Longest FG in Heinz field history 53 yards. Of course Doug goes for FG. This guy has no Football intelligence at all. No clue with situational football.

Claypool won't score 4 TDs the rest of the year I bet

He looks pretty awesome, and that was even before this week.

The Steelers just know how to draft them.

That's what you say, but your posts clearly say otherwise.  The proof is in the pudding.  You disappear when he's doing well. But the minute he does something bad, you're here to pounce and cry about it for 3 pages.

You hate Wentz, it's obvious.  Don't be a coward about it.  Own up to it.  That at least is more respectable.

The refs really killed the Eagles today, they probably win with fair reffing. They played well. I'll call it a "virtual win."

Why wasn't Slay in the game on the last series? You know, I've been starting to believe that with all the injuries we've had the last few years, infinitesimal probability the Eagles could have that many injuries that many years in a row... maybe players just have gotten softer and are sitting out games players in previous generations would normally play. I saw the play where Slay got hurt. It wasn't that bad. Get your a** back in the game, bro. FFS.

Not that it would've mattered on that TD.

Got hurt. So if you think our defense is bad now....

Average.

Jim Schwartz is the main reason we lost but Wentz throwing dirt balls for half the game didn't help either.  But overall, it was an "ok" performance from Wentz.  Didn't cost us the game but didn't win it either.

Fulgham was a pleasant surprise and Doug needs to get to work....time to design this offense around Fulgham as the #1 receiver.

I bet he will. I was banging the drum for him all offseason before draft. He’s gonna be a star

This loss is on Schwartz and the D

The O did pretty well vs a D that was ranked in the top 5/top 10 of a lot of categories.  Again, other than that 1 long TD run by Sanders there was pretty much no ground game, Lane went out so Kelce is the only starter along the OL, even though Fulgham had a coming out party today the rest of the WRs didn't do much and that includes Ertz who looks a step slow this season.

The D allowed too many easy conversions on 3rd & short and failed to keep momentum after the O scored.  And that last TD is pretty much unforgivable and totally on Gym Shortz.  FFS, Vilma called that out a few seconds before the snap that Claypool was in the slot matched up on a LB, and not just any LB, but the worst cover LB on the team and possibly the NFL.  They had better not renew Shortz's contract after the season.  Let him go.  It's time to bring in a new DC.  This game shows that too often he just gets out-coached and any really good OC can exploit his scheme.

He's become a jackarse. Sad to see.

All in all a decent performance. Mailata was solid with the exception of one play and we have a WR. The worst part was the inability of the D to get off the field.

Yep, total lack of awareness by both coordinators cost us the game

3rd and 5 and they draw up a ho-hum 5 yard route and go for a low percentage FG that still gives the Steelers all day to get into FG range

And Schwartz with Gerry 1 on 1 with Claypool is an all time bonehead call

Ill advised decision to kick the 57 yard FG cost us.  Even if we hit it likely still would have lost.  Going for it and trying to continue the drive to kill the clock was the move there.

I think I’m in the minority but I still liked the call. There’s no guarantee that we could convert on 4th and if they didn’t, we would have given up on a chance to take the lead. I think we go for the FG 9 times out of 10 in that position.

I seriously question Doug’s football IQ. Couple that with the Bengal’s game. Ooof. Made no sense.

😂A coward about it?  I like Wentz and want him to succeed.  I've been here all day.

I cry about it because my football team has a bad QB.  Thats a problem.

Good: Fulgham

Bad: Defense

Ugly: Schwartz

Yep.  I liked Claypool a lot.   Had him in about 50% of my mocks.

Yep. I’ll say this about Wentz today he wasn’t the reason they lost but nowhere good enough to win this game. That’s why I say he was average.

Especially after Slay went down

Time to tear it all down. This core will not compete for a Super Bowl anytime soon. Ertz and Cox traded at the deadline for picks. Hell anybody with trade value that won't be here on their next contract. Start scouting Fing LBers coming out in 2021 Draft. Get a competent CB to play alongside Slay.

In a dome or in LA or something, then maybe.  Not at Heinz.  It was a very low percentage call

Doug just doesn’t get it. I am 100 percent convinced Frank Reich was the reason we were successful In 2017.

Indeed.  I remember you and I having this conversation after they drafted Claypool.  "Watch him become a stud"  lol
