It's an entirely different thing to deep throat everything the guy doesPeople here are so sensitive you can't defend the guy without getting your own RNR topic. Before he got hurt he wasn't in the top 4 or 5 reasons things were going wrong. I don't even like Hurts and I saw that. We are also lucky to have a guy who can win even with his flaws. Too many angry people here with issues. The guy went out and played with blood clots. I'll never be a huge fan of him but I respect him and remember when players like that were loved in this town even when they failed. I almost hope they sign him now just to watch the mental breakdowns.

No one is falling for that.

He’s clutch, he’s composed, he’s been a top dual threat, he’s been great in patches. But he’s not an excellent passer and with him now limiting the running it’s time to consider his future.I wonder if his being diagnosed with multiple blood clots (it sounds like multiple) will encourage him to play so as to limit hard hits. It seems he has been doing that already prior to this episode.

Not even you until you went nuts. That turned to gratitude but I still don't. I can't stand people bashing him as their main issue this year though. Anyone who complains about him before the coach, system, OC, OL, and not having a run game is an idiot who doesn't know the game close to as well as they think and all they are doing is posting hate.He has flaws. Major ones. They drive me nuts but he still gives them their best shot at winning the next year or two. I'm not wasting picks for Burrow who considered early retirement until recently. I'm not trading for JH. There are no better options in FA. Drafting a guy in a class that looked as weak as it did last weekend isn't either. 28 is when I'd go after one.Either way the guy plays hard and plays injured. I may not like him but I do respect him and the haters here who I used to be the biggest of are wrong.

The equivalent of when Mahomes signed a 10 year $450M contract.$55M right now isn't even top of the market. Within 3-4 years it will be $70M+ and by the final year of that deal top QB contracts will be $80M+ per year. Are you certain the 2026 QB market isn't equivalent to the August 1929 U.S. stock market? Hint: look at what happened on October of 1929. No I don't think QB pay will drop from $60 million to $30 million but I think it'll slow. Maybe make QB - or any other player's pay - not to exceed a certain % of the total team payroll.

And rarely puts the ball in harms way while still making aggressive throws.I’m not sure we are watching the same guy here. Does he throw a really good deep ball? Yes. Is he accurate? Yeah for the most part. But he doesn’t consistently go through his progressions, he locks in on targets, he bails the pocket and rolls to his right often and now he’s not the same runner. He doesn’t put the ball in harms way because he’s not an aggressive passer.

So given the seriousness of this injury you couldn’t blame him if he was even more cautious.

Now Hurts is removed from the equitation for the year. So what you will see from the offense and how it operates and the plays calls are all the Sirianni offense/ideology that hangs over this team. How was your demigod doing with this year's offensive players? 2-3 with wins over the 29th ranked Commanders and 30th ranked Titans and not by much at that. It's not and never is all about Jalen.

But then what’s the argument for the passing offense in 2023? 2024? 2025? I mean asides from 2022 (where Hurts was an elite dual threat) the passing offense has underwhelmed every year.

The dot com bubble burst was a recent example, the sub prime crash of 2008 is another.
