Bells not fatigued.

If we traded for him, Doug would give him 2 weeks off for jet lag recovery.

So the attendance includes everyone, not just fans? That gives you like what. 4-5k fans?

I would think closer to 6k.  They don't need a "full staff" of stadium personnel to only host 5-6k fans.   I would think 1500 personnel between the teams, security, vendors, media, etc is more than enough.

The mere fact that you think he's elite makes me not value yours.

I didn't say that but you are on record with yours. That said when his career is over I would bet he will be closer to elite than to bad. I will also say that for the past 2 years it's been all him and without him there are a lot more losses. Much like Elway in Denver years ago he needs a team around him and right now they are injured to the max. Blind hate makes people not consider that.

Well since the players are most certainly social distanced from the fans. That makes little sense to me.

Can’t wait to hear 5k fans boo

No, actually blind faith makes people constantly make excuses for piss poor play like Wentz exhibited in the first 3 games.  He's been better the last 2 but no more than mediocre, which granted is a massive improvement over the dumpster fire of the 1st 3 games.

Overall, regardless of the injury situation he's been totally awful this year.  No idea how people can defend his performance thus far.

A few thoughts...

- Don't waste your time complaining that the team made the playoffs last year and cost themselves draft position. What were they supposed to do? They played themselves into the playoffs. You take that every time. It's not easy getting into the playoffs, maybe some of us forget that. The whole reason you want to draft good players is so, you know, you contend and make the playoffs. There's no doubt the ceiling for the team wasn't Super Bowl, but you just never know. You just play.

- Jalen Hurts wasn't drafted to be Taysom Hill. He wasn't drafted to be developed and traded. He was drafted as insurance for Carson Wentz. Howie viewed one of the team's biggest weaknesses as the drop-off when Wentz goes down (without Foles). They were concerned about Wentz's durability and convinced themselves it made sense to draft Hurts in the 2nd round.

- Defense around the league is down right now. More points per game are being scored now than they've been in a long time. Schwartz isn't perfect, but he's a good DC. He's working with crap LBs and a questionable secondary outside of Slay and McLeod.

We had a massive debate last year, which you no doubt remember, about that.  So you did.

I have no hate for Wentz.  I really like, from a public viewpoint, him as a person, what he stands for, how he conducts himself, and what he says behind a mic.  I also love his talent.  I have zero investment in "being right" about Wentz.  I loved the draft pick, loved what I saw from him as a rookie, and what's not to love about 2017?

I just want a better QB on the football field.  Right now, he's bad.

I know your comment was a joke, BUT for the ones who will say we should trade for Bell they need to answer a question. Why would we trade for Bell if we don;t even run Sanders? We are avging 20 run plays a game. Why would we waste Bell coming here? I dont want to hear "He can play WR" LOL

I wasnt being serious but I was thinking maybe it would be a nice 1-2 combo with Miles.  But you're right.....if Doug wont commit to running then it's a waste.

They could use him as a receiver.  But it would take some creativity which the coaches dont really have.  Not saying line him up as a WR but use him as such out of the backfield.

You could have just condensed this into "our GM sucks."

I think Wentz is elite

If you trade for Bell then he has to be your starter. Also he's 28 and there's a strong possibility he could be a problem if he wants a new contract

Go root for Dallas then

Honestly, how can anyone root for Dallas to be in the playoffs?

This should be a bannable offense

If the Eagles cant figure out how to sustain success without drafting in the top 5, its on them.  We dont need to lose to win, this isnt the (failed) 76ers process.

I don’t want Dallas to win the division because I hate Dallas. I’m not cheering for them to win anything. But i also understand the consequences That come with that if they fail to make the playoffs. Dallas is highly likely going have a top 10 pick in every round of the draft to fix that defense much easier than what it would be if they’re picking 10-12 spots back in every round. That’s a reality whether we like it or not. It’s gonna happen if we win the division or lose the division as well

This reminds me of when Romo got hurt that one year After being like 13-3 and they were bad and got a top 4 pick. Then the following year due to drafting highly And their roster with the additions they made were able to come back and go 13-3.

That’s a factor whether we want to admit it or not. I’m always for winning a division cause that’s the first goal but i also realize some times winning that battle of 2020 means eventually you lose the war down the road in the future. wanting to win the division And not see Dallas win has its consequences. Call it a loser mentality but it’s more that’s reality of life in the nfl.

Since they cut him, yes

BUT BUT BUT BUT THE EXPERIENCE  LOL

Yeah imagine the glory CeeDee could bring us like how hes helping the Giants

Beyond the obvious hindsight analysis, it should say something that Dallas did get him and they still suck

Maybe theyre just not a winning organization and years of losing has conditioned the team to fold like lawn chairs.

And just maybe winning actually matters in sports instead of competing for the value Olympics

There is a portion of the "fan base"--I swear to god--that would rather lose every game and have 6 first round picks than actually go to the playoffs.  So much value in losing!!

And after seeing how our backup QB performed in that game, the Eagles decided to use a second-round pick on a QB.

Almost everything about that playoff berth turned to S.

You didn’t see backup QB as a priority, based both on how the backup QB performed, and who the backup QB was?  Playoff game or not?

Wait someone said to trade for Le’veon bell? Why? He’s washed up and is a pain in the a**.

So do I.  And the start of this season is the final evidence that Wentz is NOT elite.  Show me an elite QB who has been this awful 5 years into his career?

It's unfortunate because after 2017 we thought we had an elite QB for the next 10 years.  Sadly that's not the case so we need to plan accordingly.

I really wouldn't care if Dallas wins the division this year.  Eagles blow and need youth badly.  Let the young guys play this year and see what they have.

Also Dallas winning the east would put them in a little bit of a QB controversy if Dalton plays well.
