I wouldn’t try to draw any conclusions about the RBs today. The OL was pathetic.

Driscoll and Herbig couldn't get any push at all. Starting them was a terrible mistake.

Our RBs has 16 carries for 55 yards. We gave Doug zero reason to run the ball.

Today wasn't a good day to run the ball unfortunately.

Like it's been stated a million times today, their D-line dominated our O-line.

Corey Clement, at 25, is toast.  He can't move.  Forcing Boston Scott as a 3-down role turned one problem into 2, as it wore him down and rendered him completely ineffective in the screen game and in space.

Sure, the OL did no one any favors, but they don't have a real RB on the roster as Sanders insurance.  It doesn't have to be Jordan Howard...but he, or someone, anyone else would have been very useful today.

They were very effective in the running game at the end of last season without Howard.  I doubt Howard would have stayed just to be Sanders insurance.

You (collective you) realize that these roster flaws also exist when we win.  They just don't seem to matter when the parts of the team that are supposed to work well work well.

We fielded the worst OL that we have in decades and our QB couldn't figure out how to play behind it.

The backup RB wasn't the issue.

Sorry guys but it mite be time to admit that dak is better than wentz...I just can’t defend wentz anymore after today, it’s year 5 and he still holds the hall too long and can’t make easy throws, wentz can’t still make jaw dropping plays but he’s just too inconsistent and it kills this team

Nah. Dallas actually puts Dak in position to succeed.

Oh, I can think of reasons when your protections make me recall mine cave-ins..........

You can’t go away from the run though... Especially when you’re going against an exceptional pass rush.

I have no problem going away from the run. We couldn’t block anyone except on a give up draw on third and 20.

The issue was not max protecting more and getting more rollouts for Wentz.

Trevor Lawrence?

Except for the three sacks that were his fault.

It doesnt seem Wentz will ever be an elite, top 5 type QB.  We all have to realize that.  But he is still a very good QB who has flaws and will have bad games sometimes.

Completely disagree. There is many reasons you run even if your not gaining massive yards.

1- Clock control

2- Allows the play action to be effective which will open up routes(Our "new" system according to Doug is based off 49ers playaction, well 49ers run the ball)

3- Makes the defense not just pass rush and get a clean shot at the QB(Qb protection)

4- Helps your oline as its easier to run block then pass block(also wears down a Dline more)

Almost 3.5 ypc is zero reason to run the ball??

Considering a 17 pt lead, and a battered OL?  Disagree

TBF, running was all that was working to get us down for the field in the 2nd half for the missed Jake FG.

Never ran it again after that for the next couple of possessions until one run to Scott near the end.

They were at 8 YPC on that drive.

That and it's safe to say that Dak makes better decisions with the ball.

Thanks for not posting play by play of the game while I was gone. You guys are the best!

Clement being toast was available information before today, although now reinforced.  Boston Scott being a fixture as a wild-card/3rd down back and never to be used as the backup primary RB is something I am going to take from today, regardless of how pathetic the OL may have been.

Between Sanders missing all of camp and the coaches on the inside working with these guys constantly, they should have known to have another option at RB.

And this is coming from someone who hates investing in the position.

You don’t need to establish the run to have a successful play action game.

Misleading.  We got 1/3rd of our yards on one 3rd and long give up draw that didn't even get the first down.  Our running game was totally stymied.

Technically they dont count as turnovers.  It was 3-0.  But I see what you're saying.

It’s literally referenced as a turnover on downs
