 yards.  I think a good O scheme might have something to do with that.  The Falcons have very talented WRs and haven't done ish, GB has basically no really talented WRs and their having their way on O.  So while someone here a while ago was suggesting we trade away future draft picks for a bonafide WR1, I think this game shows that it's much more than just having a better WR out there.  O scheme, play calling and QB play are the biggest parts of it and right now the Eagles are just lacking in each aspect.  Sure, it would help to have WRs who are more than just JAGs or PS guys, but it would help more to have a good O scheme, play calling and good consistent QB play.  We saw a bit of that last night vs SF with Doug having more pre-snap motion, the play calling was an improvement and Wentz, while still not in 2017 form, did play better than he has been.  That was vs a good D and it made a difference even with JAG WRs, lack of a productive running game and Ertz with only 9yds receiving.  Having a solid healthy OL would also help more.  So no thanks to trading future high draft picks for Julio or OBJ.  For what it costs it won't help near as much as you think it will and there's still too many other needs that have to be addressed.

 

I think Atlanta misses Kyle Shanahan more than anything.

Sure, every team could use an offensive genius. But tonight was on leadership, man. I hate watching pathetic, hopeless football and that was the product Dan Quinn allowed on the field tonight. The Falcons just went through the motions all night; zero pride. Complete embarrassment.
