They haven't gotten the offer they are looking for. What if nobody offers it? Then what? They already lost any leverage that they had. This is just a total mess. Who knows, maybe Howie snookers a team for a good return. The more time goes by, I am starting to doubt it. The more time goes by, the worse the return for the Eagles in whatever trade takes place. I hope the Eagles don't get suckered.

I'm sure the Colts could use a solid DL piece. Would much rather give em Ertz, Wentz, and a pick (or lower our asking price) though.

Keep the picks and drop as low accepting a 3rd for Wentz, straight up, that's better than nothing.

Howie can't expect another team to cover for his mistakes.

The worst case scenario is both Wentz and Hurts fight it out for the starting QB during training camp. However between now and training camp, some team will get desperate with injuries etc aka Sam Bradford scenario and will give Eagles the compensation they are looking for.

The more the wait goes, the more the Eagles are in a better position, Bears really want Wentz, without him they wont get a proven QB and if they draft a QB and Bears don't make the playoffs, both Nagy and their GM will be looking for work somewhere else, this is why they are pursuing Wentz aggressively as the risk is a lot lower, with higher chances of success.

Howie is terrible at drafting however wheeling and dealing is his strength, just have to let him do his thang, watch and wait.

I wonder if Howie's holdup has anything to do with the Texans and Watson? It does seem to me that the birds are losing leverage every day they wait, but at the same time it also seems that Watson will definitely be traded as well for a king's ransom.  Maybe Howie is hoping that someone grabs Watson and leaves a team qb desperate?  If colts/bears/49ers decide to go all in on Watson, does that increase, decrease, or not affect the value of Wentz?

Jaws says colts offered 2 2’s

If that's true and the Eagles rejected it there're are serious problems with decision maker Howie.

I would try Wentz for a #1 straight up, if you can't get that, 2 2nds is the next best thing.

What ever the Eagles do, not give up any draft picks in return, that's your future, watch the dumbarse  give up a 2nd or a 3rd

I can tell you now, teams are not going to pay a lot for Wentz because of his accuracy, it's as bad as I've seen in my many moons of following the NFL, most of his completed passes are off target which gives the receiver almost no chance of RAC.

Most talk about Lurie being a good owner, a good owner would not have someone like Howie making personnel decisions, "well, we'll see" Lurie is fraud owner that doesn't have a clue.

Re... really?

Ive seen a lot worse than Carson. He’s no gem in that department, but as bad as any you’ve ever seen?

Lurie bought the Eagles for 183 mil and the franchise is currently worth 2.7 bil...Chew on that while you call you Lurie a fraud. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Bears, YOURE UP! Top that or get the deal done with Colts, Howard.

IF that report is true Howie is smart to be waiting this out. Two late second round picks is not a good return at all, unless the future second is conditional and could become a first fairly easily. One of these teams should just offer up 20 or 21 and if so I think the deal gets done.

Looking more and more like the whole trade thing was a hoax.

Surely they would've pulled the trigger on something by now. Even Howie is not that dumb.

''A hoax''......have you been living under a rock the last couple of months.

Putting hating on Howie aside for a moment, I wonder if part of what he might be negotiating are those kind of conditions in the deal.  Like if Wentz achieves certain things then the pick becomes higher or something like that.

It seems they should be trading Ertz since he was unhappy and he could be a cap casualty.  I don't know why Howie doesn't try to include him to the Colts.  Wentz + Ertz for Colts 1st round this year, 2nd round next year and they include an additional pick this year or future.   I don't know all that trade value chart stuff with draft picks though.

If I'm Howie and I am getting back a pick in 2022 I am trying like hell to get conditions added to the pick to make it better potentially. I would also avoid anything related to Wentz's playing time, stats, etc. One big injury and those conditions could be out the door. I'd try to make them based on the Colts success, making the playoffs, making the AFCCG, making the SB, etc. Also, I would agree with you that attaching Ertz isn't a bad idea, although Chicago has no need for him and depending on what the Colts think of Doyle and MAC they might not have much interest either.

There is plenty to hate Howie on but trade negotiations is not one of them. By reading some comments urging Howie to accept the colts deal is crazy. You bozos don’t have a clue about negotiation. It’s a long process. The Colts and Bears are interested because they are still negotiating which means there is wiggle room on their end too. By the look of it, Howie will not get two 1s. But makes no sense for him to accept the colts deal (that Jaws reported) right now for a few reasons. #1 the eagles have time to work with. #2 there are clearly at least 2 teams attempting to get Wentz. Wait them out to see if one of them Cave or come closer to your demands.

I didn't know the conversation was about money but if you want to go there I can give you something to chew on.

Personally, I never thought the NFL should have approved Lurie to be an owner because he didn't have owner money like most others do.

I really question Lurie's loyalty to the Eagles and their fans, because he's sticking with Howie as the GM, maybe it's all about making money with him.

For a 5 year starter, it's as bad as I've seen, you rarely get to see it because that kinda of play gets the player benched.

I wonder how many of these new screen names are Wentz burner accounts?

You caught me and here’s the deal, when Howie has the guts to make a zoom call and look into my brown eye and say "you’re traded” then I’ll take the call.
As for rumors, on the day he was fired I saw Doug on a motorcycle, he rode up to that stupid statue took off his helmet and through it right at Nick’s face, then rode away.   Please excuse me,  it’s almost time for my midnight prayer, and I must prepare.

I love it- NOBODY can stand that they can't make Wentz do what THEY want him to do! Now Seth is making wishes to the football fairy godmother. S'matter, Seth- Carson won't grant your personal wishes? Too damn bad. I don't care about what happens anymore, but Wentz doesn't have to grant people THEIR little hearts desires.

I really don't care if he says anything for not. I just appreciate stand up character, something he doesnt seem to portray.

3rd for Golden Tate for half a year.

4th for Avery, what's he done?

This is like contracts and cap. He had some hits in the past but his new stuff is garbage.

A 3rd for golden tate for half a year that they got back when he left in free agency thanks to comp picks so essentially he gave up nothing for the guy that made the game winning catch For us to make the playoffs.  Also that’s on howie for not retaining tate and letting Nelson leave which IMO was the Smarter move.  Avery you got me. He doesn’t play enough to give up that value but he’s no worse then who howie would of picked in the 4th if he never traded it.  I had hopes for him especially after he seemed like he was in on one play his first game and got a sack.
