Realistically the Eagles should just platoon Fulgham/Jeffery, and do the same with Reagor/Jackson.  Most fans don’t believe Alshon and DeSean will stay healthy once they return anyway.  Also rotate Reagor into the slot with Ward, so Reagor is on the field for most of the snaps.  Hightower would become a depth WR for the rest of this season, and JJAW would likely become inactive.

The other scenario is simply PS Jeffery at this point unless there are injuries to the young guys.

They would have to cut Jeffery and take on all that dead cap to PS him. Don’t see it happening.

Also an interesting note. Zangaro said Hightower slowed down on that deep shot he had to lay out for. Interesting to see the tape on that play. I’m not ready to write him off but he seems to be making some mental errors for someone that was being praised for his football intelligence.

If JJAW was a 4th rounder he'd have already been cut, there's no doubt. The only reason he's still on the roster is because Howie's ego can't take the L on it. Burnett is a better player and deserves a roster spot over him. Everyone does.

And I swear to Fing god if they play Alshon over Fulgham when he returns just because they want to try and showcase him to trade him.

What?  Best case for JJ would be what Ward is doing.  And even that is a stretch.   Fulgham just went for 10/150/1TD against a real, pro, NFL D.  That is a season for JJ, provided the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th WRs are all on IR .

Yeah man I think we're saying the same thing -- a good JJAW's never gonna be a thing.

Howie basically took Alex Caruso over Lebron James and he still has a job. I put the wrong sandwich in the wrong customers bag at the drive thru when I was 17 and I was fired.

The Eagles need to hold Howie accountable.

LeBron James? Lol.

One last thought before I go to bed:

Doug sucks.

Questionable decisions throughout the game.   Clearly out-coached.  How can the HC see Claypool on Gerry, who can't cover wounded offensive linemen, and not immediately call a timeout?  As soon as Pitt called the audible and found the mismatch gotta immediately call a timeout.  Fundamental, easy decision.

I didn’t see it that way at all.  Hightower blew past Steelers DB #22 and I didn’t notice him slow up.  He doesn’t have the innate chemistry Fulgham seems to have with Wentz, but he’ll be fine.

I think he meant like the Reagor play week 1, he had separation but slowed down because he thought the pass wasn’t coming to him and then had to go back to full speed when he realized it was. I don’t think you will see it without the coaches tape.

JJAW and Andre Dillard are gonna have PTSD by the time they get out of Philly

We took fultz and we could have Tatum

Lol ok this is good.

At least Mailata looks good. Might be Howie's best pick if you factor in where he was taken. Dude looks legit. I mean, he's this good and he's literally only started 2 football games in his life. Think about that. I think he has elite OT potential. He has the size, raw power, and athleticism. The latter 2 I think Dillard lacks. Dillard is built like the pillsbury dough boy. Mailata is pretty chiseled, but as much as an OL can be considering they need to put on weight.

He got turnstyled by Dupree on the last drive.  Little early to call him legit yet.

His situational coaching is extremely questionable. Abandoning the run in the WAS game, punting in the Cinci game, and opting to try a 57 yarder in a stadium that is not conducive to kickers over trying for a 4th and 5. I'm sure if you ran some sort of statistical model, the odds of going for it were more favorable than kicking. That would have been the longest FG in Heinz Field history. The game felt lost after that and it was.

Dupree who's an excellent pass rusher got off the line super fast on one play when Mailata held his own against arguably the NFL's best pass rush for the entire game in his second start of football in his life.

I think that's not only brag worthy, that's pretty Fing incredible tbh. He was tremendous in that game.

I get a warm feeling in my heart when I think of LV using Agholor — because it means he’ll never, ever come back to the Eagles.

Looks like the Niners are just about toast for this season

So why did they take Sidney Jones if they are so concerned with medical issues? How is metcalf playing 6 games and never again any different than what JJAW currently offers ?

Try reading it again and maybe you’ll get more of it.

all injuries are the same now?

where did I say JJaW was giving us anything?

stop creating absurd straw men and read what I actually said maybe you’ll learn something.

Every team passed on that. Nowhere did I say that JJaW was good or a good pick.
