If you are saying he is elite or close to it, then he would be talked about in the same conversation as Rogers, Brady, Wilson.  Those guys found ways to be elite while having trash weapons around them.  So your argument is flawed.

People were saying Rodgers is done and should retire last year

People were saying Brady is done and should retire last year and within the first few games of this year

While were at it... people are saying Brees looks done and should retire at the end of this year

Wilson has made a career out of putting his team on his shoulders

That's crazy.  If it was that serious of a concussion, I'm not sure he should be playing, tbh.  I mean...that sounds really serious. (If that's the case).

I mean come on.  That concussion was NINE MONTHS ago.  It's nothing but excuse making.

All good bro.

You can recover, but things not be right for a while, trust me I know.

It's better than that.  They proposed to trade Bell for Ertz and Curry.  Bell isn't worth a 5th and Ertz could fetch at least a 2nd.

Bell isn’t worth anything. He’s been bad since he joined the jets. not only that he’s thrown every coach he can under the bus  so he’s going to be better here when we aren’t playing well? Lol he should’ve stayed in Pittsburgh when they offered him that deal. He’s a shell of what he used to be. would’ve been better off just signing Devonta freeman I’m the offseason then trading for bell

I could see trading curry however to a team in need of a pass rusher at the deadline. I tend to think ertz, curry (if he has value), one of our DTs and possibly mcleod are trade chips if the eagles plan to go that way

Well Dallas not having a top 10 pick is good for the eagles. So it’s not irrelevant. You just want to play the card I’m not scared of Dallas then go ahead. But it’s definitely relevant

i love people with this is a loser mentality. Meanwhile last time Dallas had a top 5 pick they added zeke and Dak in the same draft. You are telling me that didn’t affect the eagles And this division? Come on that’s not a loser mentality. That’s you being naive to the fact things that other teams do in the division affects the eagles. Hence the giants being a dumpster fire and redskins being trash affects the eagles too.

im starting to think getting a top 5 player means nothing if you dont have coaches to make them the best players, it's no different in the late rounds.

?

I wouldn't say that.  Concussions have ended dozens (if not hundreds) of athletes' careers throughout history...specifically football players and boxers.

But do we tho? We need a guy with speed that can move when plays break down, THATS the way the league is now and he has zero explosiveness. Even this Herbert guy can move out the way when need be, Russell does it all day, Mahomes, Rodgers etc can all move when things break down. Josh Allen as well.

He doesn't need to move around as well as those guys.  He definitely lost a lot of athleticism and burst.  That being said, he can still be a very good QB if he can read a defense and be accurate/decisive from within the pocket (which includes throwing the ball away and using the rule of 4 seconds and get rid of it if no one is open).

 The quarterback that has carried this team. Nah he's not mediocre but believe what you want.

He's carried this team to a 1-3-1 record when they would be 3-2 with even a mediocre QB instead of the worst QB in the league as Wentz has been so far.

And he didn't carry us to jack in the past.  "Carried" us to 5-6 in 2018 then Nick Foles had to save the season.

"Carried" us to 9-7 and a backdoor playoff berth in one of the worst divisions in NFL history last year, then got himself knocked out in the 1st Q with his typical reckless and stupid play, leaving us with NO CHANCE.

You have extremely low standards for elite QB play.

He most certainly has won with trash around him.

Ah.

that said if the eagles do decide to be sellers i still think four names to look at would be curry, ertz, malik (i day this in the fact i rather sell a year early then a year late) and mcleod (more of i think he would have excellent value on the market)

Nah, you're just being ludicrous but that's okay that's your right.

Apparently leveon bell is on the block

Here's the difference...

All those guys have had multiple MVP-like years and have won a Super Bowl.  That is why they are considered elite.

I am not saying Wentz does not have the ability to be like that but he is certainly trending in the wrong direction.

You seriously blame Wentz for an illegal hit giving him a concussion? And you call it reckless and stupid? Wtf?

I don’t know I kind of tend to think if you hit on the talent that is deserving of top five players they’re gonna be great regardless of who’s coach. Jason Garrett was a moron of a coach but Zeke Elliott was going to be good because Zeke Elliott is a really good player even before he got to Dallas. Nick Bosa if he didn’t go to the Niners and would’ve went to the Jacksonville jaguars was still going to be a really good player because Nick Bosa was a really talented pass rusher

it’s not always like that in the top five but if you hit on the right one I think you can succeed even with mediocre to poor coaching due to talent. The problem is the Eagles would have to find that player and do you trust howie to hit

What has he won?  He won a bunch of regular season games.  One can argue he would have won a few playoff games in 2017 but reality is, he didn't.  Injuries or not, he has not won a playoff game.

Elite QB's have won playoff games and Super Bowls.

We’re 1-3-1. If we finish the season at 6-9-1, eff a playoff spot. Truly, who cares about making the playoffs as a bad team?

Now if we go 9-6-1 and completely turn around the season because we’re playing to our potential, now we have something cooking.

Some seriously dumb and hysterical stuff today.

Blew a head gasket on my bmw. Thanks fn Wentz.

Frankly I think six wins is kind of the high ceiling for them. I still think Dallas can split with the Eagles. Andy Dalton is it some scrub. He’s not delete any probably not good but he is good enough to be a mediocre too bad team like the Eagles with the weapons that on that team.

I look at it this way they probably beat the Giants twice, Washington they probably beat, and they likely split with Dallas. That puts you at five wins. Who else on the schedule do you see us beating At the moment? I don’t see us beating the ravens, Seahawks, Packers, Saints. That leaves the Browns and the Cardinals. Both games they have to travel. The Browns are actually playing good football right now so I see that as a loss. And every time the Eagles travel to Arizona since az left the NFC East The Eagles have lost. I know cause I’ve been to every single one of those games and it’s been frustrating as hell to watch them lose every single time to the freaking Cardinals

But Prescott was a 4th round pick, and Zeke wasn’t the correct pick at #4 — Jalen Ramsey was.  Zeke hasn’t helped the Turds accomplish anything that any other good RB drafted in the 3rd round couldn’t have done.

We would’ve also accepted blaming McNabb

That’s a different argument. I’m just talking about what would make me happy with a playoff berth. Six wins won’t do it for me.
