Did anyone ever watch NFL Rocks on VHS?   Was Dean the guy who yelled at his mom for putting too much salt in the pound cake?

Can not say I have ever seen it.

OK I'll jump here.  A virus that attacks your lungs killed the man. So let's point out in a playful way that the guy smoked cigarettes before or after football games/practice?

If that's what he was known for then that's what he was known for. You don't change the truth to make a story feel better

It's a total early 90s hour long music video set to NFL highlights.  I loved this as a kid.

I like an occasional cigar, if the covid kills me feel free to write that in my "story". (Like I'm getting a story)

Bill Barnwell proposed Eagles trade Ertz and a 6th to Arizona for Haason Reddick and a 3rd. I'd pass

Also as part of the deal i could possibly get my ertz jersey signed if he’s traded out here. Does that make it any better for you? Lol

Paired with a good whiskey.

If they lose the next few games, I would consider "selling" but I don't think this team is there yet.

If Wentz has the same type of turnaround as he had during the final 4 games of last season, this team can be a contender.  Keep in mind we are also getting Jackson, Reagor and Jeffery back within the next few weeks.

Heck, if this team somehow beats the Ravens on Sunday, that will certainly turn a lot of heads and could turn around the season.

Amid all the weeping and gnashing of teeth regarding Howie, from my POV this was always going to be a transition year and IIRC, Howie said as much. We're middle of the pack right now age-wise, but if one discounts JP and DJax, we're among the youngest. The only contract I look at askance is the Alshon deal, which looks worse all the time. Even so, it has one more year to run and only one and at the time the deal was made Alshon was not injured. I think Howie got screwed by the pandemic and the reduced cap - his plans blew up because of it. Alshon's contract predates that by a fair amount. Howie did not suddenly lose his mind and his skill at cap management.

I can see Djax, JP, Alshon, Curry and maybe Kelce, Brooks and Graham not being here next year.

That alone makes the team much younger as long as Howie doesn't go out and sign Grandpa Moses. It does however leave a couple of important holes to fill.

They can keep Redidick too. Ertz/6th maybe a 7th for a 3rd right now. lets roll

Turn around or no turn around. we need to HAVE TO unload Ertz ASAP.

Well that's just stupid.

Cigars are fine.  99% of cigar smokers don't inhale their cigars and most smoke them outside (or in a well ventilated cigar room).  Anyone who has ever smoked cigarettes and then went on to smoke cigars can tell you the difference between cigarettes and cigars is night and day.

Cigar smokers smoke cigars more as a "hobby" vs an "addiction"...cigars aren't addictive like cigarettes are.  When you inhale a cigarette, the nicotine hits your lungs and your brain within seconds and that is what most cigarette smokers get addicted to.

Cigars, on the other hand, are not inhaled so the nicotine delivery is very gradual and through the mouth/stomach...never really hits the lungs....so it's more of a "relaxing" feeling vs the "instant rush" that a cigarette gives you.

Yes, it does. I'm fully expecting Brooks to be here next year. I'm not sure of the others, though I think Alshon's contract makes him uncuttable (is that a word) or untradeable if they think he can play at all.

I'm not against trading Ertz at this point. Just don't like the deal. Getting back a guy who had one good year and has declined and who is a FA in 2021. He might make our LB corp a tad better but no where near enough impact to make a difference.

I can’t see Brandon brooks not being back next year. His Number is 14.5 million if you try to release or trade him it’s 13 million in dead money prior to June 1st then you get more cap. I think he’s locked in for 2021. But 2022 there’s a chance he is not here his cap number is around 17.5 mill and you can create 8 1/2 million by releasing him

OTOH, a cigar creates a zone of stench around the smoker that is hard to penetrate. Might as well burn the clothes you're wearing afterwards 'cause you'll never get the smell out.

I'd take a 3rd for Ertz straight up.

I mean, if it comes out that Ertz really no longer wants to be here (I'm not convinced that's necessarily the case) then I guess I would explore trade options.  I certainly wouldn't take less than a 2nd round pick for him...especially since there's at least a dozen teams that could use a TE of his caliber.

Frankly I would’ve said a second round pick before the season started but the fact that he has not played well so far and a team has to give him an extension I would be kind of shocked if a team gave us a second rounder.

If you smoke "high end/hand rolled/premium" cigars, the smell tends to be closer to an "incense" type of smell vs a nasty tobacco type of smell.

Phillies blunts on the other hand.....ugh.....

So you want to keep a guy here who obviously doesnt want to be here, obviously is aging, wants stupid money and his stock is plummeting.

Think about what we could of got for Ertz last trade deadline, this offseason and now.

It went from a 2 and a 5 last year to MAYBE a 4th this year lol

I offered a proposal and you countered with a worse trade. That is what's stupid.

And you are pulling what the Eagles could get for Ertz out of thin air.

I can see him retiring after a number of season ending injuries.

It’s tough to know what they’re gonna do with Alshon next year. His cap number is 18 million. But if you cut him before June 1 you only save 8 million and the dead money is 10. If you wait until post June 1 cut or designated as that you actually save 13 million. It makes more sense to designate him as a post June 1 cut

I don’t know I think he likes playing and likes playing with the guys are here. The fact that he posted today a picture of shoes saying it felt good to lace them back up and he’s trying to get  that fast makes me think he still wants to play. I think there’s a bigger chance this is Jason kelce last year with the eagles
