It was obviously heavy with sarcasm.

Name a good corner since he’s been here?

Slay. Patrick Robinson also has a great year here.

This back and forth squabbling is pointless. Players and coaches play to win. Eagles will play to win. What happens in the end, happens.

I'm a glass half-full, and I'll speak to the OL. Other than Kelce and Brooks, our oldest OL is Seumalo at 26.

At the skill positions, Goedert, Scott, and Ward are 25, Hightower is 24, Sanders is 23, Hurts is 22, Reagor is 21, and Wentz is the old man at 27.

That's a lot of youth.

Only three of the skill guys are good, although I’m confident Reagor will at worst be a useful player due to his speed.

Scott, Ward and Hightower are nothing to feel good about at the moment. Hurts is nothing but a backup QB and gadget guy.

No ones "freaking out" but knowing this is a 6-9-1 team, why the F are we trying to be 6-9-1 when 4-11-1 gets us a better pick? moral victory lol.

I would consider Eagles fans rooting for the team to tank as "freaking out"

Call it what you want, many think that is a logical approach but I would point out that that approach is more hypothetical than actual truth

This is the same discussion as the Sixers' process which I vehemently disagreed with as well---and thats in the NBA where turning over a roster is much, much easier

Making the playoffs at 6-9-1 would be a very bad thing for this franchise. We’d be much better off picking 6-8 spots higher in reach round. Making the playoffs also puts us one week behind in hiring new assistants.

I've never advocated "tanking" but unless this team does a complete 180 starting this week, I don't see them doing much if they make the playoffs at 6-9-1.

About the closest thing the Eagles should get to the Sixers is trading away aging vets that aren’t part of the next theoretical win window. That means if you aren’t expected to be in your prime from 2021-2024 (or an OL to protect our franchise QB), see ya.

I would happily trade Malik, Cox, Ertz, etc. We don’t have the horses this year and we probably won’t in 2021 due to a horrible cap situation.

It’s time to rip the bandaid off. Six or seven wins isn’t worth it.

I'm getting "close" to that point as well.  Really depends on what they do over the next 2-3 games, imo.

I doubt they will sell with Dak getting hurt. They’ll try to win the division and it will be to the detriment of the franchise long term.

A 5th, a guy they got while upgrading a pick swap, a UDFA and some dude from Canada.

Why have Gerry in at all is what they should be asking Schwartz

Schwartz is the biggest team guy. He’s not going to go up and say Howie has given me nothing at LB.

Who else is he going to have in from the scrubs he’s got in the back 7. He already had Crevon, Craig and NRC in as well on the play. He needed one LB. why he had Gerry on Claypool instead of ANYONE else, that’s a different story.

Which, in LJ Fort's case, was after he was released and picked up by Baltimore.

That is B.S.

This is exactly right. Players and coaches play to win. If they stop doing that then very soon they won't be players or coaches.

You think he tells Howie how to spend our money? We haven’t been a team that invests heavily at that position predating Schwartz.

Exactly. People sit here and blame the DC for having undrafted players start at LB as if the DC actively chose that over signing a good FA or drafting a LB high. Obviously any coach would rather have better players starters if he had the choice.

And SD replaced him with Philip Rivers.  How did that work out for them playoff win wise?

I feel bad for Rivers, he had to deal with Norv as HC for all those years.  He should have a few rings.

He's very much a work in progress, but he's still very much climbing on the learning curve.  Its STEEP.  He's 'holding his own'.  Trouble is... with a backup at LG, RG and RT as well, its hard for them to give him much help, so he's very much on an island a lot of the time.  AND, given that, he's played very well.  He's not an All-Pro or anything of the sort yet, but he's not hurting them much.  Yes, he gets beat from time to time, but all LTs do.  But, its not happening at a Winston Justice level or anything close to it.

BUT... when might any OL be healthy to step back in?  Is Seumalo out for the year?  I'd like to flip Herbig back to RG and get Pryor back on the bench.

Mentioned this the other day.  He has Kelce in the middle and a bunch of bums around him.  D-lines can just tee off.  Everyone on the line needs help at this point.

Step 1 was seeing if he belonged on an NFL field and he proved that.

Step 2 was not getting Carson killed.  He's done that.  Don't give me the Bud Dupree sack, they had to throw and Dupree knew it.  He's also a stud.

Step 3 is making sure he doesn't have mental breakdowns.  So far I haven't seen any major mistakes of him letting his man go.

Step 4 is growth to be a starting LT...I think we are witnessing this right now.

Step 5 is DP not getting feelings for JP and putting him back at LT once he is healthy.

Step 6 is finishing the season strong.

Then the fun begins.  If Mailata just continues to play at the level he's playing at now i want him at LT next year.  However this is the Eagles we are talking about.  Would they try him at RT since Dillard can only play LT?  Do you put all your eggs in Mailata and trade Dillard for a 3rd or 4th?

The only thing we know as of now is Mailata is a player they can potentially build around.
