The only good reason to play Alshon and DeSean is to pump and dump.  Show they are healthy (lol) and can produce, then ship them to a contender for whatever we can get by the deadline.

Not sure anybody wants alshons horrendous contract and deseans isn't much better.

This is pretty awesome. Great heads up coaching from Vrabel.

Exploiting the rules. Was genius On their end. I saw that live and was like why isn’t the clock running cause i thought it would run after that penalty.

Nevertheless he almost got burned on just letting them score a touchdown because Romeo went for two point conversion and the win.

But the Titans offense is unbelievably good Even when Lewan left the game with an acl. However their defense when they only have a week to prepare has been atrocious. Against Denver and bills with 2+ weeks to prepare 15 ppg. When only a week gave up 30 vs. jags, 30 vs. vikings and 36 vs. texans. Three of the worst teams on the league.

No team would offer a 1st for Sanders.

I actually think Josh Sweat is the only player on the entire roster who could be traded for a higher value than his original draft status.

I'd consider a 2nd and a 4th also.  It's simple.  If we're not going to give him a massive contract then we need to take offers.

Don't know where the buyers/sellers discussion went here, but would you be upset if they traded for a decent linebacker before the deadline?

Yes.  The currently injured players are not out for the REST OF THE season.  BUT THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE NOW.  That means injuries have impacted the entire season so far.

Try again.

No, most teams are starting/playing their 9-11 OL, their third TE, their 4-7 receivers, their backup RB. This is all very normal. The Eagles are actually lucky that only two of their starting OL are done for the year and a third for a significant portion of it.

I'm sure that's true right now.  If they come back and put up some numbers for a couple weeks, maybe we get a bite.

Hightower looks very promising with his ability to get open consistently, including deep.  We need to give him as many reps as possible this year to get through the rookie jitters.

Best case we go into next year confident in Reagor, Fulgham, and Hightower as our top 3 WRs, and therefore don't need to force picks at the position.

Yup I'm fine with hightower getting reps, JJaw sucks. I think if when desean comes back if anything decrease wards reps. Desean hightower and fulgham could give defenses some problems ward could be used as the 4th WR

This is some serious mental gymnastics.

I was going to just post this... could also use 12 personnel with 2 TEs. I’m assuming whoever made it had desean, jeffery and reagor as the three receivers

Not great for Hargrave making $13 million a year. He's been outplayed by Ridgeway this season so far.

If its a veteran stopgap then absolutely.  If its a young guy on a good contract then YOLO.

I love Miles Sanders talent and ability when on the field but there should’ve been questions last year. I feel like he left three or four games early last year due to injuries that weren’t really serious but they were nagging type of injuries. At this point I think we could say we need a competent back up or even a 1A/1B situation as he is leaving games early

Back up RB is almost as important as back up QB.  I think the team thought Scott would play better than he has.  They have also not gotten much out of Clement.  I think the question is whether it's worth it to invest a top 100 pick.  I don't think that would make sense. I do think they need to add talent at the position.

I don't know what we can get for Sanders, but we'll get far more this offseason when he has 2 years left, then next year when he'll only have 1 year left and will be holding out for a huge new contract.

Obviously if the offer isn't enough (1st?) then we can always keep him.

I would be super shocked if anybody gave up a first round pick. I would be surprised if anybody in the NFL gave up a first round pick for a running back anymore. Like the only player I think in the NFL a team would give up a first round pick for at the running back position is maybe Christian McCaffrey or Alvin Kamara. And I don’t even think Alvin Kamara even though he’s been sensational this year

Best coach off the Belichick tree. Wish our coaches had the smarts

not great but hopefully he keeps improving

What?

Wentz was pressured literally half of the time he tried to pass and almost none of it was on Mailata.

I'd say that's pretty good.

I want to say it doesn’t make sense depending on how the board falls. Like at 53 last year JK Dobbins may have been the best player on the board at that time. Did we need a running back? Probably not but if he’s such a good talent that you can’t pass him up then take them. Running backs have a short shelflife anyways and there’s a good chance Sanders is going to be hurt at some point along the season. If I can have two running back’s like Andy Reid’s doing or what Cleveland’s doing then go do it. Would I prefer other positions? Obviously but I do not think the Eagles are in a position to just pass up better talent to go in another direction especially that could wind up being a Kareem hunt and Nick Chubb backfield. And that’s a lot for me to say because I was adamantly against taking a running back in the second round in the previous draft.

If we could move one of Alshon, DeSean or Ertz for a decent linebacker, on a rookie deal with at least a year and a half left I would do it in a second.

Doug's play calling has been bad. I doubt it would help. That 2nd half of yesterday's game was his best all season

I don’t know I give Tennessee a ton credit for making Tannehill play as great as he is. I never saw him being a top 10 quarterback. If you look at his stats since he started last year they are as good as Patrick Mahomes (image doesn’t include yesterday’s stats)

I'd like to see both Jeffery and Ertz traded before the deadline. Cut Djax in the offseason

If Jackson played,  he scores on that first Hightower bomb.

If Sanders makes a routine catch on the end zone...

We were that close to blowing out a good ravens team by like 14 points.

Watch out when we get just a few injured players back.

Really hard to judge RB play behind the OL we're running out there each week.  Other than his big runs, Sanders has struggled as well.  And that's why back ups are back ups.  They'll get the blocked yards and not much else.  IMO, there aren't many blocked yards this season.

He's put up 29 & 28 against two of the top five defenses in the league with a revolving door of personnel.

Yes, we can all point out a half dozen plays that didn't work out.  But what about all the ones that did?  And how can you be sure the problem was execution and not the play call.
