Yeah.  Once you replace ward with someone good.

Sanders looked great on 1 run.  He had 10 carries for 6 yard the rest of the game.  Not sure how much of that is the line but not a very good stat line.

It's all the line.  #1 run D, against our 3rd LT, 2nd LG, 2nd RG and at times 2nd RT.

There isn't, but we ended up relying on low draft picks UDFAs and have little vet depth.  It's one of a number of areas where we've been forced to patchwork the roster due to bad decisions made overall.  We're fortunate that Stoutland is an excellent OL coach

You're not getting any arguement from me that the Eagles drafting has sucked for years. You aren't gonna use a high draft pick on what is probably gonna be a backup lineman. There are plenty of other positions they can screw up through the draft.

Sanders had that run. But hey lets always look for ways to be negative.

Again, if that’s your standard for playing very well, you’ve forgotten what it is to have a good QB.

Nah, you have forgotten that it takes a team to win.

Maybe Barnett can play WR

Maybe. Let’s revisit a couple months from now.

Ward is a very solid 4th WR and a decent 3rd WR, nothing more.

Fulgham has had a nice couple weeks. Flash in the pan? Let’s see what happens when defenses game plan for him.

Reagor is a largely unknown.

Ward is a good slot receiver I think we can now say that.

Not being negative, looking at the game as a whole and being realistic.  I said he had a great run, which he did.  I also asked if it was Miles or the line at fault.  All I'm saying is it wasn't his best day.  The TD was a positive.  10 carries for 6 yards is not.

Maybe better than JJAW can

Yes I agree.  Too early to tell but looks promising.

He was mostly invisible yesterday. Let's just say he is a slot WR.

He's a solid #3/#4 type guy who you can count on to catch the ball.  He's not the problem.

There's not a team in the NFL that has the depth to recover from 4 O line injuries like this one. The Cowpies are down 3 and barely beat the Giants.

Some would better than others, including us. I honestly think we've only fared as well as we have due to Stoutland. With a lesser OL coach, we'd look so much worse. Believe it, because when Stout's gone but Howie's somehow still here, you'll see it.

Got a TD though... A nice TD catch at that.

You mentioned it (I think) but I think he would be a better #3 than Ward. One thing I for sure think is that JJAW needs to be gone if that's what's needed to make room for Travis. Also I'm not sure why a lot of posters suddenly hate Hightower. Did I miss something yesterday?

Hightower had that drop in the end zone the replay showed the ball going right through his hands on an over the shoulder leap, what the replay didn't show is that if he did catch it he was landing out of bounds.

If you ask me it was as usual a late throw by Wentz.

Having said that I thought the hype for hightower coming out of camp was unwarranted.

Posters on here talking about how he was gonna be a bomb catching machine and blah blah blah.

I'll say this, he doesn't look as scared as he was week one.😒

He needs to be better his biggest mistake of the game was catching a 9 yard pass and not going out of bounds then not picking up the first down either when he had chance to do either and did neither forcing eagles to take time out before the half. Critical mistake by a rookie being dumb.

No arguement. IMHO Howie should have no say in takent decisions. Let him count beans. He's pretty good at that.

Thing is, your backup OL today has a good chance of becoming your starter in 3-4 years. Gotta keep that cupboard stocked, especially for cases when that 3-4 years time frame is abbreviated.

Nate Gerry and Rodney McCloud are the only 2 defenders to play every defensive snap.  How the heck is that possible?

Technically that mistake cost us 2 timeouts. The first to stop the clock after that 1st down play. The second after the 3rd and 1 to stop the clock when we had to hand it off to Sanders to pick up the first down (that Hightower should've picked up in the first place). Crucial mistake compounded by the awful effort in the end zone on the deep ball. He's getting way too many snaps for my liking.

Nate Gerry gives Schwartz a little pre match treat... I'll say no more.

Because everyone else in those position groups aren't as good. Which, for LBs, is really saying something.

Slay got hurt the D line rotates I would have thought mills played every snap as well. Maybe Schwartz took him out a few plays to tell him he sucks?

Gerry failing to come in contact with other players lessens the chance of injury I suppose.

Hightower is a 5th rd, Watkins 6th rd, they shouldn't even be playing as rookies, they're developmental projects for WR depth.

Fact is, the rebuild has started, they just didn't announce it, this spring look for contract shedding to begin with a vengeance, but it'll take two years.

Honestly, I have no interest in seeing Djax and Alshon come back for a few plays/games. It does nothing to help this team long term. Continue to play the young guys: Ward, Fulgham, Hightower, Watkins ETC. we need to know if we have something in them by end of year.

Similar with Oline: Mailata, Herbig, Driscoll and Dillard (when healthy)  Let em play, we aren't winning anything this year anyway. Let Lane, Brooks and Seumalu Get healthy before we insert them back into the lineup. Then next year you may have some good options you feel good about.

The defense? Still and utter mess- realize we are limited in DB's but how do you not make some changes to cover Claypool at halftime?
