With Wentz's continued improvement, and getting goedert and some WRs back I really think this team will end up in shoot outs with some good teams later on.

Our D might not let us win many of them. But I think we will be holding our own with a bunch of good teams on our schedule.

I don’t know why people thought the defense was going to be good this year though. The defensive line is really good but if you neutralize them then the rest of the defense is not very good besides slay and McLeod. The back seven besides those two are awful right now.  Like you can have a very good to even great defensive line but if they don’t bring it every single week then you are going to see big issues because your back seven has two starters and five other guys that really are back ups in this league or just not very good starters

Wentz’s extra muscle this season has him bouncing off tacklers.  I’d trust Wentz far more than Clement

I was talking about the Hawks/Vikings game lol

A few observations from today’s game and reading the last 10 pages or so:

— There should be players telling Schwartz to get Gerry off the field if he can’t see it himself.  It’s like watching Pros vs Joes, and Gerry is not the Pro

— Too many guys on D who just can’t play.  The Eagles get pretty good contributions out of their DL although the pass rush needed to be better today, Slay is very good, McLeod is good, Epps is okay for the most part.  Other than that it’s not pretty.  Mills is still pretty bad even at weak side CB.

— Officiating was very bad today.  Both of the calls against Slay were actually OPI, Brandon Graham got a phantom PF penalty.  Claypool was robbed of a big play when James fell over his own feet, but then Gerry came along and made it all better for him.

— It’s awesome to see that the Eagles have found a weapon in Fulgham, keep feeding him.  Wentz has said the two had almost instant chemistry

— Those who are complaining about Hightower need to shut up, with gusto.  The guy is a #168 overall pick in his 5th career game and he’s a viable target out there.  He’ll never be an Antonio Brown producer but he will be a good player.

— Another day, another game where Zach Ertz clearly doesn’t give a damn out there.  Richard Rodgers is playing better than Ertz — no, I’m not kidding.

I would add to this that the Eagles have been giving a big plays for the better part of the last four weeks. They’ve given up 10 plays of 25 yards or more over the last four weeks. They have given up plays of 30 yards or more 6 times in the last four weeks. They’ve given up in three of the four games plays of 35 yards or more.

Additionally the red zone defense has been atrocious this year. They’ve given up 14 touchdowns in 19 Redzone trips. one of the stops Washington handedit to them when they were up 10 points of a minute left and just decided to try to run the clock out

add on teams are using misdirection against the Eagles because they’re being overly aggressive. Last two weeks you’ve had runs of 38 yards and 58 hours because of that. That also doesn’t include the Rams game where they used it frequently

Russell freaking Wilson

well at least the vikings are going to lose

I see on the highlights where Jason Garrett went over to check on Dak on the field — good for him.  "The Clapper" actually seems to be a pretty good guy.

Wilson is incredible.

#3 on the seattle seahawks is the best player in the NFL

Anyone who continues to defend Howie at this point is a contrarian who's not to be taken seriously. That's how bad it gets every week. He's Fing terrible. Metcalf is the best damn WR in the freaking league. And we took the worst WR in NFL history instead.

F this dude. Fire his a**.

If he doesn’t win MVP this year it’s a crime. He’s playing out of his mind. And he’s been clutch

not sure i agree that was a fumble but it wouldn't have mattered anyway

Who's more a fool? Zimmer going for it instead of kicking fg to go up 8 or howie drafting jjaw instead of dk?

Fulgham is for real, now that doesn't mean he's a #1, Wentz should have looked elsewhere when he saw Haden on him.

But he's certainly shown enough for serious consideration as the #2, size, good routes, very good hands and body control.

And Ward is a solid slot receiver.

Just need to get Reagor healthy.

Yea, we’ve got the wr corps right where we want it.  Just get Reagor healthy and Reagor/Fulgham/Ward will lead us to the promised land.

Honestly, absolute best case scenario for JJAW seems to be what Fulgham is doing now. That seems almost impossible now. Why keep him? When Alshon and DeSean get back, that's SEVEN WRs.

Zimmer made the right call given how they were pounding the ball at will. I won’t fault him for trying to end the game.

Just another Sunday that we are reminded how howie absolutely failed his qb and the fanbase by taking jjaw over metcalf.

It’s very likely he took all the mirrors in his house down because I seriously do not know how he is able to still look himself in the mirror after this

Howie basically took Alex Caruso over Lebron James and he still has a job. I put the wrong sandwich in the wrong customers bag at the drive thru when I was 17 and I was fired.

The Eagles need to hold Howie accountable.

He wasn’t passed over because of talent concerns. He lost his season to a neck injury that a lot of teams red flagged him on. That’s not on howie it’s on team medical.  If he takes him in 1 and he plays six games and can never play again because of the neck the story is Howie’s incompetence in taking the injury risk. Seahawks took the risk and so far it’s paying off. Kids a stud but that was never the question.

howie bears a ton of responsibility for the roster but the metcalf pass is on the medical staff.

What?  Best case for JJ would be what Ward is doing.  And even that is a stretch.   Fulgham just went for 10/150/1TD against a real, pro, NFL D.  That is a season for JJ, provided the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th WRs are all on IR .

Having a bourbon nightcap and coughed while sipping so it came out my nose. How’s everyone else’s Sunday night?

So why did they take Sidney Jones if they are so concerned with medical issues? How is metcalf playing 6 games and never again any different than what JJAW currently offers ?

I don't care if he had a severed head and they had to reattach it like Frankenstein. There's no excuse to pass on this:

Realistically the Eagles should just platoon Fulgham/Jeffery, and do the same with Reagor/Jackson.  Most fans don’t believe Alshon and DeSean will stay healthy once they return anyway.  Also rotate Reagor into the slot with Ward, so Reagor is on the field for most of the snaps.  Hightower would become a depth WR for the rest of this season, and JJAW would likely become inactive.

The other scenario is simply PS Jeffery at this point unless there are injuries to the young guys.
