Again, I don’t see where Hightower slows down for one millisecond here.  Not sure what Zangaro was seeing.

Agreed

I wouldn't go that far. Wentz was still an issue. Who he doesn't have to throw to is still an issue. Both are somewhat resolving each other.

It should be noted that Wentz took a beating - 5 sacks and, I believe, 15 additional hits. Makes his performance more remarkable.

I agree with your agreement.

If you need a pick me up on Monday this isn’t it

First play is the Fulgham catch that didn't stop the clock. He's backpedaling towards being out of bounds even though he's facing the LOS. I think they should have stopped the clock.

I was surprised when I saw that number. I remember one brutal sack where he should have thrown it away, and then another at the end of the game. I couldn’t remember the others. I thought the OL held up well at least in pass pro.

me too. It was a great effort

Adam Caplan today:

"Fulgham’s the X, if you’re the coaches you have to do your job and play him. You don’t bench a guy who’s productive just because he’s making less money than another guy. If they play Alshon over him when he gets back, the entire coaching staff deserves to be fired.”

If you want to compare this to the real world, it would be like throwing a community college grad into a management position at your Fortune 500 company and expecting him to grow into the job.

Yup.

Of course, Schwartz could put him in certain sub-packages so he gets used to game-action. That could be 3-10 plays per game. Even entry-level employees get small projects before they expand their role.

Ross Tucker wins Twitter today.

I thought the O-line did better than that as well. Maybe we have become accustomed to a porous line.

This can't be I was told by a poster named Cochise that Wentz insisted that his receivers be wide open on the edges or he wouldn't throw the ball

Middleton is the worst owner in this city. Worse than Harris. He doesn’t care about winning at all. Signing Harper was a PR move to generate interest back in the team. Since then he’s cut off the funds and is not allowing his front office to build a contender. They are already so so so far away from being a contender, and he’s he wants to cut pay roll this year. So for the 10th straight season we will be going into the year knowing before it even starts they have no shot to win anything. Just absolutely despicable. I’m not giving them my time anymore. I’ve seen the last Phillies game I’m going to watch for a long time.

I remember 4 of them. First series, TJ Watt against Pryor. Right before halftime and Hightower not going out of bounds. Knocking them back for the long field goal try, and then Mailata gave up one to Dupree.

In short, while wentz is far from perfect, the Bigger issues are OL and WR. Thats my point. He will be fine with better play from those 2 positions

Remember, he's the worst QB in the NFL.

Rookie or not, you’re taught to get out of bounds here by the time you’re a junior in high school. Infuriating. And he didn’t even get the first down.

I think this is the 3rd play that bothered me the most. Caplan and Mosher keep saying how Hightower has great FBI (football intelligence), but he makes this terrible mistake. First down was there, out of bounds was there, why are you cutting inside to lose yards on the field?

Yes, he's a rookie and a late round one. I wont kill him for this or write him off. He still is showing something to keep playing. Just very disappointing mistake that cost points and potentially the game.

There are many CEOs who dont even have a college degree .

Sadly this will be the case.  Once Alshon and DeSean are healthy, Fulgham, Ward, Hightower and any other young WR will disappear.

What they should do is play Reagor, Fulgham, Ward, Hightower and Watkins and work Alshon and DeSean in for a few snaps here and there.  They dont like it then they can leave.

Whether Wentz should have gone to Sanders or not... There's no excuse for any experienced player to stop their route. You sell every single play just in case.

Completely agree, especially for a vet. Also, this is a penalty and an example of how terrible the refs were.
