The Giants DL is better than the Ravens DL. Carson will get hit a lot.

Drop? That wasn’t a drop. It would have been a great catch.

I don’t agree.

No we’re not. It changes the complexity of the final two minutes. Baltimore has to try to get a first down, which means maybe Jackson, who has struggled, possibly throws incomplete and gives us a lot of time. We could have gotten the ball in decent field position with like a minute or more left. Instead the game was over as soon as the two-pointer failed.

And we're not in it at all if we don't score the t.d. it was a change up and worth a shot imo

I have zero problem going for it on fourth down. We ended up getting the stop and getting a FG attempt anyway.

We did.  50+ yards.

I had an issue with it, but understood it.  But, it was chasing points... and then ended up chasing them the rest of the game.  Like I said, the shame is the big hole they dug for themselves. Spotting a good defensive team 17 is a tough hole to get out of.    This team does show no quit though.  And that is something I am glad to see.  They had every excuse to pack it in after 17-0 at halftime.  The defense could have given up points on the next drive, and the game would have been over just then.

Why jinx things?

Not a jinx. They are gonna win no doubt in my mind. It’s a lock.

It had a very low probability of scoring. That’s the entire issue. The 18 seconds more important than 8 yards.

I’ll go back and look again.

I don't understand.  The ball hit him in the hands, he didn't hold on, therefore a drop.  It would have a been a tough, nice catch but it's a drop.

Sure.  Why invoke Foles though?  Was Foles the only QB to ever be scrappy?   No.   Has Wentz ever not been that guy?  No.  So, don't add extra to it.   Wentz balled and put his body on the line constantly... AGAIN, that same thing that he gets criticism for due to his past injuries.  But, when he plays like that, he's playing his best.  When he's playing and thinking about protecting himself, is when he plays worse.

It's the first person that came to mind as a QB. I could say Lane Johnson, Chris Long, McNabb, whatever.  You are seeing a negative that is not there.  A physically aggressive Wentz is good to see

fitz magic is up on the jets , gase might be gone this monday LOL

Nope, this was 100% a moral victory.  Team is absolutely crippled and had no business even being in the game.

Weak. Losing is losing.

I've almost always seen a physically aggressive Wentz, and frankly, never saw a 'physically' aggressive Foles.  But ok.

First of all, nice to see you all again.

Were you on the old EMB when the shutdown took place on April 30th? Or did you discover it after the fact?

I honestly have more issue with not going for the field goal in the first half.

I just looked at it again. It was a super tough catch. He was partly laid out. Definitely catchable though. We can check when the stats come out. Not conclusive either way when I watch it again as to whether it is a drop or not.

Doug is going to go for it on fourth and one nearly every time. I never thought for a second about going for it.

We didn’t get it. It happens even on high-probability plays. We still got a FF try, even a long one. Elliot makes more than he misses career wise.

looks like the team is picking #9 now.

The defense this season has been situationally carved up by Dwayne Haskins, CJ Beathard, and Joe Burrow. Lamar beats people on the ground, that's just what he does so I had limited to no expectations on them stopping him there.

This is really a brutal unit that is consistently giving up ~30 points a week, not creating turnovers, and not making key, situational stops when it calls for.

I thought they were tanking this year.

One thing is clear to me this year, and it's that Doug can coach. He keeps the team competitive even when he's without 90% of his players on offense. He isn't perfect, but he never wavers.

Just because you manage to get your hands on the ball doesn’t make it a "drop”. If you lay out but can’t hang on it isn’t a drop. If it gets deflected right into you at the last second and you can’t hold on it isn’t a "drop”. Etc

Beathard was in prevent time

Not every play will work, and he's working with scrubs.

FYP

Worst call Doug had made this year.

It worked so well with Hurts the first time he  figure we’d try it without blocking.
