😂 Never will play again in an Eagles game, but can use him for practice as a warm body.

The way he was running into and being thrown into teammates I’m not sure that’s a great decision.

This he couldn't be any worse than scott and Clement have been

Watching these Mailata breakdowns, hes showing flashes of... dare I say, JP pre -35 years old.   I mean, consistency still needs to be there, but there are massive flashes... those punches that lead to instant pancakes are unreal.  Same with the pancake where he collapsed the entire side of the DL.  Good to see hik bring some fire.  His smash and subsequent rethrow down of the Raven on the fumble by Wentz might be my favorite play by him.  Really shows that he can play with a nasty edge to his game, and as he gets more comfortable with his assignments we might see much more of that.  And maybe he lines up in the backfield and takes a handoff Thursday night... they are short on RBs.  :P

This was also said about Jamon Brown last week as well and .... well you know how it turned out.

To no ones surprise Calais Campbell was  named DPOW.

For the record I would rather have seen opeta

I just want to reiterate how rare Mailata's story is. A 7th rounder who never played football in his life is dominating his matchups against the #1 defense in the league.

Question for the blog. Where do you think Mailata would go in this upcoming draft? His punch and size should vault him way up the draft.

I would say 2nd round based his tape so far and his size. Maybe late 1st. Lane says he is a freak.

Yup, and it's not like he was blocking a bunch of scrubs, he sat All Pro Calais Campbell down

I think he'd easily go 1st round. Guys his size aren't supposed to move like him

Not trying to get hyped but if we landed a legit left tackle in the 7th round.

He might end up being a monster. I thought he had no shot too. Especially with Dillard.

So did Dillard get Trent Greened?

I think so. I don't think he could play guard.

Yup, interesting what the do going forward, dillard obviously can't play RT but does one sit a 1st round pick.??

If anything could trade Lane and put Mailata at RT and Dillard at LT.

Or maybe they just trade dillard next year and eat the pick?

Waste of a PS roster spot

Why?  Just why?  He needs to get a job as a turnstyle somewhere...  I hear Walt Disney World is open again, they could use an experienced turnstyle.

Joe Ostman has to beat up on somebody in practice. Can't risk injuring our LT

Dillard is likely the starter when he's healthy. They aren't going to give up on that 1st rounder that quickly. Look how long it's taken them to let go of other 1st and 2nd rounders

Probably could get a 2nd for Dillard. 2 years on the rookie deal, plus the option for the last year. Don't know what the 2021 draft is looking like, but it might enable them to grab a highly ranked C.

Mailata has to stay at LT.  They've done it, turned Mercury into Gold.  That spot is set.  Don't mess with the alchemy.

After the game tomorrow, ask yourself if you would rather have our LT or their LT. That's your answer on where he would go in the draft.

Mailata has shown to be better why sit him down? It's not like starting dillard gives the teams a head up.

Rumors were they were trying to trade him this off-season,after seeing Mailata and can't imagine there are too many decision makers pushing for dillard other than the bean counter who drafted him☹️

I think you could get a decent return on Dillard if you move him. Not what you spent on him, but something salvaged enough.

Their LT got benched so that's an easy question.
