It also forces you to go for 2 when you don’t make it. Which means if you score twice you still can lose.

if you kick the XP you can still Win or Be ahead by going for 2 on second TD.

No it's not dependent on your offense.  The math is totally clear you should go for 2 every time when down 8 (or 11) after scoring a TD.

I'm watching with friends and asked why we even bother with play action.  Someone answered that it gives the D more time to get into the backfield.  Then we follow with a slow developing screen.
