Other than getting absolutely smoked by Bud Dupree on the last, desperation drive when the Steelers knew the Eagles were going to pass I think Mailata played as well as expected. Let's also remember that outside of Kelce the rest of the line were backups too.  I'm very encouraged that he not only can be the LT this year but he should be have the upper hand going in to next year.  It's only 2 games but he's a player.

This season is far from over given the NFC East but I'm all about development now.  Mailata, Fulgham (wow), Reagor, Wallace, Driscoll, Herbig, Bradley heck throw Taylor out there.  Let's see these young guys play.

Where was Avery today?  How can a guy go from 1 sack and 5 hurries to next to nothing.  Can they not figure out what his role is?

Yup Mailata was shutting down whoever the steelers threw at him until that last drive where steelers could just pin their ears back and get after it and dupree got an incredible jump, Mailata didn't have a chance.

Other than that one play I thought Mailata played well. Losing Lane was tough as well.

Would be nice if he could get healthy,I think he's going to be in and out of the line up all year.

Kelce is the only OL starter to start all 5 game.

Brooks gone, dillard gone, peters gone, seumalo gone, johnson pulling a peters gonna be in and out all year.

Be nice if eagles could get through one game without losing a starter but it is what it is ☹️

Hey Zach, Travis Kelce had 100 yards today. You may want to rethink your negotiating position.

We can’t even trade him at this point. He’s been dreadful.

Missed 16 games the past two years. He’s played 16 games once in his entire career and he’s gone over 500 yards once in his career. People need to quit making Goodwin like he was going to be a huge difference maker. The likelihood is he’s either hurt or not that good. That’s why his career has shown

I like his ceiling. Hypothetically he can be a contributor for sure. But he isn't someone you can rely on for 16 games. Especially not with our track record with injuries the last couple years.

I was so infuriated when he made the Hurts pick. Nothing against Hurts as a person or even player but that was a pick we needed on a different position

Nah he's a future super bowl MVP.

Torrey Smith 2017 helped this team win a Super Bowl.  Like, hello?

He had 400 yards and 2 TDs during the regular season. That would have been Goodwin’s ceiling had he played this season.

In the long run, I think losses are going to be more beneficial as we’re not contenders.

Might not be all that bad after all......

Hurts and Taylor were both terrible picks. This team needs young talent ASAP and they took two complete projects round(s) early.

I think I'm in the minority, but I don't have any problem with the decision to kick.

I was ok with the kick. It's not like he was short and it was out of his range. It was a little to the right IIRC

TD Cowboys on the scoop and score.

He’s a fine addition if you added other players who are capable of being reliable in starters. The Eagles didn’t do that. They went with a whole group of unreliable wide receivers. Literally DeSean, Goodwin and jeffery are unreliable. And proven such. Meanwhile they compounded it with relying on rookies To just be major Contributors.

I wouldn’t go that far with Mailata. He got walked back a lot.

Jimmy G just got picked off. Those vaunted 49ers we struggled to beat last week are losing 27-7.

To the Dolphins.

edit: make that 30-7

First they didn’t sign and they traded for him. In the draft they move back. I didn’t say I love or hated the fact that they did that. I said it was a stupid plan if that was your big veteran wr you brought in like he was going to change your wide receiving corps. He was not. He’s not Thay. good. Look at the stats over this career. you’re gonna tell me that’s the guy you want to put your eggs in your basket with Is the guy who had a career year on 2017 and the rest of the time he’s either hurt or not very productive. That was your great plan? That seems a little idiotic to think goodwin was a sufficient upgrade because most of his career he is hurt or unproductive. Let’s just ignore the fact that his stats and his injury plagued years And go straight to 2017. But let’s just ignore the other six years of his career that’s shown he’s not good enough to be a starting wr

Bruh, no one expected Goodwin to be "the veteran WR signing".  He literally was brought in to compete for the 3rd/4th WR spot.

Yeah, myself included. But I’m not going to convince myself that we were a Robby Anderson away from being a good team

Oh for sure we definitely aren’t. However it would’ve been a much better plan then the let’s rely on three injury prone wide receivers in desean, jeffery and Goodwin and rookies heading into the season. That was a bad plan from the time they thought of it

i still think he has trade value , most teams will think we suck , which we do but they will still see a all pro TE in him

Mailata might be better than Andrew Thomas.

He didn’t go out of bounds under his own will.

He looked to be headed out of bounds, just the defender gave him a push out before he had the chance to run out.  Splitting a hair there, but that's the NFL.

Great what good is the third or fourth wide receiver spot if you don’t have a one or two wide receiver spot. That was the issue. Which goes back again the plan of relying on DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery was stupid. And only adding goodwin and rookies wasn’t sufficient Answer to the problem you had. Hence why people wanted Robby Anderson.

Overall, he had a solid game. He got walked back on the 1st play of the game, but didn't give up a pressure and gave up a sack against Dupree down 9 when we were in obvious pass mode. Dupree got an incredible jump off the snap.

Matt Pryor on the other hand is playing awful. Seumalo can't come back fast enough.

Bringing Jackson back was a mistake. Giving Alshon that emotional contract was a mistake

Agreed. It was a hometown call.

Went to the game today, obviously other than losing the game is was an enjoyable experience, felt way more personal with the small crowd, I was right behind the eagles bench and I had multiple players acknowledge me, as for the game...this team can never just get it all together, offense played good enough against a legit defense and the defense (Schwartz) absolutely blow, this team is where it is the last few years because of coaching
