Wentz can be the guy for next 10 years. They just need to get back to the 2017 version of this offense and not try to be the Chiefs.

It's not that easy.  Our 2017 team, through a huge amount of luck, was the best team we've had in at least 15 years and more likely 50+ years.

So you'll be waiting a long time.

Our LBers outside of Riley sucked.

Riley was lost all day and watched the TE waltz by him for a touchdown.

Howie has all the ammo he needs to tell Ertz to STFU and play out his contract.  I'd be shocked if they pay him now.

Goedert will get an extension and Ertz wil be traded in the offseason. Goedert is a way better blocker and better yac then Ertz. He's got speed too

2017 he had an Oline and a HC with OC that called good plays

What about Ertz?

Not necessarily.  Where did the turnovers occur?

If the line blows an assignment, which is likely at that point, its a loss of 2-3 instead of 8 & a fumble.  Risk/reward considering youre up double digits, its a no brainer to be more balanced

But hey proof is in the pudding, we blew it and Wentz got killed and played poorly

Lol, so because we didn’t fumble on running plays that’s some sort of vote of confidence in the run game?

Would 5 more carries for 16 yards have made you feel better?

Ive decided Im not going to watch. While at work, I heard that they lost.

When I told my dad I heard that, he told me how they were up 17-0 and lost.

I came home and watched big brother while checking the box score, and reading some of the post-game discussion in here.

Not sure theres much I need to see.

I saw how many sacks, and hits we had on the washington football QB and was very happy to do that with no DEs other than Sweat. A sack and 2 hits for him. Barnett should never start another game at DE. Sweat equalled him last year, and has now clearly surpassed him.

But then I saw how many sacks and hits they got on Wentz. I saw his turnovers in the box score and then I understood how we lost.

OL couldnt run block, and predictably couldnt protect Wentz. Wentz showed his usual propensity to cough up the ball when defenders are around him.

The defense only allowed like 240 total yards. McLaurin seems to be kept pretty much in check. What a difference having Slay.

Gerry in double digit tackles. and 2 TFLs so it wasnt all him just chasing guys for downfield tackles. Maybe he really is becoming a player!

Reagor with a big play. Good to see.

Malik Jackson productive. Great to see.

We just saved a bunch of money by switching to Goedert.

Theres a bunch that I am encouraged by.

Issues- I mentioned before when they signed Huntley.... Clement, Scott, and Huntley are 3 scat back receiving back types. Theres no one on the depth chart that you can be comfortable with starting for Sanders. We are obsessed to a fault with trying to find another Sproles rather than finding the best group of RBs. It already bit us on week 1. Any RB contribution might be negated a bunch by the OL today but, it has to help to have a capable backup.

We have enough money to sign Cordy Glen, and Freeman and I think we need to do that first thing in the morning. Glenn at LT, Peters to RG should help a ton. Or of Glenn can play RG. Either or...

Already mentioned the Wentz turnovers.

I am hopeful that just being week 1 with a weird, shortened pre-season/camp attributes to a lot of the turmoil and the kinks will be worked out as we move on.

If Wentz is not hurt, I dont expect him to keep playing like this. The OL even without the addition of Glenn should continue to gel. Its one thing to throw Driscoll in to the fire week 1, but that was also against a line with Kerrigan, Sweat, Young... thats just a tough team to start your career against. But if we DO add Glenn, I think things should get a whole lot better there.

And add Sanders...

Im still pretty confident in this team moving forward.

Goedert sure looked like the elite TE going forward today

He looked fantastic today. Ran hard after the catch and tracked the deep ball beautifully. Not a good look for Ertz and his future here.

I don't watch college ball. Is Trevor Lawrence the new hype?

He’s legit

Carson Wentz ain't Brett Favre bro.  Sorry but no.

Besides Mr. Gunslinger himself only won 1 SB, so Wentz has already met that quota.

They have plenty of similarities bro.

Crazy how everyone turned against Wentz so quick. Yes, he sucked today, but his coach and GM are doing him dirty

What was the point in bringing all those offensive guys in this offseason if Doug isn’t gonna listen to them? The offense looked exactly the same as last year, stale and predictable, no bootlegs or roll outs or creativeness at all, Doug should 100% be on the hot seat

Thank God. I was seriously worried we were going to hear tomorrow that he's day to day or week to week with some general area injury

Ertz needs to go along with other veterans we overpaid for sentimental reasons like Graham and Peters.

We're long overdue to clean house.

Yes and a power run game to open things up/lean on.

Bad O line.

No commitment to the run.

Ginger Spazzbot holds onto the ball too long, takes unnecessary hits and accuracy issues.

WR- Meh.  JJAW was a ghost.  Jackson got dinged up.  Nice catch by Reagor, then nothing.

DE is a major issue.

So glad we wasted a 2nd rounder on a project QB.

this exactly

I semi defended Ertz earlier today but he really needs to stfu about his contract. He’s the 7th highest paid TE but it’s because Tampa decided to give a stupid contract to Gronk and Hunter Henry is franchise tagged. So stop whining that Rudolph and Hooper are making slightly more

Carson Wentz has been mediocre since the 2018 season.  Perhaps you haven't been paying attention.

I don't see Cox going anywhere. Ertz is the obvious

Now you get to wait a whole extra week before you actually hear that.

Djax had to take himself out 4 or 5 times today

Yup. No idea why they didn't get another. They should have added some bruiser to compliment Sanders. Not sure if it'd help with this game since the Oline was trash anyway but it'd help later

Mediocre is a stretch. Put him on the Ravens with that run game, he wins the MVP last season. I don’t think Lamar Jackson would have led this team to the playoffs.
