Dak will still get paid because he's a QB. But this is why you don't kill a player for signing earlier rather than later; you never know what'll happen in the NFL

Damn, that sucks for Dak. Now we’re gonna win 5 games and pick 20th in the draft.

Dalton is no joke either

If the Eagles can put together 6 wins, I think they’re in the playoffs. Maybe even 5.

Dallas will still win the division

That's my guess, their receivers look way too good for our secondary, Dalton is solid if unspectacular and that should be more than enough in the 2020 NFC East.

and we just made the playoffs!

Dalton is good enough to spread it around with those guys on offense.

They’re certainly going to score on us still.

Didn’t Darby dislocate his ankle? that looked something like that

Dis worse. McNabb was able to tape dat up and finish that cardinal game which i was at.

True. However same type of thing happened on the run. I think Dak broke and dislocated his ankle.

Dak being out ends any chance of us being sellers.

Prayers up for Dak

His Achilles is the least of his concern right now IMO. That could be an Alex Smith-like compound fracture...

For those of you who get your panties in a twist every time I criticize Wentz, which I rarely did before today anyway...

If you don’t have a qb good enough to win it all, everything else is irrelevant.  Every single good player on your team may be past their prime by the time you find and develop the right qb.

So that’s where the discussion begins and ends, if your qb isn’t good enough.  Sure, other players may have a bigger hand in the loss.  Sure, you may have ruined your current franchise qb.  But right now...Wentz just hasn’t been good enough.

I've had this discussion ad nauseam in here but it won't get far since Wentz is this team's QB until (at least) the end of the 2021 season.

That said, if Wentz doesn't show dramatic improvement with his mechanics/footwork...accuracy, etc...the team will likely begin to groom Hurts (or maybe someone else) between now and the end of 2021.

Wentz (in his defense) made some really nice throws and plays today.  Had he not had the bad interception and half dozen dirt balls, he would have had a really good game

I don’t believe Darby’s ankle was turned sideways. I could be wrong but i don’t remember it being as bad as that looked.

Yup. We've played Dalton twice before. We got killed both times.

Dallas may actually benefit, in a weird way. Dalton should be okay with those WRs and they may actually run Zeke more.

Could be.  Not the worst I've seen over the years. But even so

He’d also have looked better if Hightower pulls that ball in down the field in the end zone. He had some good throws today that receivers also didn’t pull in. The ertz pick was a bad decision but ertz was also partially responsible. He got hit and gave up on his route. I’m sorry but they need to trade ertz. He clearly doesn’t look like he wants to be here and it’s effecting him.

Dr. Chao said likely fracture and season over, but not Alex Smith bad.

You could probably play just those 2 and bench everyone else and still win.

I have to disagree with this. Dallas D is so bad, they have to throw because they keep getting points scored against and find themselves in huge holes early. Dalton isn’t going to be able to play game manager and rely on a heavy run game with a D as bad theirs. He’s going to have to air it out a lot just to keep up.

Was thinking that McCarthy now hast to rely on Zeke which probably helps their defense because they’ll have to ground it out and play ball control. Which they weren’t doing and it was destroying their defense that already stunk

Dalton isn’t a bad QB though.

I kind a look at it this way if you play time of possession game and you just keep feeding Zeke then you can help your defense immensely. I think McCarthy has to rely on Zeke now whereas before he just kept throwing, throwing and throwing regardless. They got behind a lot of the time in those games because early in the game their passing offense wasn’t very good and they wouldn’t feed Zeke

I’m not saying he’s bad, I’m saying he will have to play well for the team to win. They will have to win because of Dalton and not just win with Dalton
