Already cut 2 draft picks from 2020.  Nice.

That's annoying as F.

Multiple things can be true

- We should have put Jeffrey on PUP to get one roster spot that could have been used on anyone. That was a mistake we all called at the time
- Casey Toohill was bad in games
- Casey Toohill will likely do nothing for Washington, making him likely to be released at some point
- If Howie is so bad at drafting and acquiring talent, how come the players he releases get claimed?

Yup. But maybe he’s been terrible in practice since.

How many Eagles have been terrible in games and still start and play 100% of the snaps?  I'm talking to you Gerry.

I get your point.  It's just so frustrating this teams complete lack of big picture thinking.  From the injuries to roster management and drafting....it's infuriating.

they also ran hollins out there playing a ton of snaps Doing nothing and then next week he was gone.

That's not even the best part.  It's the fact that we cut one of them to make room for an older vet that adds nothing in terms of upside.

Disappointing after the hype he received in camp.

Its disappointing because they did this for Vinny Curry.

I love Vinny Curry, but this is an Esgles failure any way you slice it

I don’t think he’s coming down in bounds regardless, but I’m curious how close he could have made it if he tried to get the second foot down. There was no reason to because of the drop.

Yeah he wasn't coming down in which is why I blamed it as much on Carson for ball placement while most were focused on the ball going through Hightower arm.

But it really looks like a possible reception is Hightower took a slightly different path.

Who knows.

I'm more upset about the 2 other bad misses to him that Carson had which were all on Wentz. 1 other was a guaranteed TD.

The thing is if Toohill was terrible in practise, we have much better players on the D line that can play in games in front of him.

As horrible as Gerry is, there’s no one better behind him that can play.

We're really treating a 7th round pick like he's gold?

Athletic, showed well in camp, plays a premium position, cheap for four years.

He was a penny stock, but considering where we’re at as a team, maybe it makes more sense to hold him over some other players.

Thats some circular logic there

If hes good enough to get claimed, why did we cut him?  And if hes bad enough to cut after 5 weeks, why did we draft him?

Since 2016 we had 36 picks

21 are still here 13 making a  contribution, well kind of a positive contribution in some cases

Didn't count Dillard

Did he even play?

In addition, it might simply mean that there are GMs even worse than is Roseman.

Has any NFL team in the last decade paid more on defense than offense?

Its not like Schwartz hasnt had talent, hes had a lot of it

He played 22 snaps against the Rams. Not seeing any stats for him for that game so I guess he didn't register any.

Not sure why the Jags would do that for a scrub, but whatever.

Bottom line: Doug got the exact look he wanted, got Fulgham wide open. The Steelers obliged by rushing only three. Literally Doug couldn’t have set it up better if he tried.

But the OL couldn’t block three with seven. But yet the playcall was bad?

You tired yet?

Hopefully both are unlimited limited.

DB also makes contact with WR before the ball gets there, it's minimal and bang bang but the way the refs called slay for his first PI they could have easily called this PI

Looks to me that the DB carries hightowers leg and momentum out.

I would say the DB timed his contact perfectly, just as the ball got there so that Hightower’s upper body is thrown backwards just as he is reaching his hands to cradle the ball.   I would grade that as a PBU. Good play by the DB.

Amen.  Tonight is virtual back to school night.

Exactly, if the team was counting on the value added from the spot this season, then it's no big deal.  The issue is the future value and need to get younger.

Fulgham says that he would have caught that.

Yup.

I don't love calling 7 man protections against a 3 man rush. That leaves 4 receivers against 8 defenders. That's a win for the defense...especially if they're playing man coverage with help. The Steelers played zone, which allowed Fulgham to get open.

The Steelers also blitz a lot. So we kept more guys in to block to protect our QB. I'm not going to complain about that.

Your math is off.
