I hear what you're saying and there's a reason he was a 5th round pick.  Why do we always have to wait for Eagles WR to learn how to play in the NFL?  I just go back to other rookie WRs making plays when given the chance.  I just don't get it.  For once, I want to see an Eagles rookie WR just prove he belongs right out of the gate.

Reagor is injured.  Suggestion from his play is he will succeed. Needing a fifth rounder to have a little time to develop is not a bad thing if he does develop.  The expectation was Watkins would have time to do that as the number five or six WR.

The more I watch of Fulgham against Steelers the more excited I get about him. He did a lot of things well. I think he’s more than another jag.

I've forgotten what it was like to have 2 decent receivers on the field at the same time. I hope you're right and I hope Reagor gets back quickly. Frankly I don't care if Alshon plays another down for the Eagles ever again

Cheaper to cut him than to keep him next year. That works for me.

True and I think jackson offers more when healthy. Problem is he's never healthy anymore and at least he doesn't bad mouth the qb.

Hopefully he can come back soon and be done with the injuries. Eagles could really use him hightower has been a disappointment as the deep threat.

I think a trio of fulgham desean and ward could be good.

When reagor comes back fulgham desean and reagor could give defenses some problems.

Mix in hightower and watkins for a few snaps instead of counti g on hightower for majority of WR snaps and things look better.

I think silver lining with injuries is fulgham doesn't get a chance here without them

Now he looks like a good piece going forward more so than JJaw and jeffrey at X.

I know the coaches keep saying they are still counting on jeffrey but why? What does he offer that they don't already have. He was slow last year before the injury,it's not like a year older post injury he's going to be faster.

I'd keep him a healthy scratch as well as JJAw and go with fulgham jackson ward hightower watkins on game day this week.

If jackson isn't ready go with JJaw out of necessity.😒

True but go look at 2022. That’s still a $3.9 million dead money for a guy who we know is not gonna be on the roster

Frankly I don’t think the coaches believe that but they have to say it. They can’t come out and say well jeffery is healthy and we’re just not gonna use him because he’s a pain in the ass and we don’t think he’s good anymore. They’re never going to say that I think they’re just gonna use them sporadically or if fulgham starts to regress

I'm right there with you. Even if when jeffrey is healthy I'd keep him a healthy scratch. He's untradeable because of that contract but no reason to play him. One is going to pay him if cut might as well pay him to sit on bench. He's a cancer and just takes snaps from younger guys.

Where is Sam Lynch when I need him? I had thought that if a guy is cut, all his dead cap money hits at once. Well, it explains why I didn't buy Berkshire Hathaway in 1970 at $6.75 a share.

This is another one of those times where I wish don was still on the message board because he would send out a tweet and he get a response about it. But I’m pretty sure it’s when I use the Calculator when I cut him that’s what happens

Well hopefully fulgham doesn't regress as I have zero desire to see jeffrey out there.i cant see fulghsm regressing to the point where he's replaced by jeffrey.

Can jeffrey still play? Probably he's a big target with a large wing span and a big hands catcher that he's not worth his contract doesn't mean he can't play at all anymore I just don't think anyone wants to see him play including coaches.

It was time for him to go a long time ago and that stupid contract keeps him here, that contract alone is enough to get howie fired IMO. It's just such an odd situation not sure I can remember one comparable where a player has worn out his welcome the fans don't want him the coaches don't I doubt jeffrey wants to be here yet the contract keeps him here😵

Yeah that’s probably howie’s worse contract he’s had since he’s been here. The initial contract was not bad. When he restructured it it basically made it impossible to get out of that contract until 2021 at the earliest. Even in 2021 you save 8 million compared to 10 million in dead money. Realistically with Jeffrey you would hope to designate them as a  post June 1 cut but the problem with that is you don’t get that Space until June 1 and the Eagles need it way before then

frankly I don’t know what Jeffrey can give you. That’s a pretty major injury he’s coming off of. I guess he’s not a speed guy but he is a jump ball type guy and without great athleticism to start that might kill whatever athleticism he had left. Now he has lost some weight which maybe that helps but I can’t see a guy who hasn’t played in nearly 10 1/2 months coming off that type of injury returning back to form over his first month or two of the season.

Even if he didn’t get hurt I don’t think the Eagles were going to be able to trade him and if they did I think they would’ve had to give something with them for the team to take him on

It does. Howie's accounting methods don't always cleanly fit Spotrac/OverTheCap's tables.

My hope for him is that he's a 2009 Miles Austin when he broke out for Dallas from out of nowhere.

Yup I think jeffrey will be a shell of himself and what he was before the injury still wasn't an elite player.

I'm not sure the thinking behind the extension, not sure anybody knows, has anyone ever asked howie, Hey why they hell did you extend an aging oft injured malcontent to a huge contract???

If not they should. Howie deserves to be raked over the coals for it over and over😠

I think the biggest question is if the problem is our scouts or our coaches?  Seems that some players are going to other teams and having success so the question is why can't we get the most out of the talent we draft?  Jones and Douglas are the two most recent examples.

True, except if it's designated as a post June 1st cut, then it's split between the current season and the following season.

I had hopes for Mills at safety this year. I thought it would more fit his skill set yet he was useless at safety and since taking over at corner has been useless as well.

Gerry is laughable as a starter. I tire of hearing the coaches say how smart he is that he can call the defense, well if that's all it takes to be a good LB in Schwartz system then maybe Schwartz and Flajole should be the starting LBs as they have the scheme down Pat😒

Maybe they blocked him from the facility

Rather see Opeta get a shot at RT or RG. He played LT in college and is a bit more Stout than driscoll though Jamon Brown obviously has more experience but still that's an even uglier O line which I wasn't sure was possible💩

I was watching some highlights of Fulgham last night from his time at Old Dominion and also with the Lions. If he wen't to a bigger school, I am sure he would have been drafted higher. Kid never played football until he was in High School and was a walk on at Old Dominion. I don't think this kid is a JAG, he has lots of potential and hopefully can be a greatly needed star here.

It was interesting hearing the Lions coaches’ responses to questions about Fulgham. They made it seem like there were other issues at play. But maybe they’re just covering their butts.
