I'm calling it now.  Doug when asked about Lane and Sanders will say some variation of the term, "they're close" with his response.

Or "we'll see where they're at at the end of the week"

I think the pass would have been on time if Reagor had pushed his route even one step more upfield.

Maybe, but that’s just guessing how the route was taught or expected to be ran. We do know that the throw was inside as well, which isn’t great.

Here are the two picks, first one, horribly rounded off route, second one, reached back with hands instead of attacking the football.

The first pick is definitely on Carson. He floated that pass when it should have been on a rope towards the sideline.

The second pick is on the rookie.

It was a bit inside but with a proper route it would have been an incompletion at worst.

I'll go with a combination of the 2 for $1,000 Alex.

Annoying pos. Just come out and say they're out

Doug and Wentz are 14-14 in the last 28 games together. It's a pretty large sample size of mediocrity at this point. Something just isn't working consistently with this duo.

I don't know who needs to change themselves more to make it work, but something's gotta change.

Reagor’s route wasn’t good, but it was enough for a relatively easy completion. Wentz was late and inside.

As for Hightower, Wentz probably shouldn’t have made the throw, but Hightower failed to do WR 101 stuff on that route. Work back to the ball even a little bit and the DB isn’t picking off that pass.

Both picks were poorly placed. If Wentz put it the ball more towards the sideline, only our wide receiver's would be able to make a play on it. Instead he put it on the inside twice and got picked off twice.

This goes back to my point I made last week. Ward is not more talented than a lot of these guys we have at wide receiver. However ward has 3-4 years of nfl experience in terms of training and coaching over those years. That makes a difference. I like our rookie wide receivers, but they don’t have that Tutelage  or Little nuance that make the difference in the nfl game right now. I do believe they will get there eventually. It was always going to be somewhat of a struggle with how the off-season went with Covid and Our rookie wide receivers. You can have talent that doesn’t mean it translates easily onto the field from the moment the season kicks off. I think a lot of fans Took having improved talent at the position meaning just simply better off when the season kicked off

@In2football who won the predictions this week? I had to have been close

I’m not going to whine about DK Metcalf. It seems pretty clear he was pushed down the board due to medicals, but we were reportedly between JJAW and Parris Campbell. Finally healthy, Campbell looked pretty damn good and explosive yesterday. That one is gonna sting.

Yes, god forbid that the receiver make a play on the ball.

Playcalling would really help. Run the fn rpo's, quick passes, motions. Stop with the screens since they're not working due to the fact you're nothing to put the defense on is heels

Not bashing wentz but the argument could be made both he and the wide receivers could’ve done a better job. I think that’s more or less the most true statement on them

Watch that route again.  Rounded off horribly.  Need to come out of that break crisp and be at the spot.

Model of consistency and mental busts? Poor Fran. He’s really having to work hard to sell us on yesterday’s debacle.

Oh and weren't we told that the offense was supposed to look different this year.  Scangarello's input was supposed to have a little Kyle Shannahan type flair to it?  With Reagor and Jackson you have the opportunity to get some creative motion plays and build a running game off of them.  You know, Shannahan-like.  I saw nothing of that.

It was more flashback to Andy/Mcnabb days

Even so the ball needs to be on a rope to the sideline, not floated inside even a little.

And that is how you throw a QB under the bus.

When is Dougs presser

For a team that lacks young playmakers, another year of getting nothing from your 2nd and 3rd round picks doesn’t make a lot of sense.

I am hundred percent agree with this. You’re telling me you just got all these new speedy wide receivers and you couldn’t figure out to somehow try to get the ball in their hands maybe as runners. Last year the 49ers were getting the ball into deebo Samuels hands anyway they could. That was not just passing the ball. they were using him in motion and getting him hand offs. that’s why when I see oh well the running game is not working. Well yeah with the running back but you didn’t even try to get the ball into your speedy wide receivers hands like the 49ers tend to do. And you boasted that you wanted to be more like that this offseason in terms of creativity

I hate to say it but it feels like the last two seasons since the Super Bowl it has taken the Eagles until the end of November to have the lightbulb moment go off where they say you know what we need to get more creative with this offense Or change things up. And then start doing more creative stuff. I get you didn’t have the ideal offensive line yesterday to be as creative as you like but this goes back to the last two years. I screamed last year to get Greg Ward on some trick plays to give you some instant offense with a offense that didn’t have great playmakers which needed some big plays from time to time or some instant juice. They refused to do it ( which is why I thought it was laughable that people just assumed Jalen hurts would have a package of those plays early as a rookie—ward was with us for basically 3 seasons as PS and then active roster and they didn’t). We are now going on the third year since the super bowl and it feels like the same thing happening again

Even if I didn’t like the value, if they think Taylor is Deion Jones-like upside it’s fine to have to wait on him.

Hurts... yeah... I got nothin.
