Why is Devonta Smith not on IR?

I’m sick and tired of a 25 player injury list and the entire team not practicing.

Anyone that hasn’t been healthy all year, won’t play next week, and isn’t trade bait should just get thrown on IR now. If the roster ends up with 40 players, start raiding practice squads.

Nah, it goes past injuries. Even before the laundry list of injuries the team looked like garbage against garbage teams. He has directly lost them 2 games this year because of his ineptitude and the team has quit. They look completely unprepared and overwhelmed every time they take the field.

All that aside, Lurie cares what fans think despite what the team puts out, if sirianni is back after this season people are going to riot. Sirianni will get fired the second the season ends along with Mannion, and Vic will retire.

Barkley is a great dude. Howie gave him more money when he doesn’t have to…and it’s clear Barkley would do anything for this team to get out and contribute, even if it means sacrificing his body in a lost season.

At this point, wouldn’t shock me if Howie only wants him to play to showcase him for a trade. Otherwise, I have no idea why we are destroying what little tread he’s got left on those tires while he’s gimped on in a lost season.

I think lurie may even simplify it more. For three consecutive years to pass offense hasn’t looked good. Even before the injuries, it didn’t look right. Granted some of that is learning a new system. But the previous two years they had two pro bowl caliber wide receivers, a good tight end and a very good running back and they couldn’t figure out how to get the passing game to be consistent. Lurie knows this is a passing league. It shouldn’t be that hard to have a functional passing game. At some point in time whether you believe it’s hurts or you believe it’s Nick Sirianni, one of those guys is gonna be gone. if it doesn’t get fixed after one of those guys is gone, then the other guys gonna be gone.

That wasn't a defense of him playing. But, its why he's out there. And because he wants to be, and they let players decide.

The defense isn't that banged up... and they gave up.

EJ Smith said he doesn't look healthy in warmups before the game and he said he thinks there's a chance they only use him in emergency situations.
