Lamar Jackson looks like a terrible QB. But he wins and is successful so it doesn't matter.

Jordan Mailata can look like an objectively bad OT, but he's winning at his assignment and proving successful so it doesn't matter.

This isn't that hard of a thing to grasp.

Haven’t watched the jets enough to know how he’s specifically looked. Guessing not great cause it’s the jets. But if you could have gotten him for a good price I’d have rather gone that route instead of hargrave. Obviously hindsight now.

Not sure why jets would want to trade quinnenn williams, guy is only 22 and is one of their only good players on D.

Unless it has something to do with his legal troubles???

joe douglas was Not there when he was drafted so naybe he’s not his guy Or as high on him so he might not like him and can move him to get picks to bring in guys he loves and likes. Could also be douglas knows the jets need as many picks as possible and rather than him being there another two years and not wanting to extend there he can get good value to help in their rebuild. Could also see it as douglas just doing part of his job seeing if the value he gets is better than keeping him

There's about 150 WRs I'd take over him... maybe 250.  I want no part in him.  Not now, not ever.

OBJ or ...........................................JJAW.  LOL J/K

The only thing that brings me solace this year is the fact that Minnesota and Dallas are absolutely pooping the bed.

FWIW. Don't shoot the messenger.

Frankly... JJAW.  OBJ wouldn't have been 60 yards downfield blocking to jump on that fumble.   I have a very low tolerance for selfish athletes.

Get OBJ in here now pls, the same people that don’t want OBJ didn’t want Bell and now look.  No back up to Sanders and no Sanders. Sure could use a Bell now.

Things getting Even better now for the vikings

Ummm if leveon bell came to the eagles on the contract the chiefs got him for id take him. However for what the jets paid for him no thanks.

Mailata's splash plays are incredible, but he's inconsistent. If you're evaluating technique, and not results, you're going to be disappointed in him. He's so big/strong/fast that he'll block guys without doing it "correctly". So it depends what you're looking for.

Results. Results are what matter most. Always

Whatever decision they make we can rest easily knowing that, in the long term, it will inevitably be the wrong one.

I wondered what happened to me. He was injured every year in his first 4 years

He hasn't really done anything

Minnesota extending Cousins is still incredible. He has a 31M cap hit in 2021 and he would have a 41M dead money charge if cut.

Bringing in talented turds doesn't make the team better in the long run.  You might get an initial boost (see also, TO 2004), but then the true character comes out and you are worse off than you were before (see also, Eagles 2005-2009).

If ones goal is to collect draft picks then trade him. If ones goal is to build a team then trading a 22 year old starter one spent a 1st round pick on a year after drafted for a 2nd round pick doesn't seem a good move

This idea that GMs don't want players they didn't draft has always been confusing to me, one doesn't merely get rid of good players because they aren't, " your guys" good organizations take what they have and build on it meanwhile horrible organizations like the jets mire in mediocrity year after year.

Seems directionally correct.

You could rename the periods, though.

  •   Before Fulgham: 47.3 (31st)
  •   After Fulgham: 76.6 (9th)

I still can’t get over the atrocious play call on the 2 point conversion. Wentz would have been better saying "get open” and picked the matchup he liked

OK.  Some facts...

The play call was for a pass with a check to the zone-read.  You could see that Baltimore had a light box, with Fort out covering the slot receiver closest to the formation on the left.  You then heard Wentz call out "Alert", meaning that based on the box count, he checked to the run.  That is what he is coached to do.

However, after the snap, Fort did not cover the slot receiver.  He rushed the backfield and blew up the play.  Credit the Ravens for making a play on defense.

Bah PFF is only right when it supports the points I want to make.

Today is an easy win. Put the house dog and kids on an Eagles victory. Guaranteed in the bag. Giants have 0 chance of winning this game.

I am pretty sure Rodgers was supposed to block Fort. If he wasn't, then it was dumb to design a play like that since, as long as he blocks him a little bit, Wentz could walk into the end zone.

You cannot justify any play that involves Scott running between the tackles in that scenario. They have to be better.
