Am I the only one who thinks Tua is highly overrated?

Yes because we haven’t even seen what he can do yet

Why do you say that? You think Lane is going to be injured more often than not going forwards?

Yes.

Hmm, who thought we should have signed Dalton instead of drafting Hurts?

At least Hurts would give you a fighter's chance if he has to play QB.

Dalton is a smart, veteran QB who is about 2 years past being able to start in the NFL, he's now officially a "Detmer."

I would take Dalton at his salary over Hurts in round 2 every day of the week. I bet 31 teams would agree too.

Howie was honest with us, he said he was collecting draft picks for a youth movement, and viola!

His big mistake was nostalgia for 2017, and extended and held on to a number of veterans past their expiration dates, and tried to patch another run together, almost worked for two years (we probably beat Seattle without the cheap hit) but we're going to pay the price the next two years until the cap is cleared.

Another offseason like the last one and this team will have the young, fast players it needs. But that also means growing pains.

I'm going back to Bama and where he was drafted in the 1st.  The offense at Bama is ridiculous.  The weapons to throw to, hand off to and the play calling.  He aired it out some but so many of his passes were in the flat or quick slants letting Ruggs, Jeudy, Waddle and Smith do the work.  He seems like a great dude.  Fought back from a horrible injury.  I just don't see next level QB in him.  I see an average starter in the NFL.

Not if you actually have to play him. We saw McCown last year, and numerous scrub veteran backups over the years.

They can win one or two games, but if you have to use them for an extended period, write the season off.

Hurts may not be able to start this year, but by next year he can "athlete" a team for a stretch - it's just a lot easier to defend a noodle arm QB with limited mobility.

After watching Murray, Arizona got the wrong Oklahoma QB.

I propose the Eagles moving Peters to LT and handing him more money to do it says EVERYTHING we need to know about Mailata’s camp performance.

Mailata is the perfect example of a player screwed by no exhibition games - the primary purpose of pre-season games is to give inexperienced players game reps (and get starters ready for the season), that's how they learn.

I don't think they expected JP to last 16 games at LT, they just didn't want to rush Mailata in there with no contingency plan.

I always felt at some point the light would go on, you could see him improve from exhibition game to exhibition game last fall, had he played those games this pre-season, I doubt they even look at JP at LT.

We cut Douglas because we want to play mostly man defense. He didn’t fit.

Jones got himself cut. He couldn’t be trusted.

I understand he wasn’t a picture of health but who on our team is? A young talent isn’t worth keeping instead of JAG?

And quite honestly maybe it’s time to adjust our system since no CB ever looks good in it.

Why do you think that it would matter at this point? Wouldn't you rather have 1 more playmaker for Wentz?

Is that the first time you’ve watched Murray? You’re talking crazy right now.

Speaking of McCown. That signing looks dumb. If you're going to sign him do it as a coach

I agree with this 100 percent.

Jones is the one I wish had worked out or that we could have kept, but I understand why they moved on. Jones was the problem, not the scheme or the coaching staff.

And Schwartz is adjusting his scheme. Over the past year-plus we’ve been a predominantly man cover team.

Just being funny. Though I think Hurts ran the Oklahoma offense just about as well, he made major strides from his Bama days.

Oklahoma is a hard school to judge offensive talent b/c it's such a wide open scheme in a defensively deficient conference.

I think Murray and Kingsbury are just the perfect match of coach and QB. Much like Payton and Brees, though with different skill sets.

Would have loved Jeremy Chinn.  The guy I really wanted was Antoine Winfield Jr.

You and I should be friends. That was my exact thinking as well. I had Winnie, Delpit, and Chinn, and it just didn't work out. I was happy to get K'von as a consolation prize, he really fits this city.

This is all speculation as we have seen very little of what Hurts can do. A handful of snaps is not equivalent to starting a few games.

I was dubious of Murray winning OROY last season, but I watched him very little so I didn't think much on it.

Watching him last night I have to say it's really nice he can run, but NFL defenses will shut that down and, at his size, he won't last long the more he does it.  The bigger problem is that his passing was atrocious last night against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL.  He's got to be a lot better passing than that normally, I assume?

Yea. Our explosive offensive weapon at Gunner.

Not a huge surprise. Logan Ryan plays inside and out but he made his name in the slot. He is most comfortable covering those inside guys and roaming the middle of the field. I am sure during prep for this weeks game he has had to scout our TE's. Rodgers is a non factor in the receiving game and Ertz and Goedert are out. That leaves Butler.

I dont understand the Browns, I guess this just shows how important good coaching is. They have crazy talent across both sides of the ball and still cant put a complete team together.

What's there to scout? He just played his 1st NFL game ever and didn't get a single offensive snap
