Yup. Another way to spin it is he received $1,084.375.00 for every game he was listed as O on the injury report.

Money well spent.

I would have done it for 500k a game.

we're fine there

Lurie and Roseman have provided a perfect pension top up for Desan haven't they? Idiots.

Speaking of idiotss. Even Nick Foles must laugh at how sour Tom Brady is towards him.  You can take the man out of NE, but you can't take the Belichick out of the man

Is Desean being out a surprise? When the eagles signed him, I asked why would you sign another injury prone wr when you already have AJ?

What makes it even more pathetic is that they had opportunities to bring in other younger speed wide receivers who are making less money than desean and stay relatively healthy compared to the desean. And yet they still decided to go with the him knowing he’s an injury liability week to week. John brown was available in consecutive offseason and relatively cheap the first time. Robby Anderson was available. Williams was available (he’s also hurt now but productive first season for Oakland and an easy contract to get out of unlike desean). There’s always a reason why a team is willing to just give a player away then you might ask yourself why.

It's really upsetting how we missed out on Anderson

at this point i would be happy if they just released both guys and moved on and let the younger more hungry WR's play . it's not like they are helping , eat the cost and admit failure already.

And it wasn’t just once. They could’ve dealt for Anderson instead of tate. Chose tate. Could’ve traded again for Anderson the following year and didn’t. Then he was a free agent and they decided not to pursue due to sunk cost at WR even those he got below what people thought he’d get on the market.

I loved McNabb until this happened.  It was all down here from there.

It was downhill before this.  This was his last ever game as an Eagle.

Yup demps and dawk were really atrocious. Yet they came all the way back to lose it cause gocong couldn’t tackle Hightower. What’s funny about that game I was there and I texted my friend  back in Philly at halftime saying the Eagles gonna make a come back to only blow it at the end in typical eagles fashion.

Blind old zebras robbed us with the no-call when there was blatant pass interference against Kevin Curtis on 4th and 10 with the Eagles driving for the tying TD.  Although if I remember correctly McNabb missed two "layups" on that same series that would have gone for big yards prior to 4th down, so he or the team probably would have blown it later.

Yeah that Curtis one was a miss but really the eagles still had to score the touchdown and like you said he had missed on previous throws on the drive where they were not hard completions. They lost that game in the first half not showing up and then again when gocong had Hightower for a loss and failed to make the tackle.

It's too bad because we matched up well with Pittsburgh and dominated them earlier that season.  Would have had a good chance to beat them in that Super Bowl.

To me that was as crushing of a loss cause it was an end of an era for 3 great eagles in Runyan, Thomas, and dawk. I thought if they won that game they’d have beaten the Steelers. Only loss that was worse was the bucs. The cards one was much harder than the Carolina one. That game we were banged up.

James Jones picked the eagles to win

Who leads the Eagles in receiving yards this week?  If Ertz has any pride he will catch everything in his time zone this Sunday.  Nine yards receiving was just embarrassing, and he should be getting a taste of the criticism Wentz has been getting.  Other than the Bengals game he’s looked disinterested.

was it really? My timeline with the downfall of DMac is all out of whack.

You would think if they were planning to pick a tackle in the first round they would have invited Dillard for a visit.  I think they were targeting DT in that draft and when Wilkins was drafted shifted to other positions. I believe at first people thought they might be trading up for Jacobs instead they took Dillard.  I was hoping they would have taken Montez Sweat.

I wanted Sweat round 1 and Metcalf round 2, or Campbell.
