I am hundred percent agree with us. You’re telling me you just got all these new speedy wide receivers and you couldn’t figure out to somehow try to get the ball in their hands maybe as runners. Last year the 49ers for getting the ball into deebo Samuels hands anyway they could. That was not just passing the ball. they were using him in motion and getting him hand offs. that’s why when I see oh well the running game is working. Well yeah with the running back but you didn’t even try to get the ball into your speedy wide receivers hands like the 49ers tend to do. And you boasted that you wanted to be more like that this offseason I’m terms of creativity

I hate to say it but it feels like the last two seasons since the Super Bowl it has taken the Eagles until the end of November to have the lightbulb moment go off where they say you know what we need to get more creative with this offense Or change things up. And then start doing more creative stuff. I get you didn’t have the ideal offensive line yesterday to be as creative as you like but this goes back to the last two years. I screamed last year to get Greg Ward on some trick plays to give you some instant offense with a offense that didn’t have great playmakers which needed some big plays from time to time or some instant juice. They refused to do it ( which is why I thought it was laughable that people just assumed Jalen hurts would have a package of those plays early as a rookie—ward was with us for basically 3 seasons as PS and then active roster and they didn’t). We are now going on the third year since the super bowl and it feels like the same thing happening again

No jet sweeps or screens to Reagor was baffling. Darby isn’t a great tackler. Make him tackle.

Bash away.  Both balls needed to be closer to the sideline.  I am not buying this BS that the WR didn't come back to the ball more and/or their break wasn't sharp enough.  It's a good thing their breaks weren't sharper because the ball would have been 5 yards behind them, instead of 2.

Wentz definitely needed the ball closer to the sideline. I thought that when i first saw it live then again going back and watching it over after the game was over. However the two rookie wide receivers did not run particularly great routes either. Which is also a problem when you don’t have any preseason or mini camps or OTA’s so they are behind where they likely could be. So you have to rely on your quarterback I be better on his throw to them. And he had poor placement on top of poor routes

I have to shoulder some of the blame for the loss yesterday.  I was recovering from screwball Saturday night and was not 100% on Sunday.  I have to put myself in a better position to cheer and yell.  I’m obviously past my prime and need to prepare better for Gameday.  It’s all things that are fixable.

I do too.  For my birthday last year schmoopie got me a M&N Dawkins Jersey.  Here are the 3 times I wore it

I'm calling it now.  Doug when asked about Lane and Sanders will say some variation of the term, "they're close" with his response.

well that's about as hot a take as predicting Reid saying "I need to do a better job with that" after a loss.

How about a slant.

I’m not going to whine about DK Metcalf. It seems pretty clear he was pushed down the board due to medicals, but we were reportedly between JJAW and Parris Campbell. Finally healthy, Campbell looked pretty damn good and explosive yesterday. That one is gonna sting.

Do we even know that JJAW was bad yesterday? He got 0 targets. Was it because he ran bad routes again? Or does Wentz just not look at him? I dont think we can determine what the problem is there.

I felt this way last year and it’s so infuriating and frustrating m. It seems like the Eagles since that Super Bowl continuously just aren’t creative or know how to effectively use their personnel until gets December Hits. And then in December the lightbulb moment goes off on how do use the players they have and then they get better with their creativity. It should not take us 3 months to understand who our personnel is and how to effectively use them. This is becoming a bad habit. it is repetitive. It is the definition of insanity. this feels like now the third season we are going into where we have yet to discover how to use our personnel properly. There’s been changes so it’s got to be on the person who has consistently been there.

I like it! Or maybe play him more than 60 percent of the snaps too.

Good breakdown from Barret Brooks of all people on all 8 sacks.  Watching this makes me a bit envious of Del Rio's play calling and the D-line talent Washington has.  I miss the days of an Eagles defense just causing havoc on the line and in the backfield.  Seems like forever since we've had that go in our favor.

I think we have enough evidence to make an educated guess at this point.

I would love to see the snap count because it felt like every wide receiver was getting more snaps than Jjaw

The slack you're willing to give JJAW, compared to the amount you gave Barnett, is quite... interesting.

Oh and weren't we told that the offense was supposed to look different this year.  Scangarello's input was supposed to have a little Kyle Shannahan type flair to it?  With Reagor and Jackson you have the opportunity to get some creative motion plays and build a running game off of them.  You know, Shannahan-like.  I saw nothing of that.

Is Doug even acknowledging Scangarello opinions when game planning?

Didn't realize we ran that many plays out of 11. We should stop doing that given the current state of our OL.

I know Wentz was looking a JJAW before he threw it to Ertz. Maybe he doesn't trust him

Ertz was more open.  JJ had a defender on his back.

Hightower and JJAW getting that many snaps is also dumb. Poor decision making all around.

I noticed that on the replay. Ertz was wide open pretty much
