But Prescott was a 4th round pick, and Zeke wasn’t the correct pick at #4 — Jalen Ramsey was.  Zeke hasn’t helped the Turds accomplish anything that any other good RB drafted in the 3rd round couldn’t have done.

I’m not arguing the merits of them drafting Zeke at four over another player. That wasn’t the argument. The argument was Zeke was talented enough with poor coaches around him to still be a great player. As my wording of "right pick”, i meant a guy who’s talented enough to overcome the coaching around him. That has nothing to do with whether or not that pick was the correct pick. I 100% agree with you it was a dumb pick and they should’ve gone with jalen Ramsey. But the debate was more just cause you have a top-five pick doesn’t mean they’re going to have success if you have poor coaching. There’s players that are surrounded by poor coaching in the top five that have successful careers

Should’ve worded better than right pick as more of a guy’s talent is worthy of being selected that high can overcome poor coaching. I don’t think anyone could argue zeke’s talent hasn’t overcome poor coaching by Garrett

We would’ve also accepted blaming McNabb

You seriously blame Wentz for an illegal hit giving him a concussion? And you call it reckless and stupid? Wtf?

You apologists seriously think Wentz plays smart and does what he needs to do to avoid hits?  WTF?

We were hoping that Carson was white Russell Wilson, who plays extremely smart and knows how to avoid hits.

Instead he's white RG3 who never learned.

What has he won?  He won a bunch of regular season games.  One can argue he would have won a few playoff games in 2017 but reality is, he didn't.  Injuries or not, he has not won a playoff game.

Elite QB's have won playoff games and Super Bowls.

Is his career over?

Did you read the article?

That’s a different argument. I’m just talking about what would make me happy with a playoff berth. Six wins won’t do it for me.

I don’t think anyone would be happy. Then again if they got 6 I’d be A little surprised with the schedule they have.

Been there. With an 04 gti. One hell of a hop though I’ll tell you that

People were saying Rodgers is done and should retire last year

People were saying Brady is done and should retire last year and within the first few games of this year

While were at it... people are saying Brees looks done and should retire at the end of this year

Wilson has made a career out of putting his team on his shoulders

Show us the evidence that real elite QB's like the ones you've mentioned have ever had such an awful stretch as the so called elite Wentz.  We'll be waiting a long time...

So you are just looking into the future and predicting he will become elite?  Sounds good.

Buck sounded so depressed making that call - eff him

So apparently Schwartz passive aggressively threw Howie under the bus today?

We’re 1-3-1. If we finish the season at 6-9-1, eff a playoff spot. Truly, who cares about making the playoffs as a bad team?

Now if we go 9-6-1 and completely turn around the season because we’re playing to our potential, now we have something cooking.

What about if we go 6-9-1 but we turn our season around near the end, play to our potential, and make the playoffs?

I think he does too much because he's surrounded by rookies and/or PS guys the last 2 years. I also think he wasn't confident in his makeshift Oline

I never hoped he was "white Russell Wilson" lol

RG3 was ruined by Skins IMO

Is Nick Foles an elite QB.  If so, I show you his play in St Louis and Jacksonville, and his 2014 and 2017 regular season in Philly

I definitely think he will lead us to playoff wins and yes another super bowl. But we have to get healthy first (at least reasonably).

I did this already and I'm not doing it again. Use the search function. I gave 2 examples and said I found more IIRC

Bunch of losers talking about draft picks and wanting the team they supposedly love to lose, pro-tip Howie doesn't draft well so 10 spots difference aren't going to matter, right? I'm sure the 2011 Giants fans just wanted a higher draft pick when they were sitting at 6-6 with 4 weeks left, how did that turn out for them? YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME

Howie/Doug/Schwartz are not getting fired even if they finish 1-14-1, they made the playoffs 3 straight years and won the GD SB. Its an unprecedented year with almost no offseason and catastrophic injuries, they will be given a pass right or wrong. Oh and anyone who says they're hoping the Cowboys take the division aren't real fans of the Eagles, their fans of playing team GM and puffing their chest out that they can do it better. Get on board or GTFO

Then I’ll be annoyed we ruined a great draft pick to lose in the first round.

I wouldn't say that.  Concussions have ended dozens (if not hundreds) of athletes' careers throughout history...specifically football players and boxers.

Then why is he playing if he's permanently compromised in the head?

If Lurie really is going to move on from Howie, I wouldn't be surprised if Louis Riddick was a guy he at least kicked the tires on and looked at. He already has experience with the team being a scout and assistant director of pro personnel in 08/09 for them. I think he's going to get a job with a team eventually.

MVP votes and what he did last year with literal trash of the streets is ELITE.

Just to clarify, you are saying he was close to MVP level (as you brought up the votes) last year?  You are also saying he was elite last year?  You guys have a funny definition for elite.

All I really care about is turning this season around and playing to our potential I would like this team to get healthy and show what they can do. I want wins because we deserve them.

We would have CeeDee Lamb and no Jalen Hurts.  What a wonderful thing that would be.

Oh come on, this is the height of hindsight analysis

He was talking about his 2017 MVP votes and the fact that he played at a high level to close last season with practice squad WR's.

When did we turn it around? Is it with Dallas and Washington? Or prior with Seattle, packers, saints and cardinals? Makes a difference like if we win out with Dallas and Washington after losing those previous four To make the playoffs that to me isn’t turning it around
