It was interesting hearing the Lions coaches’ responses to questions about Fulgham. They made it seem like there were other issues at play. But maybe they’re just covering their butts.

It’s also the lions so there’s that.

Fulgham has a large wingspan with big hands and uses those hands to hands catch and high point and snatch passes.

I don't expect him to have 10 catches a week  but I think he can continue to be a reliable target for Wentz and once the eagles get some guys back like jackson goedert reagor teams wont be able to focus on fulgam like steelers did towards end of game.

Too many of you to quote right now but the issue regarding Toohill isn't his potential or lackthereof or wasting a 7th round pick.  The issue is the Eagles vision is so short sighted that they are looking at Vinny Curry for this year and that's it.  Not what Toohill could have learned or heck even bringing Ostman up from the PS.  If a guy ever deserves a shot it's him.  Vinny is the past.  He has no future here.  Now he is going to take away snaps from Avery too.  So instead of that 4th round investment improving on the field and getting as many opportunities as possible he is going to share snaps with a 32 year old d end.

Get used to seeing this all day on Sunday with Brown and Duvernay.

The Eagles want to win games. They are going to field the best team they feel they can. They aren't using game time to develop players.

Yup. I was never a fan of resigning curry this year. I thought it was a head scratcher. Interested to know if howie brought him back or Schwartz or was both.

Either way seems a poor choice and cutting a guy one just drafted to bring curry back to give minimal snaps that could be going to you get guys that are just as good seems questionable.

Especially after hearing guys like howie talk about how they can't get stuck in the past and reward guys for past accomplishments and then do exactly that just poor decisions all around.

My hope for him is that he's a 2009 Miles Austin when he broke out for Dallas from out of nowhere.

Him, Stefon diggs, it happens

Could also say victor Cruz. Cruz had better speed but came out of nowhere too

This quote my explain something with the Lions, although this is from his college coach... Also, great story to read.

"It was never anything malicious, no drugs or alcohol or girls,” Zyskowski said. "It was never that. It was more like, you’d get so frustrated because it was little minute stuff that he didn’t pay attention to. ‘Travis, you missed your tutor.' 'Travis, you missed your academic adviser appointment.’ He’s like, ‘Yep. I did.’ No, that’s not OK. The next day, ‘You missed your lift!’ ‘I was tired. I slept in. I missed my alarm.’ That’s not how this works.”

I hear what you're saying and there's a reason he was a 5th round pick.  Why do we always have to wait for Eagles WR to learn how to play in the NFL?  I just go back to other rookie WRs making plays when given the chance.  I just don't get it.  For once, I want to see an Eagles rookie WR just prove he belongs right out of the gate.

That hasn't happened since 2008 and 2009 with Jackson and Maclin.   And before that, there was learning curves... Chris T. Jones was invisible for his whole rookie year, then broke out in his second, only to disappear again.  Such a shame.  That 1996 season was looking like the start of a very promising career.

How does curry help one win games this year more than avery. Is curry a better pass rusher than avery?

Curry is a pretty good run defender at this point in his career but whose he taking snaps from on run downs? Graham, barnett, sweat?

Right now the eagles dress 4 DEs on game day are they going to dress 5 or only 4 and if 4 I'm guessing avery sits.

Curry isn't a better pass rusher than avery which means on passing downs the rotation will be graham barnett sweat and a worse pass rusher than avery.☹️

It's a stupid move even if the eagles reasoning is because curry gives them a better shot at winning now. It's not like they just signed reggie white , it's freaking vinny curry.

I'm confident in saying that the reason the eagles have sucked isn't due to absence of curry and that his addition isn't going to move the needle.

So all one accomplished is getting rid of a young DE who could have shown some future promise for an aging broken down backup vet on the tail end of his career.☹️

Chris T jones didn't just all the sudden pull a bobby hoying and forget how to play football and drift into obscurity he had a career ending injury.

I'm not the Eagles, I'm just telling you what likely their thought process is. Do I agree? I want to win games that part I agree with. Does Avery have more talent than Currry I can't answer that, but it seems like the Eagles feel that he does.

I don't think that people are confused about what eagles brass us thinking I think it's clear that Eagles fans don't agree with that thinking.

One can say hey they are professional coaches and gms and are smart so who are we with our limited knowledge to question their expertise?

One name- Nate Gerry😠

I'm not even saying that. I'm just telling you that THEY likely think that Curry give them the best chance to win games.

Difference is hurst is on a rookie contract and not asking for big money like ertz. That factors into this. I think that hurts you in negotiations.

Yea, it factors into it somewhat. But a team trading for Ertz is getting him for less than $5M this year and another year at $8M, which is a bargain. Still, my point is you can expect more than just a 5th round pick if you move him.

Cutting Toohill stings because he apparently showed something in camp. Him being a seventh-round pick is no big deal. It’s just a head start on signing UDFAs.

Sure, but we also heard how great JJAW looked too. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Gerry's a place holder until Bradley and Taylor are ready. A criticism one might level at our coaches is their sticking too long with veterans over more talented rookies. I think that criticism is misplaced but i can understand it. Play a guy before he's ready and you can ruin him permanently.  Some guys are tough enough to overcome early failure; others are not. Vaitai was, for example, but Winston Justice was not. Driscoll looks like he may become a player. He's scrappy. And I'm excited about Mailata's future. Then there are guys who plateau. Pryor is one of those, it appears.

On defense you can really see which players are not mentally ready when they blow assignments over and over. The Rams took those guys out behind the woodshed and beat them unmercifully.

Fulgham mania in full effect. I usually have a good eye when it comes to WRs and  I’m not buying in just yet. He took advantage of the Steelers defense who refused to make an adjustment on him and when they finally did He was shut down on the last drive.

Let’s see him do it with teams that are gonna be ready for him.

That said I hope he makes me eat my words

Yup I agree that's what they are thinking and I believe like others they are wrong.

no one is "buying in" just yet.

Where is Sam Lynch when I need him? I had thought that if a guy is cut, all his dead cap money hits at once. Well, it explains why I didn't buy Berkshire Hathaway in 1970 at $6.75 a share.

It depends if you cut him pre or post June 1st
