So what are the WRs when DeSean and Reagor get back?

Reagor obviously has to play the most out of all of them being a first rounder.

So who plays out of the remaining guys? If Fulgham keeps this up, you can’t bench him, right?

Do you really cut DeSean’s snaps? Despite him being injury prone I think his deep speed is important to open things up in the middle of the field. Can you cut Ward’s snaps?

its gonna be interesting. I think the ideal group for 3 WR sets should be DeSean, Reagor, Fulgham, but that would entail moving Reagor into the slot possibly because Fulgham seems comfortable on the outside.

Fulgham X, Reagor Z, Ward slot. Sprinkle in DeSean and keep him on a pitch count.

Have to limit Jacksons snaps apparently. He's too fragile now

I think it’s not so much his athletic ability, I think he just doesn’t wanna be here anymore. I think he’s allowing the contract situation to mess with how he plays on the field. Feels and looks like trying to play to not get hurt which one you do that you tend not to play very well.

He was offered a very fair deal. I like Ertz but he definitely over valued himself last year.

I wouldn’t discount having desean play out of the slot. I believe his game against Washington last year both of his long touchdowns came out of the slot. I feel like I’d want to see fulgham and reagor on the outside. Move desean around and play him less knowing he’s eventually going to get hurt again. I’m not relying on desean anymore. I want to see what my young guys can do out there with wentz. I give them the spots where they need to learn and grow into those roles.

Djax, Reagor, Fulgham, Ward and hightower for now. Dont overthink it. Djax wont be healthy long.

Bigger question when is Goedert expected back?

and bench Alshon

That's Schwartz.  If he tells Howie that Gerry, Edwards, and Riley stink then it's a lot more likely you see the Eagles draft Patrick Queen or Kenneth Murray at #21, and draft WR in rounds 2 and 4.  Eagles fans were sold a bill of goods all offseason that these guys at LB would surprise people.  That's why I was one of the only people in here promoting Kenneth Murray as the pick at #21.  The Eagles showed some interest to Patrick Queen pre-draft, but not Murray.

You are speculating as we do not know what was said between Schwartz and Roseman.

I don’t disagree with that. But i do think is less him completely falling off a cliff and more he’s worried and thinking about his contract then he just isn’t good enough anymore.

DeSean at Z, Reagor in the slot, Fulgam at X in 11 personnel.
Reagor/Jackson and Fulgam in 12.

Honestly, the biggest upgrade we're going to get is going from Rodgers to Goedert.

Not lately. I can't recall that happening many times at all against PIT.

The Int Ertz was out wide, got bumped off route by a corner half his size.☹️

Blaming about Howie instead of Jim Schwartz, after this specific game, is crazy.

The Steelers were missing their RG/RT and arguably their best WR (Johnson, depending on how you feel about JuJu). We are routinely getting beat on WR end-arounds. Our DL continue to crash on jet sweeps. The only coverage we're comfortable playing is man-coverage, which is a problem when you decide to play Mills at CB#2.

If Jim Schwartz needs pro bowlers to run his scheme, he needs to be fired.

There are many issues. Mills isn’t good enough. The linebackers can’t play man or zone for that matter. It’s tough to cover when you have 3-4 bad players in the back seven.

Zone is designed to confuse a veteran QB. Good luck with that against Big Ben. He’s seen it all. Man coverage forces the skill guys to beat you. Unfortunately they did.

That doesn’t absolve Schwartz of blame. He wants to play man, but we don’t have the LBs for it. We don’t have the second CB for it. Can we play zone? Our LBs have the spatial awareness of a rock.

I don’t think Schwartz is a bad DC, but obviously he’s not good enough to elevate or hide these weak spots either.

Ertz gave up on that. It was clear as day

Fair -- but I think drafting is a hybrid approach between BPA and team needs; the scouting dept gives the BPA board and the coaches tell the GM where the needs are, and how bad they are.

So where do we align Ertz to create a mismatch?

Bench? He will be reinjured or exposed in his first 2 games back. Stick the Fork in him, he is beyond well done, he is burnt

Apparently at the negotiation table...

I thought this was a very interesting decision, and I agreed with it.  Heinz Field is notoriously difficult to kick a long FG in -- I think the most difficult by the numbers, and there has never been anything longer than a 53-yard FG made -- but Elliott had the leg (and Doug got burned for punting earlier this year).

If Elliott makes that kick it would have been a huge boost for the team.  Even missing it, the Eagles aren't in terrible shape if the defense keeps PIT out of the end zone.

....... and then along came Gerry.

Honest question when the hell is will Parks coming back? I feel like yesterday is a perfect example of when you could have just f*** Gerry and went 7 DBs replacing Gerry with Parks and likely at least had a chance at better results.

Anyone have any names they wanna pull out of a hat that the Eagles could trade Ertz for in a player for player swap?

i really think they could trade him by the deadline. Things seem to be souring there.

If Ertz can’t beat nickels or corners with his size, and isn’t a good enough blocker to force teams to use LBs over him, what is Doug supposed to do? Seriously.
