Any 12 personnel snaps is a waste IMO. 11, 10 and 20 is the way to go.

Looking ahead.  If Mailata turns in the LT of the future, and the line works out the way I envision, next year we start

Mailati, Opeta, Kelce ( Seumalo if Kelce retires ) Brooks and Johnson.

What do we do with Dillard.  Would you trade him or transition him to right tackle to prepare for moving on from Lane Johnson ??

Just curious why Opeta over Herbig? We haven't seen Opeta yet and Herbig is proving to at least be serviceable.  It he can lose that baby fat and not look like Billy Bob from Varsity Blues I think he could be a pretty good LG/RG.

Interesting.  So guys on season ending IR can be traded ???

Does anyone think we will see a lot of Hurts tonight? Hurts at RB and Wentz at QB in the backfield sounds like a good plan. Don’t know who will get the snap.

I think this is the Hurts game tonight. At least I want it to. 10-12 plays, especially in the first half to help get off to a quicker start which has been an issue. They've actually done a lot of good stuff with him so far.

We brought some LB in for a tryout.

Cna that guy make it any smaller for us to read?  Can't even expand it when it opens.  Looks like Curtis Bolton from Oklahoma.

Some LB.  Good enough for me.  Sign him and cut Gerry.

plus a torn ACL.  Sign and extend him at once!

I thought Ertz was put on IR today?

Yes, I can see him as a starter at RG. He's no Brooks, though, so don't expect that from him. He's not an explosive run blocker and he's not light on his feet, though he's much better than Pryor and certainly Brown, who doesn't move his feet at all. He does well on combo blocks, especially on the initial block, where he goes hip to hip with the C, but he doesn't release particularly well to the next level. To a large degree that's simply coaching and reps but he's never going to be as agile as Seumalo or as fast as Mailata.

Stoutland doesn't ask him to be either of those guys. What comes to mind when I watch Herbig is the things he doesn't do  or, rather, the things Stoutland doesn't ask him to do. He doesn't trap or pull. If you wonder why our outside zone is so anemic right now, it's because of that - Herbig is not a guy who can pull across a formation and block a LB in space. We're trying to run the play with a different blocking pattern but with TEs who are less than stellar blockers, we don't get much with those calls. Peterson keeps it in the active playbook just to keep defenses honest. And he also, believe it or not, has Mailata pulling, a scary sight for a defender, though that's a long way for a tackle to run, all the way across the formation and then turn upfield.

Herbig is a sound inside pass protector, which is the most important thing. He squares up well, moves his feet, bends his knees, and has good hand placement. We could do worse than to have him at RG and Driscoll at LG.

I wonder if the Eagles would consider some unbalanced line play to shorten the distance for Mailata...  flip the RT outside his position and run it to the weakside.  It would shorten up his distance to the edge, and teams would have to overload the strong side for fear of giving an easy corner to the offense.  I havent seen a lot of that this year, and I guess the reason is with so many moving parts on the OL, its just one more thing rather than an enhancement.

Answers my question yesterday about whether or not you can trade a guy on IR. So short term can’t but long term you can.

Guys on IR could always be traded starting in 2018. I have no idea what this short term vs long term and no short term trade is. Sounds like another stupid 2020 rule if true.

You can trade a guy on IR, unless you designate his injury as minor, which the Eagles did.

I can tell you how Clement will do... Or more to the point what he will do... Nothing.

Now, now. He will run into his own men at the line of scrimmage.

I think minor they just meant in terms of short term for this year like 3 weeks he comes off. I’m guessing major means either season ending or 8+ weeks

@Casey @ Bat why you gotta copy my prediction bruh? Lol

They deserve to lose if Boston Scott gets 10+ carries.

@In2football 27-20 Eagles

@In2football

Giants 26

Eagles 21

Boston Scott owns the Giants so I’m sure he will.

Rather see Scott get more than 10 carries than see Wentz throw the ball 50+ times.

Herbig needs to cut about 20 pounds. He’s just sloppy looking.

No fat shaming, now.

What to do what to do:

Watch the debate or watch the Eagles game.

Depending on how the Eagles play i'd be mad in either case

Got a DVR? If so, not an issue.

If not, I'm sure the debate is available on Netflix to watch later

Make The Eagles Great Again.

Id watch football, unless you’re an undecided voter. Don’t think many minds are going to be changed in the last 2 weeks.
