Is this the first time in his career where it’s a consensus that Wentz crap the bed? Let’s see how he responds.

Saints 2018 however he was playing with a fractured back and never responded that season cause he was out the rest of the season. I have a lot more faith in Wentz recovering then Doug ever changing. All these new coaches and the same old Doug. Now I will say 2017 week 2 loss, Doug made the change to give up scripting, game planning and we saw the results. maybe this embarrassment will do the same.

Inthink this is the first time where people were able to admit Wentz crapped the bed.

No. 2018 vs the Saints regular season was horrific

Even when this team had the 1-2 punch of Smallwood and 50 year old Sproles the Eagles still didn’t completely vacate the run game. It hasn’t been this bad since week 2 2017 when they lost to the Chiefs. The next week Doug started feeding Blount, a few weeks later trades for Ajayi, and boom off to the races this offense went.

Fournette could have been signed for the ransom that was paid to Peters

Peters needed to be rewarded for being such a stand-up team first guy.  "It's not our money, why should we care?"

Need help at RB. Specifically, a north/south thumper. There has to be a FA or two available

I would imagine if there hadn't been a crisis on the OL, they would have elevated Holyfield from the PS rather than Opeta to replace Miles today.

Also, I don't think Jim Brown would have made much of a difference behind our OL today.

It’s just all the excuses are kinda out the window. He’s not a young QB anymore.

I was not on the bandwagon to keep Vaitai or Howard.  Vaitai was basically unretainable.

But the fact remains that they let 2 players walk in the offseason who would have completely changed the complexion of this game.  Even if letting both walk was a necessity, they should have done more than nothing to replace their respective roles.

How exactly would Jordan Howard have changed the complexity of today’s game?

Do turnovers on downs count as regular turnovers though?  Just asking.....never really thought about it.

They do, the Eagles are a -5

That sack Wentz absorbed to give WASH the ball in Eagles territory was so much worse than an INT 20 yards downfield would have been

He did respond because he played relatively well the next three games before his season ended

He's usually been pretty off, but not horrific, when playing Seattle.

Wentz ain't it.  I've seen enough.  Still making the same rookie mental mistakes in year 5.  Dude always pisses himself when things aren't going perfectly.  Still has inconsistent mechanics and becomes wildly inaccurate for multiple quarters at a time.

Unfortunately we're stuck with him for at least 2 years (likely 3 years) after handing him that massive contract.

We're going nowhere with this guy and we can't even trade him.  That means we're completely screwed.

Yeah well that’s assuming Doug actually runs the ball

Clement was responsible for at least 3 sacks today. He slipped on one, picked up the wrong guy on another and got steamrolled on a third. Holyfield needs to replace him on the roster.

Herbig and Driscoll starting over Pryor and Mailata was a bad mistake. We didn't get any benefit in pass protection and it killed our run game.

Hightower getting a lot of snaps/targets was a mistake.

Tough to win when you are putting the wrong guys on the field.

Even then people were in here defending him. Today the OL was as bad as I’ve ever seen and it still was plainly obvious that Wentz was as big of a problem.

Corey Clement, at 25, is toast.  He can't move.  Forcing Boston Scott as a 3-down back turned one problem into 2, as it wore him down and rendered him completely ineffective in the screen game and in space.

Sure, the OL did no one any favors, but they don't have a real RB on the roster as Sanders insurance.  It doesn't have to be Jordan Howard...but he, or someone, anyone else would have been very useful today.

Our RBs has 16 carries for 55 yards. We gave Doug zero reason to run the ball.

If it gets bad they can go to Hurts and Wentz will be gone by the time you have to pay him.

I think Wentz will be fine though.

I don’t think the wrong guys were on the field. Holyfield has done nothing to prove he should be on an nfl roster.

Also who should get targets over Hightower? JJAW? Desean is basically the new Peters taking himself out due to injury 4 times a game

I wouldn’t try to draw any conclusions about the RBs today. The OL was pathetic.

Technically they dont count as turnovers.  It was 3-0.  But I see what you're saying.

You can’t go away from the run though... Especially when you’re going against an exceptional pass rush.

Sorry guys but it mite be time to admit that dak is better than wentz...I just can’t defend wentz anymore after today, it’s year 5 and he still holds the hall too long and can’t make easy throws, wentz can’t still make jaw dropping plays but he’s just too inconsistent and it kills this team

Only run I remember being even remotely effective was a draw on third and long lol

Well I think it's obvious what position Eagles will draft in the 1st rd
