Sounds like Russell Wilson. Doesnt seem like a problem for him.

That’s a valid counter point.  Russel Wilson never played a refined/advanced brand of the qb position.  He was coached to tuck and run after 1-2 reads and to play a broken style of offense.

And he flipped the switch nicely.  I would argue that he never got pummeled like this and never participated in an offense this dysfunctional though.

Howie turning a blind eye to the backup RBs (among many other things) is hurting us. All because Boston Scott made a couple plays in space last year. Crappy evaluation of our own RBs, IMO.

Howie getting emotional. They kept bringing back Sproles and they brought back Peters

I think he's had legitimate weapons to throw to. Plus they had Lynch to lean on for years

Sanders knee is not likely an ACL. If it was he wouldn’t have been walking around on the sideline. Probably MCL or bone bruise.

For years since Lynch theyve had no running game.

They also let Tate go. The other really good WR they had got his career ended by injury (blanked on his name). For a few years now his best option has been a 3rd rounder from Kansas state who is only a deep ball specialist.

They just got lucky that no team drafted DK so now they have another weapon.

But for years, hes had a poor OL, no running game, injury prone RBs, and no name WRs like the Moore guy who worked at footlocker and routinely came down with contested jump balls on broken plays for Wilson. The ONLY way their offense functions is by him running for life and throwing prayers that his 2nd rate WRs always seem to haul in.

Thats not necessarily true at all.

But, I hope youre right.

I think it at least says the Eagles don’t think it’s a torn ACL. Doesn’t mean that isn’t what the injury is. They wouldn’t let him walk around if they thought it was.

The Rams should count as the NFC East winner this year. They're 4-1 with all wins coming against our division.

dont forget, theyve let Ajayi back in to a game to continue playing with a torn ACL. And we have seen guys with ruptured achillies on our team, and others like Richard Sherman stay out on the sidelines.

My expectations from any WR is to run good routes, use a multitude of feints, change of pace etc. to get and stay open, catch the ball, be field aware and get YAC.  Speed to stretch the field is a bonus but I also don’t overlook DeAndre Hopkins 4.57 forty, Jerry Rice’s 4.71, Larry Fitzgerald’s 4.63, Michael Irvin’s 4.52, and Michael Thomas’ 4.57.  Greg Ward, coming off an ankle sprain reinjury that he played through all season, ran a 4.58 at his pro day. He ran sub 4.5 at UH so he is plenty fast enough and he is quick.  Biggest knock on him is his height.  Fulgham ran a 4.58 but shows real quickness in his shuttle and three cone.  Both were green WRs but they get open, catch the ball, show field awareness and get YAC when available.

When has Ward ever gotten YAC or gotten open beyond six yards aside from perfectly called plays or coverage busts? He should not be a starting slot based on what he’s shown.

Fulgham has strung together two decent games sandwiched around a great game. I have more optimism that he’s a useful player, but not necessarily a starter for a good offense.

People in here set the bar way too low. Do we want to have a great offense or do we want to be average?

I think Scott would look better if he ever had a play blocked properly for him. We can’t run block at all.

I'd kill for average right now. Wentz prays for an average cast around him.

I think it's the strength and conditioning staff that needs to go

I agree, that’s what it has to be. They’ve tried different medical staffs, but I don’t think they’re the ones responsible for preventing injury. That’s on the strength and conditioning staff. I’ve been wondering for a while if they’re too easy on the players because they’re worried about injuries. But because of that approach, they have all the injuries.

Eagles lead all teams in injuries this week. What a complete joke. This can’t be just bad luck 4 years in a row.

Yup.  Lots of players with ACLs have walked off the field.  Wentz, notably in 2017.  Cunningham in 1991.  And plenty of others.

Wentz was walking around after the game in which he tore his ACL and it was already suspected.

I want to fix the OL first, and then add 'better' weapons at WR.  Fulgham looks like he belongs in the NFL, which is more than I can say about Brown or even Pryor.

Slot WR is an easier fix than "X", imo.  So, pick up a slot in the draft in the mid-rounds, they are always available.  Not always great ones, but serviceable ones... better than Ward.

Couldn’t catch the game as I’m camping. How bad did Miles look? Walk off on own power?

He wasn’t hanging out on the bench though yucking it up with his teammates.

I always laugh whenever people bring up how they should fire the medical staff or change it again, which they have three straight years now and are still having the same issues even at a worse degree this year. I mean what the hell does a medical staff have anything to do with a guy like DeSean tweaking his hamstring, Brooks blowing out his achilles, or Reagor messing up his thumb? Their jobs are to diagnose and treat, not necessarily prevent injuries. Your strength and conditioning team has much more of an influence on the injury prevention part of the game than your medical staff does.

its not,  it is partly because year in year out the eagles hope that old oft injured players will get healthy and stay healthy.

guys like Djax, Alshon, Peters.

Well something is going on. The field? The S&C team? This amount of injuries year after year is not normal.

I can't watch the Rams in these uniforms.  Unwatchable.

So just a reminder of injured this offense is right now:

Brooks, Dillard, Peters, Seaumalo, Johnson, Pryor, Driscoll

Ertz, Goedert

Sanders

Alshon, Djax,Reagor

Name me another team that is even close tp this.  Some guy named Croom caught a td pass today - i jad never even heard of him, Toth? playing RT? lol

I’m good with focusing on the OL as well. We still have what I believe is a quality prospect with Dillard. Mailata is developing nicely. Lane and Brooks are here for awhile. As is Seumalo.

We need a center/guard prospect. I think Herbig and Driscoll will be fine as backups.

But I’m not gonna sit here and say we’re good at WR because Fulgham has had three decent games and Ward continues to be a dependable JAG given the easiest job on offense. I want a vertical weapon in the slot. Or at least someone who can do something beyond six yards. Maybe that’s actually Fulgham.
