That's pretty much a worse case scenario for us to have performed that bad on the field yet be drafting in the 20s. I think you’re underestimating that Washington could win this division if Alex Smith can get back to where he was prior to the injury. I don’t think it’s unrealistic for Washington if Alex Smith plays well to win enough games to win this division

That’s something to root for!

Carson missed every throw to him. Yeah I think it was a bad dislocation with ligament damage rather than bone fracture, it certainly wasn't a compound fracture or there'd have been blood everywhere. I mean the blood flow to feet and ankles mean there probably isn't much difference in terms of recovery time between torn ligaments and bone breaks but it looked more like a displaced joint than a broken bone.

October 11, 20204 yr Yeah Wentz overthrew that ball to Hightower. He wasn’t catching it even if he came down with the ball.

And he wasnt going to come down in bounds anyway even if he caught it. It was overthrown. Not overthrown out of his reach. Overthrown out of the field of play. IIRC, it was a nice throw with great placement...really tough catch though and I thought the defender may have gotten a hand in there. Not sure it was a drop.

October 11, 20204 yr I thought Hightower made it look like a tougher catch than it was. Not easy, but very catchable for an NFL WR.

Not sure it was a drop. He had his hands where the ball wasnt falling. It went through the crease of his arm. Complete misjudgement of hand placement to catch it. But the field was too short for where Carson put it. It was well out the back of the end zone. He jumped for it and didnt even come down in bounds. And I could tell while he was running and the ball was coming that he was running out of room. And he did. I think in all the disbelief of how bad that ball went through his arm people didnt pay attention to the field to notice he ran out of real estate which means the ball was overthrown.

It felt like the Agholor play from the New England game last season. Not an easy catch to come down with, but if tracked properly, an efficient WR comes down with it.

Also, a rookie WR who doesn't bend that route to the far corner to give Wentz more room in front of him in which to place it. Rewound that play a couple times and it just felt forced, like the offensive scheme this year. Too many chefs.
October 11, 20204 yr Can’t wait for the "Dallas should sign Kaepernick” takes, if they didn’t start already

I saw about 10-15 catches better than that watching college football. Every NFL game there are catches tougher than that. Somehow Fulgham looks legit but the Eagles are the absolute worst at evaluating WR talent.
