how many games

You mean plays?  I don't expect him to last a full game at this point.

Jackson, Reagor, Fulgham could be pretty nice.  Its only a question of how many games we will ever get out of Jackson.

Desean is a hologram.   He shouldn't even be on the team.

Over the last 2 years, the collective wisdom of the Eagles' coaches, GM, and training staff thought it wise to pay Jason Peters, Desean Jackson, and Darren Sproles a total of nearly $36m...but felt that DK Metcalf was too high risk from an injury/durability perspective to invest a 2nd round pick.

Think about that for a second.  This is who is in charge.

Looks like the Eagles FO needs to run for office.

They aren't the same high flying offense this year.

They haven't played Gerry yet.

We truly need to sell at the deadline. I don't care how close we are to first in this horrendous division. I know a lot of/most of you are on board with this, but I really hope the FO is as well.

This team needs a serious overhaul.

Anyone (and you know who you are) who said the WR corps would be upgraded this year with Desean returning from injury should be embarrassed.

I'm not saying they're good, but they're clearly better than last year. That's not even a debate.

I'm just tired of the same BS these past couple years. Old injury prone players with high contracts going down every year, not having any consistency with weapons, relying on Jason Peters, not caring about LBers, drafting horribly... etc.

I would have projected DJax to play about 10 games this year. Obviously that’s not gonna happen.

Out of an abundance of embarrassment and dishonor for being wrong on a message board, I’m now going to perform seppuku to restore honor to my family.

Are we sure about that?

Awesome...we could use a guard.

And?   How does Peters fix that problem?  I've yet to see him play there.  He might be an upgrade over Pryor... or, and it's hard to believe, but he might not.  We really don't know.

I think it's safe to say JP would be an upgrade over Pryor. Assuming he's healthy, of course.

Big assumptions there... both of them.  JP would be flipping to the opposite side, and moving inside... dealing with DTs not DEs, dealing with T-E stunts differently..  I don't think its a guarantee that he's necessarily an upgrade. Nor do I believe that he'll last at that position at all.   I was against bringing him back.  I wanted Kyle Long, I still do.  But... that won't happen.

He doesn't fix any problems.  I just want him to go through the embarrassment of not returning to the LT position that he used to extort them into a bigger contract.

That's true... Gerry could make any team look like an elite offense.

Gotcha.  He should be asked to take a pay cut to play RG, frankly.  They won't do it, but it would be appropriate given what he did to start the year.

Absolutely that's what they should do. I mean at this point I think he'd possibly be our best option at RG? But yeah they should tell him to take a pay cut to do so.

Anyone wanna take bets they play him at LT?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he returns at LT. That's what I would bet on. Prepare your disappointment now, blog.

I suspect you're right. I hope you're wrong.

There weren’t any designed rollouts or plays to get Wentz out of the pocket. I didn’t notice any complaints, and my guess is because we scored 29 points against an elite defense. It was also Wentz’s best game of the year (PFF graded him out as the No. 4 QB I believe).

I suspect the lack of rollouts I’d something to do with Pittsburgh loving nickel blitzes as well as their use of five-man lines.

With T J Watt on one side and Bud Dupree on the other, rollouts would have moved Carson towards the strength of their pass rush. Derek Wolfe on the other hand......

Uggg inserting peters back at LT would be a typical howie move at this point 😵

Not yet. Especially not at RT.

His arms too short to box with God, or cut off an edge rusher if he's beat on the first step.

Starting NT. Big loss for them tomorrow

That’s wrong.  He has 33” arms.  Jason Peters has 33.13” arms. That .13 makes all the difference?  While the preference is 34” arms, 33 isn’t ridiculously short.  I am not a huge fan of PFF and this study is a little dated but it is worth noting.

https://www.pff.com/news/does-arm-length-affect-ot-play

He doesn’t have monster arms like Mailata or Johnson and his wingspan is five inches less than Lane’s, but his ten yard split is right up there close to Lane’s.  He has nice speed, close to JP’s Combine and similar strength.  He does need about 15-20 pound weight gain.  BTW, Dillard has 33.5” arms.  So does Wanogho.  I think the Eagles will sacrifice an inch or inch and a half in arm length for quickness like Dillard and Driscoll.   I don’t see Driscoll as a starting RT, but rather a swing T and more likely a G.    The measurables closest to Driscoll are Isaac Seumalo, who is also a jackknife.  That is the role I see for Driscoll.  Frankly, I thought he was drafted for when Ike moves to C.  Short are Kelce’s at 32.5” or Luke Juriga at 30 5/8”. (Still an inch longer than A. Q.Shipley, who had a decent career.). BTW, Opeta is similar in measurables to Driscoll and Ike.  Nate Herbig is Brandon Brooks sized but he is slow compared to Brandon.  Phone booth guy compared to a sub 5.0 guy.  Then, if you want monster arms, there is Matt Pryor.  Matt makes Nate look like Usain Bolt.  He struggles with his weight and I think the Eagles thought they could whip him into shape.  They succeeded with Dillard and even Herbig but Matt remains a tub of lard.  Watching clips from camp, I swear I saw Garbage Can outpace him.
