I re-watched the 49ers game yesterday and this morning. Just casual viewing. Wasn't really trying to evaluate anything. One thing stood out to me that feels like it's worth a comment.

On the play in the fourth quarter where Hurts got the ball and was apparently going to throw it back to Wentz across the field...Wentz was moving upfield and Mailata was peeling back for a block, so it was obviously designed that way...wasn't Wentz actually an ineligible receiver? He had taken the snap from center rather than shotgun. A quarterback is only an eligible receiver on plays where takes a shotgun snap. Or if he's not lined up under center, as in the Philly Special. But if you take the direct snap, you can't catch a pass.

So how is that the Eagles designed a play that would have been penalized if it had worked? HTF can that happen? At least Hurts turned it in a somewhat positive gain.

It wasn't designed to be a pass to Wentz. The announcers were wrong.

Yeah, maybe it was then. Unless they're faking the throwback. What a weird play.

From Wiki...

In the National Football League (NFL), a quarterback who takes his stance behind center as a T-formation quarterback is not eligible unless, before the ball is snapped, he legally moves to a position at least one yard behind the line of scrimmage or on the end of the line, and is stationary in that position for at least one second before the snap, but is nonetheless not counted toward the seven men required on the line of scrimmage.

Wentz is not running hard to make the turn upfield...looks like it was meant to be what it was, Hurts to the outside.

What are the odds Eagles walk out with a W?

So Grayland Arnold is on the 53 as an "actual" signee correct?  He isn't called up from the PS so if he gets cut now he has to go through waivers.  That's how this works right?

What a goal line stand by Mizzou. 😯

LSU and Florida go down.  Love upsets in CFB.

Seen that.  1st and goal at the 1 and LSU couldnt score.

The Eagles would need to be more productive and efficient on offense than we’ve seen so far this season.  PIT is good on all three levels on defense, and efficient but unspectacular on offense.

The Steelers only beat the Giants by 10 points; doubt they would beat the Eagles by more than 7-10 unless the Eagles play very poorly on both sides of the ball.

I didnt realize North Carolina was in the top 10.

Texas-Oklahoma bout to go OT.  Love it!!!

Man the Red River Rivalry has turned into a heck of a game.  Gus Johnson always helps add excitement.

Sam Howell is a really good quarterback.  I would love to see him here in a few years.

Chazz Surratt was their old quarterback and has turned into a top level linebacker.

I've always loved watching UNC.  Started back with Ronald Curry, Dre Bly and Julius Peppers.
