No one said coaching doesn’t matter. We get WRs on LBs. Ward became a folk hero in here for beating LBs for 9 yard gains. He got Sanders matches up on LBs and Wentz misses him twice for big plays this year. 

I’m not saying Doug is perfect or anything, but the hate is going way too far.

I think Higbee is a good player. Higgins is another who I think is going to turn out to be a really good NFL WR.

They had just scored 15 unanswered.  The entire reason for going for 2 was so that a FG could win it.  And they had a chance at the FG there to go ahead just like they set themselves up for. 

Would been a weird decision not to kick it. That decision was made like 3 possessions prior.

I think what we are seeing is just a quick decline in Ertz's skillset.  A lot of us on here have been making this point since last year that Ertz isn't anywhere near the athlete that Goedert or any of the other top tight ends are.  Ertz is a technician and a route runner.  He appears to be slowing down.  His short choppy steps are now starting to become slow choppy steps.  He isn't a mismatch anymore.  

It's sad to see legacy Eagles play decline.  JP getting abused, Ertz being covered with ease and DJack just not being able to be healthy.  For all the flack we are giving Howie for his horrible drafting and putting them in cap hell, let's give him credit for playing hardball with Ertz.  Now watch them go out and give him a 3-year extension so he can focus on football.

It's on Schwartz lack of awareness, if an offense trots out 5 wr in a formation one needs to not have a defense that has the LB matched up on a WR.

In a dime defense that's 6 DBs and 1 LB to cover 5 receivers yet somehow the most dangerous WR in the game to that point gets matched against LB down the seam while the 6 DBs do what exactly???

Just schematic failure to begin with and worse execution of a defense that was destined to fail before the ball was snapped.

One can say well Ben is smart and checked into the perfect play and in doing so the defense knew exactly what that play was cuz ben told them and they still couldn't stop it. Which also begs the question if ben knew what the defense was then why not audible the defense or better yet disguise to start???

Every week we here reports from players and teams saying the eagles defense is easy to beat because they know exactly what the defense is doing every play as Schwartz does zero to disguise his defense.

Schwartz relies solely on his players beating the offensive players in front of them without giving them any schematic advantages.

Sure it's great to have better talent but a better scheme can make up for better talent and the steelers outschemed the eagles on both sides of the ball and it seems ever since 2017 more and more often doug and Jim are getting out schemed☹️

With the injuries and lack of talent Doug has to.be even better.  Just is what it is.  Carson needs to be better as well.  But Doug has to make up the difference.  As Does Carson.  Honestly, if the both picked up.tje slack even with the obvious issues Eagles could be 3-2.

I get going to bat for your players and I don't expect him to throw Gerry under the bus, but if we can see it surely he can too. I just have to wonder how long it's going to go on for before they just try something else. I mean this guy has played almost 100% of the snaps this year.

WRs that run good routes, get open and catch balls are better than fast WRs that don’t. Main focus of Ward in this offense has been quick, short routes.  I would like to know what RB is getting 7+ yards on handoffs.

Nah -- we won a Super Bowl with Bradham, Hicks and Kendricks at LB.  I have a hard time believing Howie is telling Schwartz that Gerry, Riley, and Edwards are just as good.  Seems to me like it's the other way around.

True.  However I just don’t think mentally he could play in Philadelphia. There’s certain players that can take what the fans and media and everything that goes with playing here. Some players who just can’t. I think he needed a fresh start elsewhere to get his mind right. I still don’t think he’s great but he’s fine if he’s your 3-4th option like he is in Oakland. The pecking order really is Jacobs, Waller, ruggs and then agholor or Renfrow

It's a doug problem because doug keeps putting Ertz in position where he's matched up with a corner because doug still thinks it works. Obviously it doesn't.

Ertz can't beat nickels consistently anymore I. The pass game and in the run game isn't a good enough blocker to force defenses to account for him with a safety or a LB yet Doug keeps trotting him lining him up out wide in critical situations thinking it's a mismatch and it's not.
