Am I the only one with that feeling that we will not be very happy with the result of the trade after we it happens?...if it happens...

I’ll be happy with a 2nd round pick. The Rams has to GIVE UP A FIRST ROUNDER to rid themselves of Goff and his egregious contract.

Imagine sitting on your rear posting on a message board calling a professional athlete a loser. For a long time I thought we were all too smart to be WIP listeners and/or callers, Jesus H was I wrong. What a bunch of clowns 🤣

Mailata looks like he could start for the next decade and currently costs peanuts so would do nothing to help the cap, no way you trade a 23 year old starting caliber left tackle if you're serious about rebuilding.

If the Eagles are fortunate enough to get  #1, I'd like to get Mailata a good co-worker, I've seen sites where Wyatt Davis wasn't the #1 rated guard so quality should be available.

With and Mailata/#1 on the left and Brooks/Johnson on the right, the OL should be in good shape provided everyone stays healthy

Dead cap hit goes from 34 to 59 million the 3rd day of the league year.  Carson has to be traded by March 19th, if not he is here for 2021.

so even if we traded him before that date, we still owe him the 34 million?

That is signing bonus money cap hit.  He has already been paid that money.

Ah okay, then with a trade we're off the hook for the rest then?

Before March 20, yes

Read an article on SB Nation that the Colts are looking for a 2 year "filler" than a "full on marriage"

You do if you that's what it takes to get the deal done. Gotta give up something of value.

if you're that desperate to get rid and that sure he needs to go then you lower the price you don't hamstring your own future.

Whining behind closed doors is still whining. What's the difference? Guy is clearly a whiny loser who doesn't have the mental makeup to be great. Now things aren't going his way and he's demanding a trade. Probably why he went to North Dakota State, he couldn't handle possibly not being the grand poobah at a D1 school.

Didn't happen but it's your story pal , tell it anyway you want. Philly fans follow rumors like little children.

From their point of view they spent a high pick on Dillard and they must think he'll be back and healthy so trading a development project like Mailata is worth it.

I don't know anything about this EaglesBrawl podcast or this Tyler person, but this is interesting...

So when I say these days, anyone with a Twitter account is seen as "the media" - this is what I mean.

Do you know what's the dead cap hit if the Eagles trade him next offseason?

Wrong.  It is $33M if he's traded before the 3rd day of the league year.  After that it goes to $43M to account for the $10M roster bonus they'll pay him on the 3rd day of the league year.  The remaining amount is his 2021 guaranteed salary, which goes to the new team after a trade.

That's basically what Carson is.  The team acquiring him is only on the hook for 2 yrs / $48M guaranteed.  They are free and clear of him after that.

I believe it would be $24M.

$24 million a year in both cash and cap space for two years is a good deal.

Problem is Dilliard looks like a swing and a miss....."he struck him out!!"

So why does everyone make up these rumors about him? Hes just sitting around being the greatest leader ever but a bunch of reporters hate him I guess so they make up these rumors? Why doesnt this happen with the rest of the leagues QBs?

I heard from an unreliable source that the 49er's came in over the top at the last moment and the front office is waiting for others to see if they want to make another offer. A friend of mine claims to know someone in the organization so take it with a grain of salt.

Perfect imitation of the Philly media!! Congrats!!

You don't think unfounded BS happens in the rest of the league?   Use your head, unless of course you are just like the other haters and then carry on with your hate.

Well these days "met" can often mean virtually because of COVID.  Whether that's phone or zoom, that's not the point.  The point is people saying he's petulant and not speaking, didn't post a tweet to welcome the new coach.  He spoke to the coach, he doesn't have to tweet about it.  It's silly.

Thank You!

The QB of a football team needs to be a winner not a whiner.

Could not have said it any better, however some still think he's coming back here.......

That's how we see him. Howie sees Anthony Munoz.  And therein lies the heart of the problem.

I just want to see how this place would explode if Wentz goes to Chicago or Indy and wins a Super Bowl.

Fan base will be like:

1. Wentz plays at MVP level after trade- "See, I told you so!"
2. Wentz never plays well again- "See, I told you so!"
