We need another WR even if Fulgham is a solid starter. Waddle or Smith to go along with Reagor and Fulgham would be pretty exciting

Apparently UNC has a team full of Mack hollins at WR.

I want an Alabama player in round 1 in next years draft.  Waddle, Moses or Surtain.

The earliest the Eagles have taken an Alabama player is Round 5 — Freddie Milons, in 2002.  They may have taken one earlier, in the days before the forward pass was a thing.

Can we count Jalen Hurts as an Alabama player?

Interesting that Hurts threw the ball more and ran the ball less in 2016 with Alabama than he did last season at Oklahoma.  I wouldn’t have guessed that.

I have no justification or rationale.

Give me Waddle. He freaking torched my Dawgs secondary all night. Waddle, Reagor, Fulgham, Ward. Wentz weapon cache.

Devonta is a little like Reggie Wayne, I think. He's not going to blow you away with size and speed, but he'll be a very good receiver.

Chase/Waddle

Reagor

Fulgham

Works for me.  The fun thing is you could line those guys up however you feel like as each could play the X, Z and slot to create ideal mismatches.  After that draft all D players except for a C and a late round RB.

Again, I've avoided this place since the game on Sunday. Just wanted to get in a few points about the game.

* Jonathan Vilma is a horrible broadcaster.

* The failure of John Hightower to get out of bounds in the last minute of the first half was massive. He catches the ball near the sideline and can take two steps out of bounds to stop the clock...or he can dive forward to get the first down. Instead he does neither, preferring instead to run sideways and basically get tackled for no gain, which forces the Eagles to have to burn a timeout and then waste a running play to get the first down which he could have had. So of course the Eagles complete a long pass on the final play but can't do anything with it because there's no damn time on the clock.

* We might have something with Jordan Mailata. I'm not saying he played great or anything, but the pass rusher he went up against for the majority of the game is really good. And Mailata was far from embarrassed.

* Travis Fulgham could be good. And I kinda think he will be. It sure would be nice to be on the "good side" of a free agent wide receiver story. It happens every so often that a guy bounces around a bit and then actually emerges. I remember Jimmy Smith being cut by the Cowboys and Eagles and then going on to Jacksonville and turning into a top flight guy. It was always kind of embarrassing as an Eagles fan to have to hear that story any time it was told, that the Eagles had cut him. And I also think about Victor Cruz coming out of nowhere for the Giants to be really good before he got hurt. I gotta say, I'm pretty excited. And before you say, "Well, Paul Turner and Rasheed Bailey and other dudes looked good too", well, there's a difference. That was preseason. And this was the real deal.

* I'm a Notre Dame fan. A couple of years ago I complained in here about the Irish lack of skill position players. They always seem to have a good tight end, but their quarterbacks and running backs are never any good. (And I use the word "never" to mean basically the last twenty years). They sometimes have a good receiver. And two years ago, I noted that there's a young guy that might be something. I was talking about Claypool, although it turns out that Miles Boykin was actually pretty good too. And all this past spring, I kept reading about all these great receiver prospects and I'd wonder why Claypool isn't getting mentioned. Granted, after his stellar combine, he started to appear on "lists" but he was never really included among the top guys. And I'd just shake my head. No, I'm not ****ing about the Eagles taking Reagor ahead of him. I'm just venting that so many people discounted him. Of course I'm disgusted that he torched us so badly in the game. And I'm especially disgusted that at a critical moment in the game, the Eagles put Nathan Gerry on him 1-on-1. Absurd.

* Hated attempting that 57-yard field goal late in the game. That's a pretty iffy kick in general, but that stadium is ridiculously difficult to kick in. Kicks of over fifty yards are almost never made there. It's NOT like kicking in a dome...or in Denver...where long kicks are becoming kinda routine. The odds of a fourth and five conversion HAVE to be higher than Elliott's chance of making that kick. And if you do convert, you're putting yourself in the position of milking more time off the clock, as well as scoring a touchdown rather than a field goal. Just a bad percentage play all around, in my opinion.

* Was really disappointed they lost Toohill to the "Redskins".

* Regarding the current season, I'm still thinking of the old saying that if you're being chased by a bear, you don't need to outrun him, you just need to outrun the other guy. We don't need to beat out teams like the Rams, Packers, Saints, or Seahawks to make the playoffs. All we need to do is finish a half game better than the Cowboys (or Giants or Football Team). And if you're going to argue that, "finishing 8-7-1 and making the playoffs is the WORST thing we can do because it'll screw up our draft, well, the hell with you. I want to make the playoffs. I still think this team, if Goedert, Jackson, Alshon, and Reagor get on the field, can be something. I'm not giving up hope.

* And although I'm not giving up hope, I'm still a realist in that those guys won't be playing tomorrow, so it's going to be a little while before things should improve. So I have to go with @In2football  Eagles 20  Ravens 40.

Zero chance we beat the Ravens tomorrow. Zero. None. It's just not gonna happen. Suicide leauges, pick Baltimore.  Stone cold lock.

Imma go with Eagles 24 Ravens 20 @In2football because you are saying there is a chance.

@In2football

I think the Ravens beat down the Eagles 34-20, garbage time TD makes the game look closer than it is. If the Ravens watch any film at all, they have either Humphrey or Peters shadow Fulgham since Fulgham is the only receiver Wentz wants to throw to beyond 8 yards. Ravens LBs/safeties have the speed and athleticism to match up with Ertz. Eagles defense might be able to hold up in the first quarter, but the avalanche starts in the 2nd after the offense posts consecutive 3 and outs.

Tomorrow is going to be the once a year beatdown we usually get.

Peters stinks, though.  He’s a guesser.  There’s a reasonable chance either Fulgham or Hightower scores a long TD on him tomorrow

Point remains, I put my best CB on Fulgham and shadow. I wouldn't put $10 on Hightower having more than 30 total yards in any game, so I sure am not banking on a long TD from him in this one. Not that he's bad, but the connection with Wentz just isn't there right now.

That’s the thing, watching him he looks the part but looking at measurables he’s everything you don’t want. It will be interesting to see how he translates to the NFL.

I was with you until the end. This team can't compete with the Chiefs and upper echelon teams this year. The offense is a walking MASH unit and the defense has massive holes...esp at DC. Will I root against them? No, but I'm not exactly wanting them to win either. They need a high draft pick and to be sellers at the deadline to hopefully create some cap space for next year. They need to make some meaningful changes I don't see happening if they sneak in again.
