What to do what to do:

Watch the debate or watch the Eagles game.

Depending on how the Eagles play i'd be mad in either case

Take a Benadryl and go to bed early.

@Casey @ Bat why you gotta copy my prediction bruh? Lol

My bad didn’t know you had already put that down. I’ll switch it to

@In2football 27-24 Birds. But, I’m not switching the fact that Schwartz should have this D ready to control game (which I don’t think he will). We’

IMO if the eagles can keep gerry from covering a TE tonite and don't let jones run off tackle out of the box this should be a WIN , oh yeah offense don't turn the ball over

Herbig is who he is. He's an ideal backup OG, which he will be next year behind Seumalo/Brooks.

Agreed. The Eagles need to keep their OL athletic. Part of the reason we can't get our screen game going is that our guards aren't able to pull out to get blocks on the edge. Herbig isn't athletic enough.

Chances we actually create a turnover??

Over/under turnovers at 1.5

Well then ... under

Thank God Howie wasn't dumb enough to trade a 1st (or 2nd) for Yannick.  Some of you wanted to do that.  I said all offseason I wouldn't even do it for a 2.

Now the Vikings just unloaded him for a 3 and a 5.

Just pointing out I’m pretty sure if the jags would’ve traded him before the franchise deadline to talk extension then whoever traded for him likely have gotten a deal done and he’d still play there. The fact Minnesota was willing to give up a second after the deadline passed it was dumb. I thought the jags were lucky to get a second at the time they dealt him.

Honestly they should’ve just moved the game to Monday or Tuesday tbh. the rest of his tweets it sounds like that’s the best scenario.

They probably will. The real reason they moved the schedule was to ensure they had a Sunday Night Football game.

Oh i get that. Frankly i thought should’ve Just moved it to Monday anyway instead of even risking Sunday afternoon

i must say i do love two Monday games

He's an Eagles follow on Twitter...he also called Ertz being frustrated about his contract before it went "public".

Some thoughts on the Ravens game before I completely flush it from my mind.

* I really don't know the answer to this, and I obviously have no clue if it was mentioned anywhere at any time this week. What would have been the ruling on the Sanders/Arcega-Whiteside touchdown if JJ had stepped out of bounds before recovering the ball in the endzone? He came pretty darn close to doing so but thankfully didn't. Would it have been a touchback? Would it have been the Eagles ball at the spot of the fumble? Could it conceivably have been a touchdown anyway? I doubt that last one. Just don't know.

* Jordan Mailata continues to impress. No, he wasn't perfect. But he looked like a capable NFL left tackle out there, perhaps even better than Winston Justice and Barrett Brooks ever looked. And they were highly regarded prospects with years of experience! I just have to laugh at the Eagles fans out there -- and there were a LOT of them -- who wanted him to be put on the practice squad his first year so that he can learn while not taking up a roster spot. Did they not realize that was an impossibility (imagine the voice of Michael Corleone talking to Kay about the impossibility of her getting custody of their children)? He would have been claimed on waivers in a heartbeat. Same for last year too. And then this year, there were fans complaining about wasting a roster spot on him. This of course was based on their "scouting by ear", having read tweets about him getting beat in camp on some reps by Joe Ostman. Fans always seem to want immediacy. They're always so reluctant to wait, to play the long game. But giving up on Mailata at any point in the past three seasons meant surrendering the option of watching him play the best years of his career -- I'm talking about the next seven to ten years -- in an Eagles uniform. Okay, so maybe he'll never amount to more than an adequate lineman. But it sure looks like he has way more of an upside than that. I've always been willing to wait for that. End of rant.

* I had to laugh when the announcer suggested the Ravens had a "puncher's chance" (his exact words) of making that 55-yard field goal in the fourth quarter? Oh My (imagine Dick Enberg). Have they never watched Justin Tucker kick a football before? Do they not realize that he's the best kicker in the HISTORY of the league? The odds of HIM making that kick were very good, hardly a "puncher's chance".

* When the Eagles won the Super Bowl, one of my reactions was along the lines of "Gee, I hope our fans can start to act rationally about the team instead of always criticizing every damn thing. They've certainly proved that they know what they're doing!" Alas, that hasn't happened. Sure, the team hasn't played well this year, but the complaining has completely gone off the rails. Fire Howie! Fire Doug! Wentz sucks! Ertz sucks! Let's trade Ertz! Ertz sucks so bad we won't get anything for him! It's insane. It's embarrassing.

* I'm still not giving up on this season. We're only a half game out of first place with ten games to play. And yeah, our schedule is tough, probably tougher than the Cowboys. But theirs isn't a walk in the park either. They still have to play the 49ers, Steelers, and Ravens, not to mention some other teams that can beat them. But at least we can hear the sound of hoof beats over the hill. There are some reinforcements coming. Probably after the bye. But they're coming back. Guys like Goedert, Ertz, Peters, Reagor, Jeffery, Sanders. We still haven't seen how this team functions with those all those guys in the lineup. Who's to say that THAT unit won't be a good one? We know that the current offense -- the one with only two starters -- is barely adequate. And it's obvious that a lineup like THAT isn't going to compete. But maybe the REAL lineup can play well. Wouldn't it suck outright if by the end of the year we're playing really well -- well enough to go toe to toe with teams like the Saints or Packers or Seahawks -- and we don't get the opportunity to show it in the playoffs because we lost too many games early in the year? So let's win these games now and give our future selves the opportunity to compete.

* I don't think Nathan Gerry is good at football. He might know where he's supposed to be on every play, but if there's ever a play to be made, he doesn't make it.

@In2football  Eagles 26 Giants 18.

I'll never understand why players are frustrated or unhappy with their contracts. They signed the damn thing. No one held a gun to their heads.

All make logical sense. Bears could use an upgrade from what jimmy Graham is now and foles is there. Indy could use him over burton. Seattle is basically a tight end away from being a complete offense. I would also think the bills and cardinals would be interested too

What is Ertz worth since he isn't available to play for at least 4 more weeks, possibly 6?

That window is closed.  He is on IR until past the deadline.  Can not be traded.

Keeping up with the Joneses.  Player X signs a contract, so Players Y and Z have to leapfrog it.  Then Player X feels undervalued and demands more.    Bad cycle.

If he was engaged in a block and stepped out of bounds I think he would just need to reestablish himself in bounds and he could recover the fumble. Since it wasn't a pass he wouldn't need someone else to touch the ball first. At least that's how I would think it works.

Good news... Opeta at LG, Herbig at RG.   I am looking forward to this OL.

Honestly, with the return they'd probably get for Ertz I'd rather they trade him in the offseason. Not worth trading for anything less than a 3rd.

Correct.  Both feet have to be back in bounds before he is allowed to touch the ball.
