The Toohill era maybe dead, but the Miller era may be back. Does that nullify the whole losing a draft pick thing?  Or does it really not matter in the grand scheme of things...

Yeah I don’t think people are talking enough about the run blocking of offensive line over the last two weeks specifically. It’s been bad. We can say a lot of things about Miles Sanders not hitting a hole a couple of times but after watching the all 22 from the last two weeks how many of us would say he had good run blocking for over half of his 24 carries? I’m guessing consensus says it’s been less

Pryor is getting no push.  Basically big guy that stands his ground well.  He has nice hand movement but not feet.  Whereas Miles and Boston could make a living running behind Brooks and Seumalo, they run into a wall behind Herbig and Pryor.  I really think those two are better pass protection blockers and that is why Opeta isn’t playing.

Back up 3/4 LB that cannot play the run.  Doubt he sticks long with wasteam.

No, Miller sucks.

No reason to jump for that ball.

There is if you feel you can only catch with your shoulder pads.

Don’t disagree with your assessment at all. I’m almost positive that’s why both of them are playing. The fact of the matter is we are not running the ball well outside of sanders bit run and some of it is on the backs but I think a large majority of it the last two weeks are oline is not doing very well run blocking. Specifically pryor is the worst of the bunch

Since 2016 we had 36 picks

21 are still here 13 making a  contribution, well kind of a positive contribution in some cases

Didn't count Dillard

21 out of 36 is 58%.  Pretty sure that's actually "above average" after 5 years.

Out of those 21 how many do you believe should actually still be on the roster is an important question

the problem here is that most of your first, second and third rounders are mostly always misses.

barnett i consider a miss @ 1st round

dillard

s. jones

jj

agholor

davion taylor 3rd rounder that is a developmental player

jalen hurts 2nd rounder when the expectation is for him not to play.

smallwood

douglas

The most disconcerting thing isn’t Toohill going to DC it’s the fact that the movies the Eagles have made since the offseason indicate a team that still doesn’t think they need to rebuild.

I get what you’re saying but Smallwood wasn’t a top three round pick. He was a fifth round pick. That was actually considering the fact it was a fifth round pick a solid pick

I’m gonna do this later today or tomorrow but I’m gonna go through all other 31 teams to look at the young players they are 25 and younger and comparatively see how many guys I will consider core guys who are Highly productive players for the future compared to the Eagles. I have a feeling we are going to be in the bottom third in this category

I bet they're dead last or tied for it. Outside of Sanders, who is a highly productive player for the future of this team who is 25 or younger? Goedert maybe, but I don't consider him that yet.

I’d probably say sanders and goedert. I would’ve said mailata and dillard if they had played more and showed promise (mailata has but it’s two games. It’s how i feel about fulgham I’d need more of a sample size before calling him a core player). Reagor still has a chance and ditto with Watkins and Hightower just aren’t able to definitely say that yet. Could argue Barnett if he played more this year than 3 games. I think sweat as a rotational DE is. But really kind of ends there

Said the chiefs yesterday made sense with CEH not playing very well over the last 4 weeks. Dolphins make sense cause gaskin is a nice no  2, breida hasn’t been what they thought and Howard’s been an afterthought and he trains in miami

Every night i say a prayer that Mailata keeps improving. He's already exceeded my expectations.

Jaws is spot on about the practices. I understand the CBA on padded practices although I think they went too far, but the length of practices is spot on.  He also pinpoints where Press is failing in my eyes in pressing Wentz on his mechanics. Carson needs to practice correct mechanics until they are as natural as walking.

Is it just me, since they limited the number of full contact practices it seems the number of injuries have gone up.

Just look at the Ss on the injury report to figure out why they cut Arnold and are close to activating Parks.

It's amazing how he was likely going to get fired and then they come back the next season and light the league on fire

Yup the run blocking has been atrocious. Herbig reminds me of MJG. Max was about 350 and had zero movement skills, as such he was tough to get around or move backwards but he got zero push in the run game.

Pryor is supposed to be a better run blocker than pass blocker And he's been bad at both. Lane isn't getting any push in the run game as his ankle isn't right, kelce had never been a move guys out of the way power player and while Mailaya has the size strength and movement skills to be a good run blocker most the time seems he's just standing around not knowing who to hit add in that driscoll us usually going backwards and it's not surprising the Running game has looked like hot trash majority of times.

I think Pryor is really the weak link. I would like to see Herbig move back to RG,  but without an alternative, he's stuck at LG.
