Bradley and Taylor had more snaps - 32 for Bradley and 11 for Taylor. Progress. Taylor blew a coverage that I saw. Otherwise, I don't think either guy disgraced himself. Promising. I don't see the LBs as a wasteland going forward.

FWIW Bradley has a really high PFF grade. I know those grades are somewhat suspect, but it is somewhat telling that Gerry's grade is 42, and collectively the guys next to him are 20 points higher.

I think you can add Driscoll and potentially Wallace to the list depending on how bad their injuries are.  Many of us on here talked about the aging roster positions that no one was talking about.  O-line specifically.  If we come away from this season with answers potentially at LT(Mailata), LG (Driscoll), C (Seumalo), RG(Herbig) then that is huge moving forward.  We could be looking at the O-line for the next 5-7 years.

I want to see Fulgham come back this week against the Giants and have a full 60 minute impact again.  To me it seemed he padded his stats in the 2nd half but he still made plays.  I want to see Hightower become more consistent and stop making mistakes.  What do we have in Watkins?

This week is going to be all about passing.  With the banged up line blocking for Scott and Clement this is going to be a Carson Wentz game.  HIs WR need to come ready to play...especially with no Ertz or Goedert.

Still a lot of holes on this team.  There is no young corner waiting to take over.  The safety depth is still garbage.  We know about LB.  Who is the 4th DT with Jackson out?

I don’t think the safety depth is garbage. I think a lot of teams would love to have Wallace as their fourth safety. Epps has no business starting, but for a fifth safety he isn’t bad.

It was literally every reporters’ opinion. There was no agenda against Mailata. If anything, reporters root for the best stories, and Mailata being good is a helluva story.

The most likely scenario is that Mailata did stink in camp. The Eagles’ actions confirm as much.

Somebody posted it awhile ago, that in practice Mailata is likely working on technique, and thinking a lot. In games, it's more on his instinct and athleticism, and less "thinking". I think that's the most likely scenario of how TC played out.

I'm looking at next year.  Rodney will be 31 and IMO he is a slightly above average safety.  I'd jump at the chance to upgrade him.  Mills unless he turns it around should be gone.  Parks is on a 1-year deal and we don't know what he can really do yet.  So that leaves you with Wallace.

McLeod and Wallace next year.

Right. He’s better in games than practice, but it’s hard to put that kind of player into a game until it’s an emergency.

Agreed there. Really wish we drafted Ashtyn Davis.

Would have loved Jeremy Chinn.  The guy I really wanted was Antoine Winfield Jr.

The #Dolphins have named Rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa their starting QB!

Really happy for Tua. He deserves it

They must think they can win now with him . 3-3 in contention in their div.

Interesting timing to switch to Tua, but my best guess is the Dolphins want to find out what they have in Tua because that 2021 Texans 1st-round pick could get very interesting if it ends up inside of the top 5.

Maybe Dallas called Miami and wants to trade for Fitz....

Flores might be the most underrated HC in the league. I think he's really fantastic.

I wonder too if they feel like they need to see him play since there are some nice QB prospects next year. The Texans should win a few games to keep them out of the Lawrence sweepstakes, but if that pick somehow turned into No. 1 overall they would have a big-time decision on their hands.

Am I the only one who thinks Tua is highly overrated?

We released young Corners with ability so Schwartz can keep Craig James or whatever the Heck his name is.

Or Cleveland...

We cut Douglas because we want to play mostly man defense. He didn’t fit.

Jones got himself cut. He couldn’t be trusted.

Which corners were that? Rasul didn't fit in the scheme, never did, never should have been drafted by us. Who else?

I saw a tweet that Douglas has played 34 man coverage snaps this year in Carolina.

Could be that too, I think these next two drafts will be loaded with QBs.

Personally this year I like Wilson the best..and I'm probably a bigger Morgan fan than most.

Next year slovis and Howell

Douglas had 3 or 4 pass breakups this past week.

Kinda feels like the Dolphins plan was always going to be switch to Tua during the bye, regardless of record. I also wouldn't trade Fitzpatrick unless Cowboys or someone else made it too sweet to say no. He's the perfect guy to keep around to mentor the rook.

Hmm, who thought we should have signed Dalton instead of drafting Hurts?

At least Hurts would give you a fighter's chance if he has to play QB.

Dalton is a smart, veteran QB who is about 2 years past being able to start in the NFL, he's now officially a "Detmer."
