In this world, you get your a** kicked every once in a while. It's what you do AFTER you get your a** kicked that matters.

That game tape? Best tool Jeff Stoutland has in his arsenal. Yeah instinct is to foment division and attack. "That's for the Media and salty fans"

Truth is if the Eagles win next week at home. They're fine.

In theory yeah if they win next week they are fine. But I don't see it. Rams aren't a top team but they are better than this team.

Oh I think the Rams are our top competition in the NFC so winning next week is no easy task. I think the Rams are the best team in the NFC.

People waver so much year to year. San Fran went from what 6 wins to 13? Which team are they? Sometimes things just break your way. Rams are every bit as good as San Fran.

If we go 0-2 our season is virtually over, the chances of making the postseason down 0-2 are hilariously minimal through NFL history.

What? Really? I have them below the Saints, Niners, Packers, Seahawks. Our competition in the NFC? This team is nowhere near competing for the #1 seed.

No but it aint good because then we have to win at least 2 of 3 against SF, Pitt & Ravens, and THEN Begin the long climb.... that aint good.

Next week's pretty much a must win at home.

It's an O Line away , and yeah watching them against live NFC East players yesterday TODAY I'd agree with your assessment.

What was with trying to run the quick outs? Lol I understand he had no time to set but our receivers could run right by their corners. It's a crime the Eagles only had that one play to Reagor the entire game.

I think the issue is though... This team just isn't that good. Lane isn't going to come back and fix our OL issues. The defense isn't going to get a ton better (and by the way I don't put the defeat in anyway on them).

So the online can’t get better after playing together, or the new secondary? You could be right but I think it’s fair that it might take a few games. Oline is all about continuity, can’t have that when guys are dropping like flies.

at least the pukes lost and LVE is gone with a broken collarbone

Never underestimate the Patriots effect in a conference, if the Eagles can keep the wheels from falling off and get through this first 6 , they can still be "in it "

Yep, yesterday , would have been a lot worse if Cowboys had gone out and won.

I've been going over the schedule and I don't see anymore than 3-4 wins for this team. CIN, NYGx1, CLE, and maybe the 2nd WAS game. Between our poor performance and lack of talent in key areas, coupled with our inevitable onslaught of injuries, I don't see any other outcome.

My only hope is that in that scenario we get the #1 pick and draft Lawrence to start all over.

I'd still like to know why Lane waited until 3 weeks before the season to have surgery

The season is far from over. Yes, the Eagles sucked yesterday. Worst season opener I can remember. But come on in 2017 this team didn’t look like they were that good until about mid-October. So let’s breathe.

This.

Since my season prediction post got wiped, can I switch it from 7-9 to 6-10

It appears Clement was confused by the blitz.

Overall talent question...

How many players on this entire roster would you NOT trade for a 2nd round pick?

This is complicated. Selling after week 1 is dumb. We could win the next 2 games and be in a good spot moving forward. Gotta let it play out.

We're not starting 0-4.

What if we start 1-3, which is very plausible if not probable.

An OL away? You really believe our team is an OL away? No chance.

DJ/Howie are very close. I thought Ertz would be traded in the off-season, but if things go south, it could be sooner than that.

Took one game to throw Wentz under the bus.

That's some frustrating awareness by the Eagles, aside from the tone-deaf nature of the pick itself.

Now, if Hurts is active next week after Wentz's game this week...it's news and speculation.

If Hurts is inactive next week, it's further news about the WTF nature of the pick and the lack of a plan to integrate him into the offense to outsmart the rest of the NFL.

It's a lose/lose monkey on Wentz' back and Doug's back at this point, not to mention Hurts who is caught up in it.

Yea, good points.

The thing that sucks is that in any other situation we would probably be loving Hurts.  He's seemingly a really good person, ultimate competitor, a winner everywhere he goes and the list goes on.  We just had no need for him in the 2nd round.

It's going to be another painful year of watching rookies we could have had doing good things while our 2nd rounder does squat.  Running Back wasn't the biggest problem but Scott isn't built to carry the load.  A legit #2 RB such as Dobbins or Dillon would have been nice.  Raekwon Davis would have added some much needed youth at DT.  Uche and Gay are real linebackers instead of reaching for Taylor in the 3rd. Kristian Fulton would have been nice to add to the DB room, same with Jeremy Chinn (going to be a stud).  Don't know much about Ezra Cleveland but we all know what happened yesterday.  Those are just some of the players in then 2nd round they could have had.  The dead horse is being beaten but it's just so frustrating how this team operates.
